You can raise your testosterone level just from driving this truck! This is a beast. 1953 Chevrolet 5 window "Deluxe Cab" 3100 Pickup that has been professionally mounted to a 1979 Chevrolet 4x4 short wheelbase chassis. The differentials are 8 lug Dana axles from a Chevy K20 truck. This truck has a 350 Chevrolet small block engine (1970`s vintage) that seems to be basically stock with a Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, HEI ignition and tube headers. The transmission is a Chevy Turbo 350 Automatic mated to a New Process Transfer Case. The four wheel drive works fine and has Spicer "blue" lock-out front hubs. This truck also has power steering and power brakes (front disc / rear drum). The steering column is a Chevy tilt column. The truck has been converted to a 12 volt system and has a GM alternator. The headlights / taillights do work but this truck is not currently registered or inspected. The odometer reads 50,896 but I have no idea of the actual mileage on the body or drivetrain. The wheels are 16.5 solid rim with 37" Military tires. The tires have plenty of tread but a couple tires have small weather cracks. The body is not beat up but does have a couple small bruises. The rear fenders are the only real problem. They have some cracks are small dents. The only real rust issue is the right/front kick panel area (inside cab) and right/front floor. There is a good sized hole that you can see daylight through. Can be repaired easily if you wanted or just drive as-is. The glass is all good except both door glasses have 1 small crack each. I would consider this a running/driving project truck. It could easily be a daily driver with a little TLC. The engine is fine, no leaks, doesn`t overheat. The carburetor could use some tuning or maybe needs a kit. The transmission shifts fine and the brakes stop fine. I drove this down to the corner store yesterday during a rain downpour and it was fine except the wipers don`t work and the windows fogged up, but still got thumbs up from the guys and compliments from the ladies. Overall this is a great truck but still needs a few things buttoned up before making this your daily transportation. I have a clear, open New Mexico title in hand, listed as a 1953 Chevrolet Pickup. The VIN on title matches the VIN on truck. I am located in Pottsboro, Texas (1 hour north of Dallas). I invite you to come inspect the truck in person or send me any questions through Ebay or better yet - I`ll gladly discuss it over the phone. Call or text me at 940-632-9454. I would be happy to send you additional photos but you need to call me first before asking for more pics, that way I know you`re serious. I can deliver the truck to you - for an additional fee. I charge $100 per hour for delivery. If Google says you`re 3.5 hours away, then that will cost you $350 for example. I also have friends in the auto transport business, call me and I`ll give you their contact info. Feel free to ask questions. I need $5999 for the truck and no, I do not want any trades but thanks. If you decide to buy this, I`ll need a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours. I will expect the remaining balance to be paid within 5 business days. I accept: Cash in person, Certified Bank Check or a Bank Wire. The title will be provided upon receiving full payment. If you need to leave the truck with me until pick up can be made, I can hold it for a few days in a gated, secure area. However I cannot be responsible for any damage, theft or acts of God that might occur. Please feel free to ask any questions. I appreciate you looking at my listing. Call / Text 940-632-9454

1949 Chevy 3100 Deluxe Cab (5 Window): The 3100 was a truck produced by Chevrolet from 1946 through 1959 and retains an iconic 50's styling that can't be replicated. While the five bar grille remained unchanged for the 1949 model year, other features such as appearance and finish had changed. Inner bar assemblies were changed to a Waldorf White finish. Trucks that featured a rear corner window, a different rear roof panel section were used. The windshield still came in two-pieces with a black rubber seal and stainless steel divider bar. The interior featured wide seats, large windshield, side and rear windows. The instrument panel displayed fuel gauge and ammeter, pressure heat indicator and an oil pressure gauge. As the owner of a classic car dealership, I get to see all flavors of unbelievable classic vehicles. Yet the ones that I love, love, love the most are Chevy trucks! Maybe it was receiveing a classic C10 as my 1st car at 16 or maybe it is just the lines of these beauties that can't be beat. Needless to say, I'd personally keep all the examples as nice as this 1949 but, ... that would be bad business. What makes this 3100 even harder to let go is the history. Like myself, this classic Chevy started it's life right here in Houston, TX. This amazing truck was purchased new in early November of 1949 at Knapp Chevrolet in downtown Houston. Original title, payment reciepts, Owner Service Policy, and Delco Battery Warranty documentation from this original sale accompany this purchase. This truck was the original owner's pride and joy and was maintained for 40 years until his passing in 1989. This truck was then purchased from his family by a collector just noth of Houston. This second owner performed a ground-up restoration on the truck in 2003-2004 and later sold it to a local friend, the 3rd owner, in 2012. The most recent owner has decided to reduce his collection of classics and therefore this exceptional 3100 is being offered to the general public for the first time in 65 years! The aim of the restoration was to keep the Chevy original and with exception of highway gears and dual exhaust this truck remains very close to how it was when it rolled off the assembly line. The 2,800 mile odometer reading represents the miles since the restoration was completed. You will see in the photos and we'll very honestly disclose that this Chevy is not a trailer queen. But, if you are looking for an outstanding example that retains originality, has great history, and drives great .... this is your truck! The interior is flawless with a perfect and uncut dash, a working original radio, new Saddle seat covers, door panels, and headliner. The Monaco Blue paint shows very nicely, the wood bed is excellent, and the undercarriage is clean. This 3100 needs nothing and we wouldn't hesitate to jump in it and drive it anywhere. It starts easily, shifts smoothly, stops like it should, and does great at highway speeds. Features and options include; Thriftmaster 235 Inline 6 Cyl, 3 Speed Transmission, Chrome Bumpers & Mirrors, Visor, Wink Lights, Wheel Skirts, Factory AM/FM Radio, 16" Factory Wheels and thick BF Goodrich Silvertown White Wall Tires! Please review the current guide values for this Deluxe Cab and you will see that you need to move on this purchase quickly! Current CPI Black Book shows a value of $61,175 in #2 condition, KBB places a value of $53,970, and NADA comes in at the lowest at $42,600.
