Original owner. Non-smoker. Purchased new from Mazda dealer showroom October 1984 in St. Louis, MO. Never involved in any kind of accident. During later life span vehicle has rusted around left rear tire rim (see photo) and running boards. Small dent on rear bumper (see photo). Windshield has corner crack. Suspect that it may need a fuel pump so vehicle will not start/run. Otherwise the motor, original exterior paint and original interior are in excellent condition.

I have the car if you have the motor. I haven't been able to find a decent 12a motor that I would like to drop into this attractive chassis. Colorado strict emission laws make it difficult to successfully and economically substitute engines in a car unless the car is pre-1975. I removed the motor which basically needs new Apex seals, rotors and housing. The engine is with the mechanic at this time and is available for shipping charges only when purchasing the car. The car was painted metallic dark gray a few short years ago, has 17" American Racing wheels, good tires, very nice interior other than dash which has several cracks, (I believe everything works, but car needs a new battery), black louvers, new exhaust system with shorty pace headers, Magnaflow catalytic converter and aftermarket muffler. The pictures tell the story. You will definitely get compliments on the car wherever you go, even if it's on the back of a tow truck with the motor missing. The car is not perfect, but isn't too far off.

The 2nd owner of this car is pleased to sell this 1985 RX7-GS. The early Japanese sports cars are becoming more collectible and it is very rare to have a car be available for purchase with very low original miles . This car has not been modified and is in original factory condition. It is presented with original factory paint, clean stock interiors, and a 5 speed manual transmission for your driving fun. This car is a fun, sporty car that has been in a covered garage it's whole life. It has 26,200 original miles with only 10,000 miles put on since 1982. New tires, battery, hoses and belts as of January 2015. Everything else is original from the manufacturer when new, including paint, gages and instruments, upholstery, carpet, seats. Seats have covers included, as seen in picture. Included with the car is a cloth car cover specifically made for the RX7 and front bra also made specific to this car. Being sold "as is" and buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping.

Excellent condition ...low original miles ...Dual Wankel Rotary Engine...Aluminum Wheels.... garaged all it's life... it has been professionally repainted from front bumper to rear bumper from pin striping up... (4) brand new tires... this season the starter has been rebuilt and it got all new belts and plugs... has matching hard top in the original vinyl cover in the hatchback... aftermarket CD changer in the glove box...

Super nice surviving specimen of a 1st gen RX Both metal and glass roofs. Aftermarket stereo and racing type seats. Newer tires with plenty of life left. Needs a little attention but gets plenty!!!Look at the pics. There is some rust on the bottom edges of the doors and wheel wells. Im pricing this to sell, Not to kill anyones savings like some other sellers on ebay. check out the other 1st gens offered for sale and compare the prices and condition. WILL NOT LIST AGAIN> This car is in excellent condition and being sold for a average NADA price. I could take off targa,louver, and spoiler sell for $800-$1000 and still get this price for the car. This is a deal and if you know cars you know it is. Garage kept..90 K miles..There is no rust anywhere on this car, it's as clean underneath as it is on top. I bought the car for my wife she drove it twice and doesn't like how low it is. So now I'm looking for another toy for myself instead. Car drives flawlessly. Hard to find Factory -- Targa Band, Louvers and 3pc. SpoilerCar was painted is 8 out of 10 did not paint door jams otherwise a descent job. Interior is 9 out of 10. Car was in a local repair shop that has a former rotary tech from Mazda working. I have receipts for 3200 in total repairs. Every brake part is new (hoses, calipers, seals, pads, master, rotors, and drums) all rubber fuel lines have been replaced. All suspension is new (shocks, struts, mounts, bushings, sway bar bushings, end links, and springs) 4 brand new tires, muffler and axle back, carb rebuild, radiator, headlight motors, new manifold gaskets on "thermal reactor". Also has new oem tie rods and link. Compression was tested and was 90# across the board. Tune up was done, both trailing and leading coils were replaced as well. Borescope shows no abnormal wear on rotor housings.I run Pettit racing protek r in the fuel. The rear axle was pulled, new bearings, seals, and shims installed. Also have full RX7 Factory repair manuals!!! As is no warranty on returns. Cashiers check or certified bank check only.
