The 2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 remains the highest-performance street version of the Mustang. It's powered by a 550-hp, 5.4L supercharged V8, with a 6-speed manual gearbox, 4-wheel vented disc brakes with Brembo front calipers, a stainless-steel exhaust, and other upgrades and comes with most of the same interior features as Premium models. Ford has tested it to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. In the Boss 302, the GT's engine has been given revised camshafts, boosting power to 440 hp. It also has a special intake system and new quad exhausts to reduce backpressure. To help handle the power and the demands of the track, the Boss 302 gets a stronger clutch for its short-throw, close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox and the Boss 302 gets a 3.73 performance rear axle and limited-slip rear differential. To aid handling, the Boss 302 gets adjustable shocks, stiffer anti-roll bars and stiffer springs. Unique traction and stability controls and special 19-inch black-painted lightweight alloy racing wheels and Pirelli PZero summer performance tires round out the package and eleven pounds of sound insulation are removed, compared to other Mustang models. Additionally, a Torsen limited-slip rear differential and Recaro sport seats are offered together in an option package.A Laguna Seca package for the Boss 302 brings an even more serious package, deleting the back seat entirely and adding Recaro cloth sport seats, brake cooling ducts, a front air splitter, the Torsen limited-slip differential, a gauge package and further changes to springs, wheels and tires. The rest of the Mustang lineup returns with either a 305-hp, 3.7L V6 or a 412-hp, 5.0L V8. V6 and GT models can both be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Across the entire Mustang lineup for 2011, steering effort is now driver-selectable; with comfort, normal and sport modes, the electric power steering system. A host of trim and appearance options, such as special wheels and paint striping, can give the Mustang an individual appearance. Other standalone options on the Mustang include HID headlamps, and a large glass roof that brings some of the advantages of the Convertible with all-season weather-tightness.

Selling my chariot - I had every intention of keeping this to give to my future generations when they drive. It's that durable of a vehicle. I'm headed out of the country soon so consequently it must go - I'd rather someone use it well than have it sit. The car has 415, 000 miles on it and I would not hesitate to drive it to New York back to California and up to Alaska. This vehicle is from a different Mercedes era - higher engineering budgets and standards and no Chrysler merger. That said this vehicle IS more reliable than newer counterparts - it has no computers to impeded running and engineering was more stringent than today. This 1995 W124 chassis is the last year of the run - so all the improvements from a decade run were incorporated. The W211 quality is not a SOLID as this. This is a high mileage car that has been well maintained - engine has been rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, new radiator, new front lower control arms, new rotors and pads and much more. New Light stator switch. The suspension is also lowered on H&R springs, which was AMG spec of the day. Rolling on Brabus MonoBlock Evo V rims - There is also a spare Monoblock Rim. That's a full set including the spare. These wheels alone are getting hard to come by and go for a pretty penny. The car is currently running on 4 brand new tires. Also motor mounts replaced and yes that quarter is standing while the engine is idling. The roof does have a sun spot (I was planning on putting a flush mount solar panel on the roof) and there's a ping pong sized hole in the driver seat. This is an OM606 Mercedes Benz - or Oil Motor #606. An extremely very reliable engine that requires no electronics to run. (Mercedes last purely mechanical diesel engine) These were also used in German military light troop carrier vehicles. I'm very familiar with both generations of the US HMMWV diesel motors, have driven and worked on them extensively and I can tell you without hesitation the OM606 is much more reliable and efficient. I've traveled the Middle East and parts of the African continent in this same chassis and can say I've heard stories that would be unbelievable had I not seen the cars, driven in them and heard from the drivers mouth what they'd gone through, got them home and kept purring to life. I have seen more than a few with over 700,000 miles The long term plan was to drop a Mercedes 6 speed into this car more for efficiency than speed - the odometer reading is from one tank of fuel (see pic). If you desired this block can be reliably turboed to 300hp - or the turbo block which drops right in can hit 500hp quite reliably with a bigger holsett and more fuel. Also the R129 brakes or E400 brakes will fit this chassis with little to no mods. *The Lien and accidents reported on the carfax are from the previous owner. The car is a clean title - no issues.
