One owner MB 190 SL. It was received as a college graduation present when new and has been recently released from dry storage. It received complete mechanical re-freshening, including: -replacement of all fluids hoses and lines where necessary -Rebuild of Carbs -Redone gas tank This is a complete and unmolested 190SL. Car has two tops. It appears that it had one repaint mid-way in its life. Runs and drives wonderfully. Milage is actual; it has not been rolled over. Enjoy it as it is or make the transition to a concourse restoration. We reserve the right to end the auction early or to disqualify buyers with weak or no feedback. All options including sunroof, power everything, cruise control and chilly AC. Displayed at local M-B lawn show- people can’t believe originality and condition. Shiny black with gray leather interior. Powered by 2.6 liter, six cylinder engine. Gets 24 mpg in city, more on highway. Everything works fine. Now has an upgraded radio and speakers with CD and MP3. This 190E was owned by an elderly doctor and his wife from Brookline, MA from new until I got it from the estate in 2009. The car had 37,000 miles at the time and had been garaged in Brookline for the summers and shipped to Florida for the winters. My daughter drove the car in great safety to and from college in Pennsylvania which accounts for most of the miles to its present 67,000 miles. Daughter now lives in downtown Boston and walks to work so the Mercedes needs a new, appreciative home. I have full service records from my ownership. Beside regular synthetic oil changes and maintenance, it has needed only an AC valve and charge, a ball joint, front brakes, thermostat, a door lock and ignition switch. Period. It has fairly new, Dunlop’s-best tires. No smoking, no children, no pets. Silent engine – no chatter. Drives as smooth as could be. A truly great classic Mercedes.
