It has always been a third or fourth car and was rarely driven. It has never spent a night outdoors and has lived its entire life in Southern California. Even when driven to my office, it was always garaged and has spent very little time out in the sun, which accounts for the spectacular red paint, gorgeous gray leather and flawless wood trim. This car has been garaged for the last 15 years, bought from an elderly gentleman that just ran out of interest. He had most of the modifications done professionally. All parts are very clearly in like new condition and the engine runs like it as well. It's hard to find a part on this car that isn't new or modified. This is definitely a project car however I have been daily driving it for the last 3 months. Had a hot-rod shop checked, the car is estimated at approx. 465HP with its current condition. Was originally being built to be a track car and is currently modified as such, can easily add some creature comforts and make it tamer with a steel flywheel and a different tune. Fully programmable handheld tuner with LCD screen is included. Very simple to adjust engine parameters on. Current things that need attention are, the rear tires occasionally rub on the fenders on a bump, not severe, can simply raise the coilovers, wrench is included. Like mentioned before it is very track oriented and is a challenge to drive but not impossible and very fun. The brakes need to be bled/vacuum pump needs to be hooked up. This car is converted from manual brakes to power brakes, the cam in the engine does not produce much vacuum (from what a local hot rod shop has told me) and so the brakes feel squishy and don't work their best all the time. A brand new summit racing vacuum pump is included and just needs to be hooked up to the brake booster. Passenger door handle is sticky and may need a new door lock rod. Air fuel ratio gauge is currently not hooked up, the O2 sensor is being used for the tuner which also shows Air/fuel ratio if you choose to use that screen. Speedometer needs a different sensor that works with this transmission, works but is not very accurate. The entire body including interior was sand blasted and re-done. Extremely rust free. Paint is new, body is flawless minus the hood. The hood is in primer, it is an aftermarket fiberglass cowl hood that did not get painted at the same time as the rest of the car. Interior was bedlined and has 3 layers of dynamat from the firewall back to the rear seat section. Will try to get a carpet kit that will be included regardless into the car before it sells. The car has a roll cage with stiffening bars welded up to the firewall. This car is extremely clean needs minor finishing to be a top notch car that can be show quality. Below are all of the modifications that come to mind, granted some will be missing because this car just has too many things to list. Car runs great and there are less than 2,000 miles on everything. The early history is unknown, but it was purchased by TLC 4X4 in 2000 and then sold to a local customer along with a brand new Toyota 14B diesel engine, 5-speed transmission and the ancillary bits necessary for installation of the replacement drivetrain. The specialists at TLC also consulted throughout the installation and sorting process. The 14B is a 3.7L inline four-cylinder eight valve direct injection diesel engine that powered the Toyota Bandeirante (Brazilian Land Cruiser) from 1994 until the cease of production in 2001. In addition to the drivetrain, other improvements from stock include Old Man Emu suspension and power steering stabilizer, 16 inch steel wheels, ARB locking rear differential and onboard air compressor, Warn winch and Sony Stereo CD Player and speakers. During the restoration, the body was repainted the original color, Dune Beige, and the seats were covered in grey vinyl. The interior floors were sanded and sprayed with a very light layer of black coating and then covered with new floor mats. The undercarriage is unrestored and solid. It doesn't hide any rust under black rattle can paint or heavy coatings. Since being restored, this FJ has been driven just over 20,000 trouble free miles. Most recently it was fitted with new 235/85R16 BF Goodrich KO2 tires, the brake system was gone through, the suspension aligned and the ARB compressor replaced. You've stumbled upon a rare find as these were the last years of the OG body style. You are viewing a 2001 Saab 9-3 SE turbo T7 VERT with 88k original, second owner miles, clean Carfax and clean CA title in hand. The tires, brakes, suspension, tonneau cover (top), interior leather and carpets excellent condition, Saab floor mats. The alignment is perfect. It's only seen premium fuel since birth. No leaks or strange sounds, no dash lights on. Excellent factory Saab alarm system. 21/28 MPG with a cost price new of $44,000 with all options. It's a very well built car, safety was always a high concern with Saab as there reputation was built on aviation. Smog certified, registration is good until Sept this year. This is a classy little car and is set up to be worry free for another 100k miles with just oil changes Regardless what car you buy, 90k miles is a turning point for a car, most people don't take the care they need so be weary of other vehicles you view in your search for a CONVERTIBLE!.
