The Car is 1987. Ebay does not recognize vin. I had to put it as 1980.Hello, Imagine if you wanted a Jeep in 1953 CJ3B Willys and you never had a chance, here it is build by Japanese to their standards and tolerances of the day 34 years later, and wait for this, with a Turbo Diesel motor! Comparing Original Willys to this would be like eating raw meat vs nicely cooked stake. You are looking on a very clean Mitsubishi Jeep J53 Turbo Diesel. I have been hunting this Jeep for a while i would ay several months to find a CLEAN, ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED NO RUST example. The condition of the jeep is very good for the year and considering that these trucks were never meant to become rare collectibles. Almost all of them were treated purposely, as a 4x4 truck to get around in a off road terrain.The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once you drive it, that is when you completely fall in love with it. The simplicity of this jeep is what attracts to it. 2.7 Turbo Diesel motor motor cranks instantly with a half a turn and feels strong. On top of that this Jeep gets 35+ MPG and is an absolute blast to drive.Once it is going it feels stiff as new. Steering and suspension has no play whatsoever. Drive train has absolutely no play and is as tight as new. Transmission shifts superb and 4 drum brakes in the front and rear will lock up all for tires if you are not careful.Paint does show some wear but for the original condition it is absolutely normal wear for being almost 30 years old 4x4 with a rag top. In fact the rag top (full top cover with doors) is in good condition and is included with the sale.This truck has only 43k miles of a verified provable mileage from new and it shows that it was in good hands.Interior is in very good condition and does not make squeaks or rattles when going down the road. There are no leaks or rust whatsoever and This vehicle received fresh maintenance including oil / antifreeze and a new air filter.Air conditioning is ice cold.Serious buyers only!!! The interior of Jeeps are pretty simple and this one is no different. You have the gauges that you need to see and not much more. As you will see in the pics you have custom seats with 5 point harnesses that will keep you strapped in nice and tight when you get out in the back trails. This Jeep is simple, but it is SOOOOO much fun. Now, under the hood is where the fun really begins. The original 4.0 Inline 6 Cylinder is long gone, and it has been replaced with a 283 Chevy V8 and an automatic transmission. You hit the key and fire this baby up and a huge smile is going to stretch across your face and just get ready to roll. Slap that automatic transmission in to drive and get ready to roll those 35 x 12.50 Dunlop tires everywhere you want to take this Jeep. Underneath this cool ride are Dana 44's that are filled with 4.10 gears. As you look at the pics you are going to see that the frame and underneath of this Jeep you will see that it is rust free and solid as a rock. We just can not say enough how much fun you can have driving the Jeep whether it is on your daily commute or off road getting muddy.
