Up for auction is my 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Series Short Bed 1/2 ton Pickup! It`s powered by a newer-model 250 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine and it`s original 4 speed transmission. This truck also retains it`s original rear differential, but it has been upgraded with "highway friendly" 3.31 gears. The brakes are manual drum, front-rear. Steering is also manual. The front axle is a "dropped" straight axle - that gives it the "low" stance. It runs great and drives good. Brakes are good. Clutch works perfect. It has been updated with a CD Player in the dash and also has a newer-model alternator (12 volt electrical system). All of the lights work: headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals. The wipers work great as well as the heater. All of the gauges work: gas gauge, speedometer, engine temp and oil pressure. This is a great cruiser. It always starts right up! It has good oil pressure and never overheats. It doesn`t have any noticeable fluid leaks. Overall this is a great classic truck. The body is solid and the paint is driver quality. The windows roll up and down smoothly and the window felts and door weatherstripping is in good shape. The body shows a couple small dings here and there, no big dents. I do not see any significant rust to speak of. I can see where there was some minor rust in both cab corners that has been cosmetically repaired. The rest of the body looks good. There is a few chips and scratches as this is a driver, not a trailer queen. The paint is older but looks very presentable. This is not a show truck and is not a freshly restored truck. It is 58 years old and does have a few cosmetic flaws. If you understand this, you`ll be happy with the truck. I have been an Ebay seller for 14 years. I have perfect feedback.
