The Car is 1987. Ebay does not recognize vin. I had to put it as 1980.Hello, Imagine if you wanted a Jeep in 1953 CJ3B Willys and you never had a chance, here it is build by Japanese to their standards and tolerances of the day 34 years later, and wait for this, with a Turbo Diesel motor! Comparing Original Willys to this would be like eating raw meat vs nicely cooked stake. You are looking on a very clean Mitsubishi Jeep J53 Turbo Diesel. I have been hunting this Jeep for a while i would ay several months to find a CLEAN, ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED NO RUST example. The condition of the jeep is very good for the year and considering that these trucks were never meant to become rare collectibles. Almost all of them were treated purposely, as a 4x4 truck to get around in a off road terrain.The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once you drive it, that is when you completely fall in love with it. The simplicity of this jeep is what attracts to it. 2.7 Turbo Diesel motor motor cranks instantly with a half a turn and feels strong. On top of that this Jeep gets 35+ MPG and is an absolute blast to drive.Once it is going it feels stiff as new. Steering and suspension has no play whatsoever. Drive train has absolutely no play and is as tight as new. Transmission shifts superb and 4 drum brakes in the front and rear will lock up all for tires if you are not careful.Paint does show some wear but for the original condition it is absolutely normal wear for being almost 30 years old 4x4 with a rag top. In fact the rag top (full top cover with doors) is in good condition and is included with the sale.This truck has only 43k miles of a verified provable mileage from new and it shows that it was in good hands.Interior is in very good condition and does not make squeaks or rattles when going down the road. There are no leaks or rust whatsoever and This vehicle received fresh maintenance including oil / antifreeze and a new air filter.Air conditioning is ice cold.Serious buyers only!!! The engine was highly detailed and has all original parts with only 5779 miles. The interior is stunning as well and the floors were sprayed with rhino liner to protect this jeep forever. It also gives it that rugged look and also the frame was done as well. This jeep has never had Rust. It was a New Mexico Jeep since new and was in a barn for over 30 years . This jeep is very detailed with every nut and bolt being new and it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Mechanically she is awesome. It starts right up and runs so smooth , The 4 wheel drive engages very easily and is fully automatic. It has a 3 speed Transmission that shifts very smooth. The previous owner did a lot of service after the Paint was done. He replaced all the shocks with original equipment. New front and rear drums the brake pads are still original showing its state of low miles. Also the muffler is Original which you cant buy a Original one today. The brake lines are new as are the seals in the wheels and wheel bearings. He spent over 50 k restoring this jeep to its current state and yet maintaining its Original state. The Jeep has soft doors that were never put on. The soft top is still in plastic and brand new as is the frame where it goes onto. The wheels were up graded and sit on brand new tires. I do have the Original wheels coming and will go along with the jeep. So if your a collector and your looking for the finest example of a CJ 5 on the planet then this is the one to own. 72 jeep cj 5, it has been lengthened 14.5", it has a sbc 350 4bolt, refreshed the bottom end with new rod and main bearings and timing set about 3 years ago when i built the jeep. engine runs great and is very responsive, smokes some on the right bank. sm465 transmission with hydraulic clutch, np203 transfer case with new chain and part time kit. also have an extra np205 to go with it. it has a custom shortened ford 9" rear with lock right locker 4.10 gear ratio, also comes with spare axle shaft. front axle is a Dana 44 with flat top knuckles from a jeep wagoneer, 4.10 gears with all new parts including carrier, hubs and spindles have been converted to the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern. flow master 40 series mufflers, custom made front and rear bumpers with receiver hitches on both, full roll cage, 8000lbs full h2o winch, edlebrock intake, and carb. has 15" black rims with 36x13.5x15 irocks with 90% tread. jeep could use floors redone, aluminum radiator has a hole in it and needs a flex fan. is street legal and has clear title $5400 obo
