95 Caprice wagn 112k Up for bid is a 1995 Chevy Caprice Wagon with 112k miles. Lifelong southern car. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package with 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket. This car has a light duty hitch. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Clean history - send me your email address and I'll send you the history report. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight with a couple very small dings low on left quarterpanel as seen in pics. Has a very small ding on the hood. No rust and no bondo. Above average. Paint: Paint is nice with a few scratches and chips consistent with age. Above average also. Wood: Upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it won't peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in very good shape - all shiny and only a few nicks and chips and some defects on the tailgate. Other: Lower fake chrome trim has some fading. Windshield and all other glass are good with no chips or cracks. Undercarriage is super solid as seen in pics. Underhood sheet metal/wheelhouses are spotless. Tailgate sill and door jambs are also solid as seen in pics. Spoked hubcaps are in good shape - one has some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very good shape. Dash has no cracks. Cloth seating areas are in very nice shape. Carpet in seating area is very nice. Carpet in cargo area has a couple small stains. Headliner has a few small tears as seen in pics. Nice interior overall. Note that the blue basket on the front floorboard is Velocro'd in place, not screwed - easy to remove if you don't like it. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna doesn't work but all other power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, rear window release, rear wiper, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out great. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 70% tread remaining front, 20% rear, on two matched pairs of good quality radials. Solid, quiet original stainless steel exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours. I am selling for a good friend of mine a really ATTRACTIVE and CLEAN Wagon!! He has done a lot of engine overhaul and reconditioning of car to get it ready for the road. He has owned it for 4 years. I have rode in this thing and it runs and rides great. Can drive it anywhere. He has taken it on 300 mile road trips with a/c on and no hiccups. IT IS A DAILY DRIVER!! He had the engine taken out and redone from top to bottom with paperwork to prove it!! The odometer is showing 90100 or so but the engine only has about 1500 since rebuild. It has an aggressive stance with the 22 inch wheels. True duel exhaust with chrome tips. It has cherry bombs. Car looks good and runs good. The Cleanest, original, garage kept example of a full size wagon you may ever find! This 5.7 liter (350 cu.in.) Wagon has been maintained intensively by a auto enthusiast and is truly a turn-key car. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere!! I am 2nd owner ( for the past 12 years) , and have all service, repair and replacement records from new to now. Always garage kept, this car has a clean interior ( never used to haul "dirty" material) and a rust-free exterior with original paint in excellent ,well waxed and polished condition. The body has only a few minor dings---to small to show on the photos. With 89000 original miles, and a clean history (no accidents), this dependable car runs and rides fantastic and solid. Remote door locks and an upgrade to R-131 A.C. coolant are the only modifications added. Every part you can name has been serviced or replaced over the past five years including a new Radiator, hoses, fan clutch, water pump, all upper engine manifold gaskets, starter motor, alternator, heater motor and 3 speed rheostat control. The Tires (Cooper White Walls), Brakes, and Monroe premium Shocks, all have about 12 to 14 k on them and have been recently adjusted, rotated etc. I have always noted that my mechanic never had any problem getting any part!!! (All work was done on my Wagon by the same excellent mechanic in the same local shop---and he always said it was an exceptionally good Chevy!!!). This car comes with extras ---two w/w tires, three complete wire wheel and center cap wheel covers, a pair of taillight assemblies (only used on wagons), touch-up paint, extra floor mats, and original owner's manual. Front end is tight and solid and I have even had the steering box adjusted. handles great for a full size car. I am retiring and downsizing my home and car fleet, and consequently this car only needs a good new home. This Great wagon will qualify for Classic plates and very inexpensive classic car insurance in two years ( Sept. of 2017 when the 2018 models come out). With everything working perfectly ( including the clock and the AM/FM/Cassette Stereo System), this full size V8 wagon is well worth the asking price of $6800. I would prefer to sell locally in order that the buyer can personally inspect the car. Distant buyers will have to make their own transport arrangments.
