But this 1967 Jeep Gladiator J2000 is not one of those trailer queen hot rods in disguise. Jeep is the original American 4x4, and this truck represents a full-size pickup with a go-anywhere attitude. The appearance of the Gladiator is quite an attractive one. It has an unmistakable Jeep lineage with its resemblance to the related Waggoneers, but this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows, even if they've never seen one before. This Gladiator is particularly nice with its two-tone Ivy Green Metallic and silver paint. This short wheelbase J2000 model has an imposing blocky stance, and its creased sheetmetal even translates nicely on the stylieside truck bed (a rare option that was eliminated after 1967.) In fact, if you got this stepside from Ford or Chevy during this time, the bed floor made of wood. Instead, this ready-to-work, military-grade Jeep has strong steel reinforcing it. The interior feels quite nice thanks to the tan bench seat, door panels, insulation, and carpeting all being refreshed over this pickup's lifetime. It gives this Jeep a bright and isolated feeling that's nice in a vintage truck. There's even an air conditioning system running modern R-134a to keep you comfortable. But don't mistake these features for coddling. This Gladiator's get-it-done attitude still shines through with its full set of auxiliary gauges, including large tachometer to monitor the four-speed manual transmission. Despite Kaiser owning Jeep during this time, they were already foreshadowing AMC ownership with the optional 327 cubic-inch Vigilante V8. This lone-wolf name seemed to suit the motor quite well as it has enough torque to get itself into or out of nearly any situation. The standard 4x4 system is the backbone of Jeep's reputation, and why these trucks were the choice for government duty. It includes a Dana 20 transfer case and Dana 44 front and rear axles from the factory. This means bulletproof performance that is still easy to service today. This also features the original-style steel wheel with original Jeep hubcaps and even Warn locking hubs in the front Here's the classic Jeep that's rare and traditional all in the same affordable package. This one feels original right down to its included owner's manual, which is why we know someone will snatch it up soon. Reluctantly I am putting my Military Jeep up for sale.. There were only 33,000 of these made and they were used first in The Vietnam War. Not many survived, and not many stayed here in the states. Most of the one's you will find are rusted, and in bad shape. This particular one has been restored and is in amazing condition. The body is original and has zero rust. IT RUNS PERFECTLY. The interior is near mint. It has a brand new Matte Black paint job also. HARD TOP CONVERTIBLE!!!! This Fiberglass top can be unbolted and removed so you can drive it topless!!! The mileage is original! It turns heads everywhere you go, and can make it through any 4 wheeling experience. If your looking for a super fun, heavy duty, impressive looking truck, here it is.
