Thank you for viewing our listing! We are offering for sale this beautiful 56 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. The truck has been fully restored and is in fully operable condition. The original 235 straight six runs like a top and provides plenty of powerto easily run 60 down the highway. The manual 4 speed transmission shifts exactly as it should. The clutch and brakes operate exactly as they should as well. All the running gear and drive train is original to the truck, and is in excellent condition. Even the original steering box only allows only an "hour" of play, if you imagine the steering wheel to be the face of a clock. We recently added a chrome tilt steering column to the truck, and completely rewired the entire truck with a fused wiring harness. All signals and lights work correctly. The seats have been updated to black and grey cloth upholstered captain style seats. They are very comfortable and in excellent condition. The chrome rims are brand new and the tires are deep in rubber all the way around. The wood bed is natural oil finish, and the sides ofthe box are lined with a smooth satin black durable industrial coating, not simply painted. The tailgate has hidden latches and the chainshave been deleted so they don't beat up the paint. The front bumper is brand new chrome, and the rear bumper was custom builtand doubles as a compressed air tank. A heavy duty trailer hitch receiver is mounted beneath the bumper, complete with a six prong trailer light plug. The restoration is several years old, but has held up extremely well. The steps into the cab show a bit of paint wear, and there is a small paint chip above the right headlight that has been retouched. This is a gorgeous truck that you would not feel badabout enjoying on the road. NOTE! eBay allows 24 pictures. I have many more including from underneath up on a lift. Selling my 1952 Chevrolet 3/4 ton truck. Rust free. These 3/4 tons are becoming very rare. Most were used as farm trucks and very few have survived this long. It has a 125 1/4 inch long wheelbase and 87 inch long bed. The engine is a 250 inline 6 and the truck has a granny 4 speed transmission. The engine was probably installed in the 1960s. These 250s have much more power than the original engine. This one fires up every time and runs great. I purchased the truck in 2010 from a man in Arkansas. He had purchased the truck from a farm in Michigan in 2006. The truck was in rough condition when he purchased it. It was being used to haul round bales of hay in the truck bed. He brought it back to Arkansas and spent 3 years restoring it in his garage. He put on a new bed, new paint job, and a new seat. This is not a perfect show truck but it is fun to drive. No dents. Has a few scratches here and there from my kids climbing in and out. The brakes get an air bubble in the line if the truck sits for a while and they have to be pumped before driving. The odometer does not work so I do not know the exact mileage. The truck just sits in my shop, so it's time to sell and let someone else enjoy it. To make the truck a daily driver I would - install front disk brakes, install new gauges, new windshield wiper motor, install a new wiring harness, and install a turn signal switch (which I have). Or, you can just leave it like it is. It's great for parades and car shows. I've posted a video of the truck on Youtube. Search 1952 Chevrolet truck Mineola Texas and it should come up. Price is $12,500 CASH ONLY. The truck must be picked up in Mineola Texas which is about 70 miles East of Dallas. The buyer must arrange any shipping. I recommend hauling the truck on a trailer if you will be driving more than 20 or 30 miles from Mineola.
