It has been babied in Dad's heated garage for its lifetime. After Dad passed, we had the car evaluated at the local Mazda Dealership and was told it was in excellent condition. As Indiana weather is fickle, we can tell you within a week that the A/C blows VERY cold and the heater blows very hot! This car has a rear glass window with defroster that works quickly. I have about 600 items listed including a Corvette so check my other listings. This is a RARE find this 1979 Mazda RX7 was built the very first month of production 3 / 78 I have a picture of the build date on the door opening. Also early 1979s did not have passenger mirror as this one doesn't either. These are rare in any condition and this is the only one on ebay but this being original paint from the first month is a real find. This car runs great it has less than 40000 miles on it. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere it always starts right up and has never given me an issue and yes the headlights do pop up and work fine. The VIN is SA22C502*** making this one of the first 2400 RX7s made. It has the original factory 4 barrel and this one came with the optional 5 speed making it even more desirable and the fact nobody has molested this car you can do what you want, leave as is, restore it, or hot rod it. You aren't going to have another chance to buy one this early. There is a battery maintenance control which was added because this car was garaged but easily removed and nothing was drilled so no disturbing the original engine. The heater works fine the AC may or may not work the blower blows hard but never ran it long enough to test it out and see if it gets cold. I always like the windows down and the top out. This has normal scratches and some body dings but no rust. There are some dash cracks and one tiny hole in passenger door panel. As you can see from the pics the rest of the interior is nice and the dash and panel can be replaced if you want to fix it. I want cash not a trade for project you are tired of or a check or money order I want cash and you drive away with title in hand. This is a great RX7 it is probably the nicest 1979 around unrestored and it is the only one on ebay. This is only the second year they made the RX7 so this will be a solid investment for years to come. The title is clear and ready to go. It has just under 40000 miles on it and was well taken care of and it starts up, drives and stops just fine. Please feel free to come by and check it out take it for a test drive I have nothing to hide and want you to see it up close before you buy it. There is no rust it was only driven in warm weather. It is not perfect or restored it has dings and scratches you would expect on a car from 1979. I bought the car for my wife she drove it twice and doesn't like how low it is. So now I'm looking for another toy for myself instead. Car drives flawlessly. Hard to find Factory -- Targa Band, Louvers and 3pc. SpoilerCar was painted is 8 out of 10 did not paint door jams otherwise a descent job. Interior is 9 out of 10. Car was in a local repair shop that has a former rotary tech from Mazda working. I have receipts for 3200 in total repairs. Every brake part is new (hoses, calipers, seals, pads, master, rotors, and drums) all rubber fuel lines have been replaced. All suspension is new (shocks, struts, mounts, bushings, sway bar bushings, end links, and springs) 4 brand new tires, muffler and axle back, carb rebuild, radiator, headlight motors, new manifold gaskets on "thermal reactor". Also has new oem tie rods and link. Compression was tested and was 90# across the board. Tune up was done, both trailing and leading coils were replaced as well. Borescope shows no abnormal wear on rotor housings.I run Pettit racing protek r in the fuel. The rear axle was pulled, new bearings, seals, and shims installed. Also have full RX7 Factory repair manuals!!! As is no warranty on returns. Cashiers check or certified bank check only. You are bidding on my 1993 Mazda RX7 FD. The car is a absolute blast to drive. Mechanically the car is excellent. Trans shifts excellent. Motor is tight with no issues. Interior is clean. Couple small little things but very clean. Exterior has zero rust but does need some work. Paint is original and faded and needs paint. Has some small dings but nothing that stands out. No rust. Ive never had it to the track but Ive roll raced plenty of bikes, cars etc. I have a buddy with a fully built EVO that runs 9.60s at 146 mph and I pull him pretty hard to say the least. Im willing to bet my car would trap around 155-158 mph. I also raced a busa that I pulled hard too. I own multiple fast cars including a outlaw drag radial mustang that runs 188 mph to the 1/8 mile so I have a very good understand of what a truly "fast" car is. Gets around 20 mpgs even on e85. Can crusie at 80 mph around 2000 rpm. All gauges work except speedo.
