Up for sale is a beautiful 1992 RED MERCEDES 190e with the larger and more powerful 2.6, six cylinder engine. The motor and transmission are VERY strong with less than 180,000 miles and driven less than 7,500 miles per year. This car is a daily driver and it is an absolute pleasure to drive. I am flexible on the price and I will consider all reasonable offers but I will not just give it away SO MAKE ME AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE!!! I recently purchased the car from the original owner 2 years ago. The car has been well taken care of with all service records present and it is very clean and 100% original, including the paint! The car has good brakes, suspension, tires, new battery and has recently been inspected. The A/C works and blows cold. The car drives beautifully, tracks true and straight, and is very comfortable and quiet! Current known issues are: the engine stalls at red lights and stop signs occasionally but very seldom, the rear driver side window will not roll all the way up, the drivers door lock does not work with the key, the cruise control does not work, the engine runs a little hot during the summer but the temperature does return to normal when the fan kicks on. There are minor imperfections in the interior and minor dings and paint wear, all imperfections are representative of a 25 year old car, including some fading on the exterior. The Kenwood radio works well and so does the power antenna but the radio will cut off sometimes unexpectedly, probably due to a loose wire. The sunroof works but one corner does not close flush with the roof, there are no leaks from the sunroof. The power seats work with the exception of the passenger side power head rest. The interior upholstery and headliner are in beautiful condition with some minor pulling away of the door panels. The issues that the car has are very minor and typical of these cars and are easy fixes. The car does not smoke but does leak a little bit of oil. This car can very easily be restored and can be driven and enjoyed while doing so. I have truly enjoyed owning this Mercedes and was going to restore it but I have decided to sell the vehicle. The car has never been in an accident and has very little to no rust (no visible rust on the body that can be seen, only your standard engine bay and underside rust that is very minimal). The car has been garage kept and is very presentable for being 25 years old! It is very hard to find a RED Mercedes with this very desirable color combination and in this condition! This car needs a little TLC from someone that loves Mercedes and a few minor and quick repairs. The repairs I would recommend would be to replace the engine gaskets simply due to its age, cruise control module, catalytic converter, a good tune up and the other minor issues mentioned above. This car can easily be brought back to near showroom condition with a paint respray. If you love Mercedes cars and you are looking for a great car to restore this is a great starting point for a beautiful restoration! These cars are about to start climbing in value as many of them are now hitting the 25 year mark! This car was over engineered and designed to travel 300,000 miles or more. This is the car that rescued Mercedes from near bankruptcy and is still an iconic and historically important vehicle today! Don't miss out on this rare and beautiful car! Transmission is in the trunk, it needs to be rebuilt. The tires are new, however the front passenger tire is flat. This is a great rare Mercedes! I would love to keep it and fix the transmission, however I can't right now. I would love to see this car have an owner who will fix the transmission and enjoy it! This is why I am selling it to a private person vs. to a wrecking yard! Also included is the Owner's Manual and both original keys. If you are the buyer of this car I will have it towed free of charge for you in Ventura County after payment clears and also have a AAA office do the transfer for us to avoid a DMV wait. 1990 Mercedes 190E White exterior with leather interior Two brand new tires put on 9/25/14 Two owner car just under 110,700 original miles Pretty clean interior with no rips of leather Smoke free car Power front seats Sun roof works (no leaks) Air and heat works great All windows work Radio works (not original radio) Uses gas, not diesel 16mpg city 22mpg highwayThere is a cup holder missing on the drivers door (I have a new one, just haven't installed it yet).There are some scratches to the paint (pictured on the hood and trunk) Great little car but my husband recently bought us a 60's Mustang so we need to sell a vehicle to make room in our garage. I live in the deep in the country so my Dad has the vehicle at his home to make it easier and more accessible to view. We purchased the vehicle in 2008 from a dealer who had it traded in from the original owner. There is a parasitic drain that slowly drains the battery if the car is not started at least every 3 to 4 days. If you start the car every day or every other day there is no issue at all. The ABS light comes on randomly Since we purchased the car in 2008 we have changed the alternator, battery and brakes. We have done oil and filter changes on a regular basis We live in zip code 62233 but I have the car 100 miles away at my parents house in zip code 63042. My parents live in a St. Louis suburb and I thought the car would get more views from their house. For pick up I can meet at my parents house or bring the car back to my house. Whatever works best for the purchaser.
