I had to put it as 1980.Hello, Imagine if you wanted a Jeep in 1953 CJ3B Willys and you never had a chance, here it is build by Japanese to their standards and tolerances of the day 34 years later, and wait for this, with a Turbo Diesel motor! Comparing Original Willys to this would be like eating raw meat vs nicely cooked stake. You are looking on a very clean Mitsubishi Jeep J53 Turbo Diesel. I have been hunting this Jeep for a while i would ay several months to find a CLEAN, ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED NO RUST example. The condition of the jeep is very good for the year and considering that these trucks were never meant to become rare collectibles. Almost all of them were treated purposely, as a 4x4 truck to get around in a off road terrain.The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once you drive it, that is when you completely fall in love with it. The simplicity of this jeep is what attracts to it. 2.7 Turbo Diesel motor motor cranks instantly with a half a turn and feels strong. On top of that this Jeep gets 35+ MPG and is an absolute blast to drive.Once it is going it feels stiff as new. Steering and suspension has no play whatsoever. Drive train has absolutely no play and is as tight as new. Transmission shifts superb and 4 drum brakes in the front and rear will lock up all for tires if you are not careful.Paint does show some wear but for the original condition it is absolutely normal wear for being almost 30 years old 4x4 with a rag top. In fact the rag top (full top cover with doors) is in good condition and is included with the sale.This truck has only 43k miles of a verified provable mileage from new and it shows that it was in good hands.Interior is in very good condition and does not make squeaks or rattles when going down the road. Up for sale is our nearly all original 1967 Kaiser Jeep CJ-5. This Jeep had one owner before me, and has been cared for and enjoyed during it's life so far. However, we are ready to let it go to a new home. You really need to see it in person to fully appreciate just how awesome this Jeep truly is. It has been garage kept, with no major body rust only superficial in a few spots. It drives and runs good, and really makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. The previous owner kept a detailed maintenance log and I've done the same over the past year or so while I've owned it. It could use new leaf springs and shocks, but doesn't have to have them. I haven't driven it much over the past couple month but just put in a new optima battery. I've had the water pump, fuel pump, and a few gas lines replaced in addition to a good tune up. You'll get looks and conversations everywhere you go. The electrical (PAINLESS Wiring Harness) has been completely re-ran by TORC Motorsports in Omaha, Nebraska so all the lights work and work correctly. All the cabling has been run inside the tub for protection. New LED tail lights and LED reverse lights. Brand new front bumper (DIRTWORX) that has been primed and coated. New reverse shackle kit front and rear which makes for a safer ride on the streets. Brand new bikini top. I have soft doors that work, but the skins are older, as well as the full soft top frame and top. It will need a new soft top if you plan on using it during the winter. The tub has been rubber coated, as well as the undercarriage. Complete steering system replacement, including gear box and hoses, also completed by Toby at TORC Motorsports. Straight 6 (258) runs great. I have brand new low back original style seats to install, just haven't done it. Also have, in the box, fender flares that I never put on. I liked the look how it is. No rust on the body that I can see on the steel tub. Paint was done in the last 5 years and motor was gone through by the previous owner. Using almost as a daily driver for my 15 mile one way commute. Very fun to drive and many original features that make this Willy's Jeep unique. Original floor mats, original seat belts, original seats (upgraded option from the Tuxedo line), original wipers (most Jeeps were replaced with aftermarket motors), and I even have the original cardboard glove box (but it was replaced with a plastic box). The tub floor boards have been patched over the years. The CJ-5 tool box floor was patched and holds tools. Includes newer complete BestTop with doors and panels-all in great condition. This is a great fun Jeep to drive with the rock solid original Willy's Hurricane engine and strong consistent oil pressure. 4x4 works too. Frame has no patchwork like you'll find on older Jeeps. Paint job and tub patchwork is not perfect. Some gauges do not work. This is not a showroom car, there are cosmetic flaws. Otherwise a decent and fun little Jeep - I get a lot of compliments and interest. Including extras such as a manual, parts, and a Jerry can that was going to be mounted on the side.

This jeep has went through a No expense spared Restoration that has made it better then when new. The paint is stunning and show quality throughout. The engine was highly detailed and has all original parts with only 5779 miles. The interior is stunning as well and the floors were sprayed with rhino liner to protect this jeep forever. It also gives it that rugged look and also the frame was done as well. This jeep has never had Rust. It was a New Mexico Jeep since new and was in a barn for over 30 years . This jeep is very detailed with every nut and bolt being new and it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Mechanically she is awesome. It starts right up and runs so smooth , The 4 wheel drive engages very easily and is fully automatic. It has a 3 speed Transmission that shifts very smooth. The previous owner did a lot of service after the Paint was done. He replaced all the shocks with original equipment. New front and rear drums the brake pads are still original showing its state of low miles. Also the muffler is Original which you cant buy a Original one today. The Jeep has soft doors that were never put on. The soft top is still in plastic and brand new as is the frame where it goes onto. The wheels were up graded and sit on brand new tires. I do have the Original wheels coming and will go along with the jeep. So if your a collector and your looking for the finest example of a CJ 5 on the planet then this is the one to own.
