Up for sale are my two (2) Heckflosse W110 190D Mercedes Benz automobiles. One has been partially restored the other has been partially used for a parts donor. There are numerous additional parts that go with the cars. Those include a short block engine and air conditioner. One of the 190D’s came from “Texas” and the other came from “Ohio.” Both are inspected and clear titled here in North Carolina. The Texas car was picked for restoration because its body was in the best condition. Ohio had a better engine that tested in great condition. Texas had been outfitted with AC so we first attempted getting its engine running only to find that it had low compression on one cylinder during our tests and decided to make repairs without doing a major component transplant. Initially our intentions were to restore both Texas and Ohio. From our testing we decided that the valves were leaking and the injection pump was improperly timed. So we had the head rebuilt and timed the injection pump only to further conclude the rings were in need of replacement so we pulled the engine from Ohio and installed it in Texas. That’s where Ohio and Texas are at currently. Ohio’s engine, transmission and drive shaft are now installed in Texas and it runs. The shift linkage on the running Texas needs to have bushings installed and adjusted. We have many of those parts and will, of course will go with the car. It has new tires, brakes, steering parts, starting and a variety of other parts. Ohio has better upholstery and the dash is in better shape. The unitized body on Ohio has more rust and will need more body attention however both cars are candidates for restoration. That would be your choice if you want to do engine work or some sheet metal welding. Ohio does not currently have tires but the rims are waiting to have tires installed if you decide to restore it. Otherwise it can be dismantled for parts.

This is a restored 1961 Mercedes 190b Ponton sedan with 86,684 original miles documented by service records which came with the car. The previous owner stated that the car was purchased in Germany by a US serviceman who returned with it to California where it remained until I purchased the car in 2008. I believe I am the fourth owner. The car was shipped to New Hampshire and spent two years undergoing restoration. It has been driven less than 1,000 miles since the restoration was completed. For the last seven years, the car has been stored during winter and NEVER driven in the snow. The body was disassembled and stripped to bare metal (the underbody was left untouched to show off the original gray paint with only minor surface rust here and there). The body is absolutely straight and 100 percent rust free. When down to bare metal, we found evidence of an early minor crease in the front right fender, which had been professionally repaired. The bumpers have been rechromed and the aluminum body trim has been sanded, buffed and refinished. All other chrome is original and in excellent condition. The body was repainted with epoxy primer and finished with three coats of DuPont Chroma Premier single stage enamel (color LS 126) with wet sanding between coats. The trunk and wheel wells were finished in black epoxy paint. B-Quiet sound deadening material has been added to the doors, the roof and behind the rear seat to reduce road noise and vibration. Wooden dash trim has been refinished with hand-rubbed oil. The OE chrome beauty rings included on the wheels were an available accessory when the car was sold. The restoration includes many new parts: Starter Motor mounts Muffler, resonator and exhaust pipe Gas tank filter screen Bilstein shock absorbers Under-hood heat shield / sound proofing blanket Fender-mounted side markers Headliner Upholstery Coco floor mats Retro-look digital radio Under-dash OEM Mercedes speakers in pods Radio antenna Leather steering wheel cover Bosch dual horns Fresh air intake ducts Driver side mirror Running board mats Door seals and assorted other gaskets / rubber Trunk mats and trunk seal Window channels Front and rear window gaskets BF Goodrich wide white wall tires All hoses and hose clamps The carburetor, distributor and fuel pump have been rebuilt and the radiator has been re-cored. The mechanical fuel pump has been augmented by an electric fuel pump. The original tool kit is in excellent condition. The engine runs strong and is quite responsive for a four-cylinder. Valve clearance has been recently adjusted. Transmission is four speed manual shift on the steering column. There are small dents in the tops of the fenders where my exuberant (ex)mechanic overflexed the hood (see pictures). The rubber floor mats are original and in very good condition for their age; however, the rear mat has a tear over the tunnel. The rear-view mirror has some de-silvering around the edges but the chrome is in excellent condition. The window washer fluid bag is new, but the original cap is not holding pressure and needs to be reworked/replaced. The car comes with some assorted spare parts and hardware, including matching-color sheepskin front seat covers. The reserve on this car is less than half the amount I have invested in it. I am selling because I have two other Mercedes cars that need my time and attention, and this car is spending most of its time in storage these days. Please ask any and all questions before you bid; I urge you to inspect this car in person in Francestown, NH, if you are seriously interested. This car is for sale locally, so the listing may be terminated prior to the close. The winning bidder will need to make a non-refundable $500 deposit via Paypal within three days of the end of the auction. The balance must be paid with a bank wire transfer or cash within ten days and before the car is picked up. Pick-up / shipping arrangements are the buyer's responsibility.

Hello, with deep regret I feel the time has come to pass on my most prized possession, my pristine 1988 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3. Original California car since purchased from Caliber Motors in Anaheim Hills CA on October 11, 1988. ***Please note, I am the 4th owner*** Car just received fresh Mercedes Benz oil change at Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz Newport Beach on saturday 10/24, as well as a complete wash and detail. No expenses have ever been spared. I purchased this exceptional 1988 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3 on Jan 28, 2015. The car was acquired from the second owner sometime in May 2014 by the third owner. Then I purchased the car in January 2015. Previous maintenance that I am aware of prior to my ownership was done in 2006 at Ruben's Imports in Dana Point included replacing the water pump, and thermostat at 80,000 miles. Also during another routine service as dated under the hood, in 2005 the air conditioning was completely and professionally retrofitted from R-12 to R-134a. Since my ownership, this car has been just about 100% restored, cosmetically as well as mechanically. Such restoration includes, but is not limited to, NOTHING but OEM or equal Mercedes-Benz quality replacement parts such as: ALL BRAND NEW REPLACED SINCE 2/2015. THIS CAR IS JUST ABOUT ALL BRAND NEW. -OEM BOSCH FUEL PUMP-OEM BOSCH FUEL FILTER-OEM BOSCH FUEL ACCUMULATOR-4 OEM BOSCH FUEL INJECTORS WITH SEALS-OEM BOSCH FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR-OEM BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR-OEM MANN AIR FILTER-ALL FUSES IN FUSE BOX REPLACED WITH ALL COPPER FUSES-OEM BREMI SPARK PLUG WIRES-OEM DEADSTOCK BOSCH SUPER H8DC FACTORY ORIGINAL SPARK PLUGS FOR 190, AND 300E-OEM VICTOR REINZ VALVE COVER GASKET-ONLY 91 OCTANE PREMIUM UNLEADED CHEVRON GASOLINE ONLY (NOTHING LESS)-MB BRAND COOLANT FLUSH-LIQUID-MOLY OIL CHANGE AND FILTER-4 BRAND NEW MICHELIN ENERGY 185 65 15 OEM SIZE TIRES WITH PROFESSIONAL 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT-MB BRAND "SUMMERFIT" WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID-BOSCH BATTERY-FULL R-134A REFRIGERANT RECHARGE-OEM COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR-AIR CONDITIONING BEHR RECEIVER/DRYER REPLACEMENT-AIR CONDITIONING SCHRADER VALVE REPLACEMENT-FEBI FRONT AND REAR FLEX DISK REPLACEMENT-NEW OEM DEADSTOCK BOSCH HEADLIGHT DOOR REPLACEMENT And now a little insight as to why you want a 1988 Mercedes-Benz 190E and not an earlier or later model. The early model 190E's have a thin body trim and is much more appealing in my opinion rather than the thick body skirt look of the 190E's from 1989-1992. 1988 was the last year with the thin body trim, but first with tilt sunroof standard, as well as the "check engine light" ODB1 computer diagnostic system, only equipped on california cars. Let alone to mention the astonishing color combo of 702 Smoke Silver Metallic and 175 Creme Beige MB tex vinyl. This car is 100% original quality paint and interior. The steering wheel is firm and thick, not soft and squishy from years left out in the california sun. The horsehair in the seats are firm and comfortable, just as they were brand new in 1988. The dash is very clean, yet shows 3 small cracks near the speakers from age sadly. The air conditioner cools you immediately to comfort. The instrument cluster flaunts slightly faded orange needles but overall in outstanding condition. You will not find 1 single stain on any square inch of the carpets or seats on the entire interior, no food is allowed inside the vehicle. The car does not smell as some older Mercedes-Benz do, but a pleasant clean smell. The original radio and antenna function 100%. All 8 glass windows on the vehicle are original Sekurit or Sigla, with 1 blemish to the drivers side windshield which has been "glue" patched at some point. The vehicle comes with a nice large stack of original dealership 1988 190E brochures as well as manuals, and original dealership license plate insert from Caliber Motors in Anaheim Hills in 1988. The handling, shocks, and suspension, are ever so tight much as a Mercedes-Benz can be expected to feel. All door and body panels exemplify their original VIN# sticker, except the right rear quarter panel, the trunk lid, and rear bumper, were all replaced by Mercedes-Benz in 1997 [hence the european warning triangle in the trunk lid] No noticeable body works signs whatsoever. FLAWS: Unfortunately with any vehicle 27 years old, flaws are expected. Although there are hardly any major flaws on this car. Now I understand that the new owner may be purchasing this 190 from several miles away, and a pre-purchase viewing will only be initiated if the car fits such criteria, which i will try my best to expose in the photos. ***Please note, vehicle was purchased with all damage previously done***1. 3 deep Scuff/Scratch; Lower left rear quarter panel and left rear corner of bumper.2. Spider-web scratches on roof from cheap drive-through car washes from previous owner3. Faint Clearcoat fading on driver side door arches above door handles4. Very small "Buff-burn" on left side of hood ridge, (smaller than half a penny.)5. Good sized key mark on rear passenger side door.6. 2 small dings on passenger side A-Pillar7. INTERIOR: 3 small cracks around speakers on dash8. "glue-filled" rock chip on driver side windshield Everything works on this entire vehicle just as it did the day it left Caliber Motors Anaheim hills in 1988. The ONLY reason I am selling is because I have finished restoring this 190E and am ready to pass her on to a new home who will garage and pamper her just as i do. PLEASE ONLY MAKE REASONABLE OFFERS. I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL THIS CAR, AND WILL NOT JUST LET HER GO FOR ANYTHING. Here is my personal cell phone number (714) 585-0547 feel free to contact me any time, if i do not answer please leave a message and i will call you back as soon as i can. Possible airport pickup can be arranged with prior notice. Car is only being listed on eBay and no other websites, therefore there is no one else the car will be being sold to, I reserve the right to end auction at anytime for any reason. BUYER IS 100% RESPONSIBLE TOWARDS TRANSPORTATION OF THE CAR, I HEREBY HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO HELP TRANSPORT OR MOVE CAR ONCE SOLD. VEHICLE IS BEING SO AS-IS, WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTY ADVERTISED NOR IMPLIED.
