Thank you for viewing our listing! We are offering for sale this beautiful 56 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup. The truck has been fully restored and is in fully operable condition. The original 235 straight six runs like a top and provides plenty of powerto easily run 60 down the highway. The manual 4 speed transmission shifts exactly as it should. The clutch and brakes operate exactly as they should as well. All the running gear and drive train is original to the truck, and is in excellent condition. Even the original steering box only allows only an "hour" of play, if you imagine the steering wheel to be the face of a clock. We recently added a chrome tilt steering column to the truck, and completely rewired the entire truck with a fused wiring harness. All signals and lights work correctly. The seats have been updated to black and grey cloth upholstered captain style seats.They are very comfortable and in excellent condition. The chrome rims are brand new and the tires are deep in rubber all the way around. The wood bed is natural oil finish, and the sides ofthe box are lined with a smooth satin black durable industrial coating, not simply painted. The tailgate has hidden latches and the chainshave been deleted so they don't beat up the paint. The front bumper is brand new chrome, and the rear bumper was custom builtand doubles as a compressed air tank. A heavy duty trailer hitch receiver is mounted beneath the bumper, complete with a six prong trailer light plug. The restoration is several years old, but has held up extremely well. The steps into the cab show a bit of paint wear, and there is a small paint chip above the right headlight that has been retouched. This is a gorgeous truck that you would not feel badabout enjoying on the road. NOTE! eBay allows 24 pictures. I have many more including from underneath up on a lift. This auction is for 1947 pickup that has been done right. You can jump in and cruise right away with no issues. Powered with chevy 305 paired with a 350 automatic transmission wth a shift kit on the floor. It has a S-10 rear end with shocks in front and back. Front has a 1937 grill. New 4" H78/15's wide whites on the rear and New Diamond back 205/70/ 15's extra wide white walls in front. 3 core aluminum radiator with 2 electric cooling fans and a 7 blade radiator fan( runs 180 degrees all day long). It has a 40,000 volt coil with electronic ignition. The paint is a gloss brown with metal flake (see close up picture). I would say the paint is 8 out of 10 , it is straight and has a small chip spot about a quarter in size on the left fender and a few dots from road gravel but overall nice. The bed is stained plywood with 3 coats of polyurethane. Doors are tight. Truck has been recently inspected. Drum brakes all around without any problems at all. No leaks. I just had both kingpins replaced so it steers straight. I drive with one hand on steering wheel and the other across the bench. Interior is a cream with new black bench seat with new headliner, all glass is perfect. AHOOOGA horn really makes onlookers smile. All lights work with turn signals, set of working sun-pro gauges. original gas gauge and speedo work. Comp headers with new dual exhaust which has a low growl but not real loud but loud enough to have someone turn and notice. The bumpers are solid steel ,buffed and clear coated. This truck gets lots of looks and everyone is always taking pictures. I drove it last year in the Christmas parade and the 4th of July parade and did not have a problem. I used the electric fans but I never really needed them. The sun visor is fabricated from fiberglass . It has a fine crack about 6 inches long that can be easily repaired. Its not really noticeable thats why it hasnt been on my prioriy list. I drive it on weekends and keep it in the garage. recent oil change, radiator flush and new plugs. I have the clear title in my name and buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I will coordinate with the shipper but its up to buyer to pay.
