My hobby is buying very rare classic cars and vehicles of special interest, I go through them and get them ready to enjoy, I date code tires for safety repair any mechanical failures and drive and enjoy until more come along. That being said, I have a group of friends that enjoy working on these old cars and they are all very skilled, most have well over 30 years building their own cars and restoring their own cars, we have a great time and turn out some great rides. I have a small very well equipped shop that is climate controlled, but I am limited both by space and money, so they must be sold to move on to others I have already purchased . I really enjoy the hobby and enjoy visiting with other hobbyist so I ask if you have interest in purchasing a car advertised here, pickup the phone ,ask questions ,be informed and take advantage of buying a car from someone willing to tell you about it, instead of just buying a car at auction that you know nothing about. These cars are old ,even if every component is new ,they can break, that is also part of the hobby. Jay 512 913 3895

Engine / Driveline This is a numbers-matching 1969 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 Holiday Coupe. It has a 400 cubic inch V-8, Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, and a 10-bolt Posi-Traction rear end. The car was running and driving a little less than a year ago. As of right now, when hooked to a battery the engine will crank but it does not turn over. No fuel to carburetor. Still has original Rochester 4-barrel carburetor. Factory air conditioned car with original Frigidaire components still installed. Power steering and power brakes need to be redone. Drum brakes all the way around. New suspension is needed all the way around. Exhaust system including mufflers look like they’re original to the car. Interior Red cloth interior with front bucket seats and center console with floor shifter and rallye gauges. Aftermarket cassette deck in place of the original radio has been installed. Dashboard has minimal cracking for its age. Package tray below rear window is intact. Seats are intact but show their age. Original headliner is still in the car. Door panels are original but they are beyond repair. The entire interior is original, but it will all need to be redone. Windows roll up and down but will need alignment. The car will need a new front windshield, but the rest of the glass is usable. Gauges still light up. Has correct “442” emblem on glove compartment door. All seatbelts are still there. Odometer shows 155,255 miles. Body The exterior body of the car has rust in all of the typical A-body areas. It will need patch panels. Floor pans have some smaller rust areas but are repairable. Oldsmobile side marker lamps are still in place. Rear bumper is in good condition but will need to be re-chromed. Bottom edge of trunk lid has a little rust. Trunk lid emblems were missing when I bought the car but it comes with the original “442” fender emblems for both sides. Original jack instruction stickers are still on underside of trunk lid. Trunk interior is in overall good condition. Original jack and rear trailer hitch are still with the car. Gas cap is missing (I have taped it off). Car was in a light fender bender on the front passenger side many years ago under the previous owner. The very front passenger side of the frame is slightly warped and the bumper mounting point is bent backward a little. The affected area is shown in the pictures provided. However, this is very repairable and the affected area will only need to be slightly straightened if a frame-off restoration is done to the car. Front bumper has since been replaced and is very shiny and in good condition. Front passenger fender was replaced (by previous owner) with a fender off of a ’69 Cutlass. Hood is original and has been repaired with bondo. The hood is very straight and the original “442” emblems are still in place, but have some bubbling on driver side. The car will need new front passenger headlight bezel. Rearview mirrors are in good condition. Original antenna is in good condition. Paint is original, but needs to be redone. Wheels Car has Oldsmobile Rallye II wheels with snap-in center caps. 2 center caps are missing (passenger side). I believe these wheels are off of a 1972 model. According to my research, 1969 model year 4-4-2 cars should have the bolt-on center caps. New tires are needed. Documentation This car still has the original broadcast sheet, owner’s manual, plastic sleeve for the owner’s manual, manual for the original radio, and clear blue Texas Title. o VIN: 344879M37462 § 1st Digit: 3 (GM Division Oldsmobile) § 2nd-5th Digit: 4487 (4-4-2: 2-Door Holiday Coupe) § 6th Digit: 9 (Model Year 1969) § 7th Digit: M (Lansing, Michigan Assembly Plant) § Last 6 Digits: 37462 (Production Number) o Broadcast Sheet Codes: § M40: TH400 Automatic Transmission § PL5: Tires- Blackwall Wide, Oval Polyester Cord F70 x 14” § N66: Wheel, Rally Type (Super Stock II, 13”) § U63: Radio, Push Button Control § A02: Glass, Tinted Windshield (Tinted Upper) § C60: Air Conditioner, Manual Control § B32: Mat, Front Floor Throw § D55: Console, Compartment Floor (Var. 1) This 1969 4-4-2 is an EXCELLENT frame-off restoration candidate with lots of potential. It was purchased new in New Mexico and moved to West Texas a few years later where it spent most of its life. I purchased it about 6 months ago from the original family with the intention of restoring it, but I will be moving soon and will no longer have the space for the build so it’s time to find it a good home. Car is located in the Austin, Texas area. Car is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. No returns. Shipping /pick-up is entirely the responsibility of the buyer. $500 PayPal deposit within 24-hours of sale, and remainder of balance via cash or cashier’s check within 5 days of sale. Please feel free to contact me for more information and/or pictures of the car. Thanks for looking!

Its matching-numbers 455 has been tuned and tweaked to take no prisoners on the street, and the brilliant Rally Red paint is pretty much the opposite of subtle. Add in a 4-speed, a W-30 kit, and, well, you have a brute-force muscle car that has a bright future ahead of it. Rally Red was Oldsmobile's name for Hugger Orange, and it looks every bit as spectacular here as it does on your favorite Camaro. You already know that we love Oldsmobile's version of the A-body, with its neo-fastback profile and bulging quarter panels, and this one hits all the right notes. With W-30 badging, a ram air hood, and the spoiler on the rear deck, it looks downright nasty, and the drag-race look certainly isn't just for show. Finish quality is good, which is how you want it on a car that's going to go out hunting on weekends and maybe hit the track on test-and-tune night. Leave perfection for the trailer queens, this 442 is made to be driven! The black stripes highlight the aggressive look, yet it retains its unique Oldsmobile identity thanks to chrome bumpers and a few bright stainless trim pieces that really dress it up. The black interior is still pure Oldsmobile. Handsome bucket seats look upscale and comfortable, and flank an optional center console that's a very desirable addition. The 4-spoke steering wheel should look familiar to any Olds fan and the stainless-faced gauges with their delicate pointers are some of the most attractive dials of the muscle car era. Of course, as an Olds, they just couldn't lay off the burled walnut appliques on the dash, door panels, and console, but it makes for a nice contrast to the otherwise monochromatic interior. A Tick-Tock-Tach is a welcome upgrade, as is the tilt steering column, and the original AM radio was ditched in favor of an AM/FM/cassette head unit in the center of the dash. A Hurst shifter manages the 4-speed gearbox and 442-logo floor mats are a gentle reminder that this isn't your father's Oldsmobile (sorry). The trunk is sparse, but it's covered in correct spatter-finish paint and carries a full-sized spare for emergencies. The original, numbers-matching 455 cubic inch V8 sill delivers a smackdown to the unwary, especially now that it's been suitably fortified. The block is original, and now wears E heads, an Edelbrock intake, and a big Holley 4-barrel carb, so performance is entertaining to say the least. It looks industrial strength with aluminum valve covers and those bright red W-30 inner fenders, and there's nothing getting in the way of maximum performance. It's backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end, which is upgraded with a W-30 rear end cover that not only looks cool but adds strength to the entire assembly. Long-tube headers feed a custom dual exhaust system with X-pipe, so it has a spectacular engine note that has to be heard to be believed. The relatively stock suspension uses upgraded sway bars to keep things level, and handsome Centerline aluminum wheels carry staggered 225/70/15 front and 295/50/15 rear BFG radials. This is not a purist's 442, but if you're an Oldsmobile guy who appreciates performance, then you know exactly what this car brings to the table. Details are below VIDEO & Photos 71 Ram Air “SX 455” convertible How RARE is the 1971 SX/455 convertible ? 1 of only 357 built …. that is very rare indeed! And this may be the finest 1971 “SX” 455 convertible in existence. Of the 357 built, how many would check off the value points below? Important “value points” - VERY rare when built & now super rare 44 years later - Vin “Numbers Matching” original 455 engine - Entire driveline is original and now FRESH - High option car with EVERY base 442 option & more - Documented with Fisher Body “broadcast card” - Owner history is known (only 2 owners from NEW) - Texas car from new (dry southern car) - Good car PRIOR to restoration, original body panels - Original colors (…. rare color combination) - Original OEM Ram Air hood added but NOT a repo - Restored to like new condition - Motor rebuilt to 1970 specs …. it has real power - Freezing COLD air conditioning - Less than 500 miles since restoration…. NO wear - Outstanding driving experience - Eye-popping beautiful. Needs nothing for immediate on demand enjoyment … it is FUN ! What exactly is an “SX” Think of it as a 442 in a “dinner jacket”. That’s right, it has every base 442 option including the 455 big block that in the 1971 production year was built to the same specs as the 442. In 1971, the difference between the SX and the 442 is simply in the “presentation”. Basically it’s a “stripe & badge delete” 442 that was conceived and built for a very specific, well heeled target market. The target market for the SX was bankers, lawyers, doctors and corporate types who could afford a top of the line luxury “high performance” car but did not necessarily want all the “showmanship” that came with stripes, spoilers and emblems. It was kind of a factory “sleeper”. The ONLY outward sign that this was something special was the SX emblem on the fenders and of course the signature 442 rear bumper and trumpet exhaust. Options, Options & more Options This particular SX convertible is a LOADED luxury muscle car with every standard 442 option PLUS many options above & beyond the 442 package. 442 performance package options - 4bbl / 455 - Turbo 400 automatic transmission - Special Suspension - Dual Exhaust - Sport Mirrors - Special Bumper with cutouts for Trumpet exhaust tips Options beyond base 442 package: - Air Conditioning ..... COLD (updated to modern R34) - Power Top / Power Steering / Power DISC brakes - Rally Pack Gauges / Tachometer / electric Clock - Ram Air Induction Hood with special Air Cleaner - Bucket seat / floor sifter Console - AmFm STEREO Radio (NOTE – only working intermittently) - Rally Steering Wheel - Tilt Steering Column - Electric Trunk Release button in glove box - Rally II Wheels - Special Interior under dash remote Hood Lock - Optional heavy rubber trunk mat - etc, etc Mondello Performance Estimated at 365hp with 500 ft lbs of torque 442 folks will instantly recognize Dr. Olds and Mondello Performance as the “go to source” for the Olds 455 power plant. When rebuilding the original motor in this car the goal was to achieve a power output that was more in line with 1970 specs. The motor was bored .030 over and a Mondello camshaft, special lifters and Flow Master exhaust were selected based on “direct consultation” with Mondello Performance. Additionally, a very mid stall was added in the turbo 400 tranny rebuild. The end result is that “smooth” on demand power and torque that made the 442 and its 455 power plant legendary. Ultimate road trip car It has a TALL 2.73 highway gear that allows for low rev highway driving …. this car is the ultimate road trip car. NO high revs at highway speeds, NO annoying aggressive lope, NO overheating and NO bad habits of any kind. Just boat loads of civilized long legged power from the Olds 455 torque monster. Great History 2 Texas owners since new Sold new at Medor Olds in Fort Worth Texas to its first owner, James Ward who, prior to his death, sold it to the 2nd owner and a personal friend of mine, Mike Wisdom. Mike purchased the car approximately 16 years ago. This same friend (Mike Wisdom) and fellow Texan does high quality car restoration work and has done some work for me over the years. The original owner loved this car and after logging 130k miles he parked it some time in late 1992, early 1993 (…. see the last Texas Inspection Sticker in photos above dated 5/29/92). After retiring the car, Mr. Ward held on to it with dreams of restoring it to its former glory. In the late ‘90’s he ended up taking to my friend for a full restoration but, due to failing health, ultimately ended up selling his dream machine to my friend. Restored by 2nd owner Mike Wisdom rebuilt virtually everything on the car. His goal was two fold. To bring the car back to show room new condition and to boost the performance to be more in line with the 1970 442. The restoration was completed about 1 year ago and has less than 500 miles since completion (most of these 500 miles have been logged by me). It shows no evidence of wear and looks show room new. While the original miles on the car are just over 131k, I have listed it at 500 miles which is the miles on the car since a total restoration. In any event the car will be sold as mileage EXEMPT due to its age. NOTE: The top currently on the car is serviceable, however it does not present as nice as the rest of the car so it is currently scheduled to be REPLACED along with a new windshield as the current windshield has one rock chip. The top on the car is white and will be replaced with a white top. These items are scheduled and will be done prior to shipping the car to the new owner. Good condition PRIOR to restoration Prior to restoration the car was in good condition (never wrecked, no rust issues and completely unaltered). It had been in a dry Texas climate since new and driven by one adult owner who cherished the car. However, after 130k miles and 21 years of service, it was tired and in need of some love. I saw this car many times BEFORE it was restored. In fact, on numerous occasions I tried to purchase it in its un-restored state from my friend. His answer was always …. “No, I am going to restore this one for myself”. That day finally came and the results are most impressive. Lucky for me, Mike’s focus is now turned to his next restoration project and I ended up with the car. This history is now documented for the lucky new owner in the above VIDEO. A copy of the video and these photos along with the Broadcast Card and old inspection sticker will go with the car. PRICE Like all my cars, I have priced this car very fair for what it is. I do NOT have to sell this car. This is a very special car in every way that actually matters. I believe it would be impossible to duplicate at this price. If you were lucky enough to find a high quality survivor 1971 SX convertible with these options and paid a restoration shop to bring it to this level, the restoration cost alone would easily exceed the price I am selling it for. My passion is finding the real treasures and enjoying them for a short time, making a video to bring interest to the hobby and knowledge surrounding the unique attributes of these very special cars, and offering them to the market place at realistic, fair prices (usually below their true potential value). Do NOT make a bid or offer until you read everything below. Any bid or offer is a legal acknowledgement and agreement on your part to be bound by the Terms and Conditions put forth below and additionally specified within eBay itself. Have FUNDS ready PRIOR to bidding or making an offer. Full payment must be received within five (7) business days of the end of auction/sale unless I agree in writing to alternative terms. WIRE TRANSFER IS PREFERRED for US buyers and required for all buyers “outside” the United States. Cashier’s check, direct deposit or cash in person are acceptable but in ALL cases this vehicle and its title will NOT be released until complete payment is received and all funds have irrevocably cleared BOTH Banks. If paying by Bank Cashiers Check, I must receive a copy of any Bank Cashiers Check in ADVANCE along with your “internal bank contact information” for confirmation of your Bank Check by my Bank. Bank Cashiers checks MUST BE classified by my bank as having irrevocably cleared both Banks prior to my release of vehicle and title. Loan checks must be agreed to by me PRIOR to you making a bid or offer. Money Orders are NOT accepted. I have an agency relationship with a Licensed Texas Dealer and all cars will be sold through this Dealer. Texas buyers will have to pay Texas sales tax and license/registration fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for taxes in their own states. This is a very nice vehicle. However, there is no such thing as a "PERFECT" vehicle...especially when dealing with vintage vehicles. This is not a new vehicle; it is decades old. Even a restored or partially restored vehicle can and will have flaws and normal wear and tear congruent to its age and/or mileage. This vehicle may have minor dings, scratches (or, other imperfections) and indications of wear and use because it has been used. This vehicle is sold AS IS - NO WARRANTY This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, of any kind expressed or implied. It is the responsibility of the buyer and/or buyers agent to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle (prior to the end of the eBay listing), and to have satisfied themselves as to the condition and value and to bid or offer based upon that judgment solely. Arranging for an independent third-party inspection is a great way to validate a seller's claims about a vehicle's condition. There are many companies and individuals who offer such a service. These services are listed on the internet and can be found in most collector car magazine publications. Of course your personal inspection and scrutiny are suggested and most welcomed. Any and all inspections must occur PRIOR to the end of this eBay listing. The seller has made a diligent effort to accurately describe any known material defects associated with this vehicle. Additionally, the seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose at the “buyer's request prior to the end of the eBay listing” any additional specific details important to the Buyer. However, any descriptions or representations from the Seller are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. Everything stated in the description is to the best of the seller’s knowledge. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. The Seller does not expressly, or implicitly, guarantee the accuracy of the description including authenticity or genuineness of the vehicle and/or its components and assumes no responsibility for any repairs or defects regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any and all claims or disputes arising from or related to this transaction, other than a claim for injunctive relief, shall first be submitted to mediation in Denton County, Texas in accordance with the then governing rules of the American Arbitration Association. If the parties cannot resolve their dispute through mediation, they shall have the issue resolved through arbitration with the then governing rules of American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon an arbitration award may be entered in the District Court for the County of Denton, State of Texas. Parties shall bear their own costs related to any mediation or arbitration proceeding.

I bought this 1968 Cutlass convertible about 10 years ago which has a clear 1968 Texas title which is in my name. It was running and driving good when I bought it. About 2 years ago I saw a 69 Hurst olds and I wanted one of them so I had the car Restored to look like a 1969 Hurst Olds convertible. These parts were changed, doors, hood, front radiator core support, trunk lid, front fenders, new front and rear bumpers, new hood scoop, new rear spoiler on the trunk lid, the rear back trunk section of sheet metal off of a 69 cutlass convertible was installed for the tail lights to fit it. This made the car look like a 1969 Hurst olds (clone). It had a Olds 350 engine in it so I got a Olds 455 engine and had it rebuilt. There was only three 1969 Hurst Olds convertibles produced and one of them was destroyed. I had watched the video showing one of the two in existence and tried to copy it as close as I could. There are 2 videos of the car listed at the bottom of this listing that you can watch. This car was built to be driven so it is a driver quality car to be driven. It may look like a show car to some people but it is a driver. You can drive it to a local car show and you might win the show with this car. Due to my bad health I must sell all of my cars and our house. It was just finished being restored October 2014. A $500 deposit required within 48 hours. This vehicle is sold AS IS and WITH OUT ANY WARRANTIES. Please call Chris Martin at my home number 972-617-0354 or my cell 469-441-1891. The house phone number is the best number to call first. Please call me so you can ask any thing about the car you want to. Its best to know every thing about the car before you buy it. I am at home most of the time. You can call any time. Its always best if you can come and see the car before buying it or have some one come and see it for you. We live in Red Oak Texas 75154 which is about 15 miles south of Dallas. There has only been one 1969 cutlass convertible (clone) sold this year on ebay and it sold for $36,300 so you can get a really good deal on this one on ebay on a buy it now for only $29,995.00 or you can make a offer and hope you might get it. I have spent over $40,000 on what I paid for the car plus the cost of the parts and the labor to have it restored. Be sure to watch the videos at the bottom of this page.
