This is a long listing. I want you to have the detailed history of the car since I have owned it and some history as to where it came from. I have been told by several folks in the Camaro B4C hobby who buy and sell these cars that my price is low. I just want a quick sell to a good home. Just FYI, I will be out of town from May 2nd till May 10th. Please take the time to read all of this and follow the links. That way you can make an educated bid. Also, please ask me any questions about the car before you bid. This is a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro B4C Police Interceptor. It was used as an unmarked cruiser when it was in service. It was the take home car of then Sheriff Ben Riley of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. This car is one of one since it was the only B4C used by the Agency it came from. The car is also one of 14 B4C that were made in this color for 1998. The color is bright green. There were a total of 251 B4Cs made in 1998. I bought the car from Mark Woodhouse with Cop Cars Online in Florida about 5 years ago. Some B4C folks may know or know of Mark. The car had been in his museum for four years or so. After seeing it in his Museum for all those years I grabbed it up when he put it up for sale. I have posted dozens of pics in several albums on Flickr. Some of the albums and pics have descriptive info with them. One album is the dealer pics Mark took for the ebay auction he had the car on and others are from what I have taken over the years.https://www.flickr.com/photos/130537363@N04/sets/ As of 04-08-2015 the car was washed, clayed, rewashed and polished one day and on the 8th I washed it, waxed it and then polished it again. The pics above were taken after the final cleaning on the 8th. It will be washed and polished again before you pick it up. I am selling this beautiful car due to several reasons. My Wife has real bad arthritis and has painful difficulty getting in and out of the car. She also does not really enjoy doing car shows. Getting in and out of the car from down so low has gotten old and I’m not as young as I used to be. Plus I recently bought a different car for a daily driver as I plan to get out of retirement and go back to work soon. I did not want to even consider using the B4C as a a daily driver. So I need to have one less car. I have other hobbies I can pursue. The car was never my daily driver; we used my wife’s car to get around primarily. I showed it the first 2+ years I had it and brought home 4 trophies and have not shown it in about 2+ years. The last competition I went to in 2013, which was over 100 Camaros, the Judge told me my paint was “immaculate”, but I didn’t get a trophy. I didn’t detail under the hood. Other than two extra antennas on the rear quarter panels, there were no holes made in the car's body. It appears to have had a cellular phone antenna at one time in the top center of the rear window. When I got the car it had no odor of a smoker ever being in it and I do not smoke either. I have never had any pets in it either. The drivers seat has a small rip in it. See a pic of this on Flickr in the album: Pics taken 04-08-2015. The passenger seat looks great. The dash is in great condition. There are some rock chips on the hood, very minor. Headliner is in very nice condition and there was never a ticket light put in the headliner.I removed the sun visors since they were droopy, but kept the visor mounts. I put visor deletes in their place. They are black anodized billet aluminum. You can see a pic on Flickr in the album: Pics taken 04-08-2015. The car has a grey interior. The carpeting is in good condition except on the drivers side. There is a hole in it from shoe heels. I have just kept it covered up by a floor mat. The car looks great with the brand new mottled grey floor mats I put in on 04-01-2015. The carpeting cleans up very well. The car has an automatic transmission, cruise control, power driver’s seat, power locks, power windows, and power mirrors. The A/C is ice cold. All power options work, nothing is broken. I have replaced a couple of switches since I have owned it. See list below. The top of the rear bumper cover had clear coat issues. I tried to tackle this myself with poor results. I did not ruin the bumper cover; it can be repainted by someone a bit more competent than me. There are pics on Flickr in the album: Pics taken 04-08-2015There is one final issue with the car. The tachometer is malfunctioning. It is my understanding from research that there is a loose or broken soldering point on the tachometer board. Although this is in my skillset, I have never taken the time to pull the gauges and fix it. It is easier for you to look at a video than me try to explain the issue. In the background of the video you can hear me rev the engine and you can see the tachometer not responding as it should. VIDEO LINKThe original AM/FM radio does work, although the clock stays on all the time. It is a common flaw with these GM radios. It can run your battery down. I still have that radio but have replaced it with another radio that is am/fm, cd with usb. Both radios come with the car. In case you might be interested in preserving this car as a Police car I know what equipment was in the car and where it was in the car when it was in service. I have a copy of the original South Carolina title and the key fobs used by the Agency. I have a couple of new patches from the Agency. I have two framed Camaro B4C GM posters that go with the car. I used one for shows and had one in my man cave. If you want the four trophies the car won, let me know. I also have info about the car in frames with stands for displaying at the shows, plus a stand for the poster. In the trunk area there were holes drilled when equipment was put in. I have filled those holes with clear hot glue to keep the water out. When I got the Camaro, all the emergency equipment and wiring had been removed. The only thing left behind was the siren speaker, which does work. I rewired for all the equipment and for shows I have the car equipped as close to what it probably was. I spoke with personnel at the Agency and the guy who supposedly outfitted it when I bought it, although he was a bit of a knucklehead. The Motorola radio head and microphone were new when I got them and were originally installed in the center console. The Motorola speaker is used. I do not have the transmitter portion of the radio. Originally there were strobes in the rear tail lights. I have LED strobes in the rear tail light. Although they would not have been available when the car was in service, they maintain the look and use less power when I leave them on during shows. I can tell you what I was told was in the car and where it may have been mounted if you want to replace everything exactly how it was. I installed a brand new remote siren from Sirenet. It was not original to the car, but it is what I went with. I figured it may not make a difference since the siren was hidden. The car does have its original siren speaker mounted where it originally was located. I replaced the old siren switches on the console with the ones from the new siren. I will include the original old switches. In the pics on Flickr with the equipment in the car, two items shown are not included. The DashKing on the dash was on loan as long as I owned the car. A DashKing was used when the car was in service. The DashKing I used was a double blue strobe and is available from the owner for $70.00. And the gear bag on the passenger seat is my personal bag, so that is not included.Any parts, repairs etc that I have had done, I have receipts for.The car currently has 128,678 miles as of 04-08-2015. So less than 12,000 miles in almost 5 years. Now onto what has been done to the car.:Just before I bought it at around 116,000 miles: New transmission. New battery.
