RARE FINDSWB FLEET-SIDE Here is a truly sought after truck and this one will make a great one to start with. It is very solid where it counts.The 6 cyl engine runs. It has a new distributor cap, resistor, new plugs, new plug wires and a fresh rebuild kit in the carburetor.I have run it off of a gas can because the tank will need to be flushed. There are new brakes parts for the brakes, they are not up. It has a NEW tinted windshield. The truck has been stored inside for most of it's like. Underneath the truck is incredibly solid as you will see in the pictures. The cab steps are awesome and the floor is great as well! The inner fenders almost look new!! The truck will need the outer cab corners only, a little rust on the bottom of the passenger door outer skin and the tailgate and inner bottom of the bed where it meets the wood. All of which is a very easy fix. You would be hard pressed to find a truck this solid for the money. The truck has been sprayed in primer over the years to preserve it, not to hide anything. There is a spot above the passenger headlight that was an attempt to fix a dent and any of the other dents are what you see, so nothing is hidden. Just a great start to a very rare and cool looking truck. Nice 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10. Truck runs and drives great. Odometer reads 47,771, not sure if this is the correct total miles, judging by the way it drives I would say it is very possible. I purchased the truck in its current condition, it was restored several years ago. Everything on the truck works as it should, engine is straight six with 3 on a tree manual and runs great. This auction is for a 1960 Chevrolet C-40 truck that was converted to a NHRA drag racing car hauler years ago here in Oklahoma City by Mr. Darrell Warren then owner of Horton Motors in Oklahoma City . Mr. Warren had a 10000 rpm stick shifted 50's Corvette he liked to race and this was the truck he chose to haul it with. The truck has a few comforts added such as power steering and AC and the engine of choice is a built 427 "said to be from a Corvette" . The engine runs great and upon close inspection we notice a passenger exhaust manifold from a Corvette . I can not read the casting numbers on the back of the block because the engine fits closely to the firewall . The cylinder heads are #3964290 and are dated December 1969 . The intake is GM and the carb is a quick fuel Holley . The transmission is 4 speed and works well . The truck is finished in satin black paint with decals that can be removed if desired . The interior is very presentable and features a vintage steering wheel with a tilt steering column and AM/FM 8-track player too..... The truck has a nice rock solid steel bed with side access tool boxes and a even has a receiver hitch to tow a trailer if desired . ***1960 CHEVROLET C10***PANEL DELIVERY Rare 1960 Panel Delivery. Under the 1964 hood is a 235 CI Inline 6cyl. engine w/3/4 race cam. FENTON dual carb intake w/2 single barrel Rochester carbs. FENTON dual exhaust with muffler from Patricks Antique auto. MALLORY Electronic Ign. PERTRONIX coil new spark plugs and wires. POWERMASTER PowerGen Alt. engine is finished off with WAYNE finned valve cover and sidecover. MOONEYES remote oil filter. 3spd manual trans. Odometer reads 44,000 mi., however, the odometer only goes to 100,000 mi. and I'm sure it's turned over at least once. New radiator core. Runs cool, cruises smooth. Vehicle is lowered in front using drop spindles w/ power disc brakes. Rear is lowered w/ blocks and lowering springs. Frame is unnotched. BILSTEIN Shocks in front. MONROE airshocks in back so you can use it like a truck without dragging the rear bumper (spare set of Brillstein shocks for the rear included if you prefer). Wheels are by WHEELSMITH, 15X7 front, and 15X8 rear with BF Goodrich Silverton radial wide white wall tires. All engine and chassis work done correctly with no corners cut or expense spared. Bumpers and grill were rechromed when I purchased the vehicle 7 yrs ago and still look great w/ very minor rust spot on driver’s side grill. Paint still in good condition, for being parked outside all these years, although not 10 out of 10 show quality, but excellent driver quality look. Custom pinstriping, CA black truck plates. Small areas of minor rust in lower door and cab corners (see photos). Interior cargo area sides finished in plywood and full length headliner. Power adjust seats are from a late model Cadillac of unknown yr. All gauges and lights operational, plus I have added aux gauges from So.Cal. speed shop (volt, temp, oil pres.) in a finned aluminum gauge panel. Steering wheel is early 60’s Impala w/ working chrome horn ring. AM/FM single disc stereo in dashboard with amp in center console box. Custom ape-hanger shift lever topped with authentic beertap (have many other shift knobs that go with sale). I have all parts to take vehicle back to stock condition if you desire, plus an extra set of original wheels and tires and many different hubcap sets that are included in the sale. This is an Arizona truck and has virtually no rust, you can buy it and drive it home. This is a vehicle you have to see to appreciate. The cross members and the rear end are pinstriped, the entire underbody is painted the same color as the rest of the truck, and the 350 runs great, and has a large aftermarket aluminum radiator installed. This was a show truck before I purchased it, so the heater was removed and all vent controls are attached with velcro. The windshield wipers and headlight knobs were retained and still work. The radio was installed just for temporary sound, I can remove if desired before shipping. Black spot inside the hood is a rust stopping primer with a black gloss topcoat. The master cylinder leaked and ate away the paint, so after the new master cylinder was installed it was painted. New windshield wipers and wiper arms, new headlights, new tires as of last fall, new chrome air filter this winter. Just needs you to put gas in it and cruise around turning heads. Will include new door seals and wind shield seals, as well as the window felt for the crank windows. Purchased felt/rubbers (From LMC Truck) with the intention of installing but never had time/didn't feel like it was necessary to replace something that was still working. California truck I purchased 6 years ago from the Original owner. They had the truck professionally restored. Since I've owned it: new tires, new shocks, rebuilt transmission , custom pull out rear step, flushed radiator, new seat belts, rebuilt carburetor, few brake lines replaced . Truck looks and drives great. Although I now live in Oregon I have retained the original California commercial license plates. Last 10 years truck has been driven approximately 2000 miles. Always garaged, driven a little and maintained, oil changes yearly. Includes original jack set under seat, flag/flare holder, spare tire (not mounted on truck), extra brake lines left over from set (a few were replaced). Previous owner installed flat bed which is metal and in great shape. Only reason for sale is scaling down and don't have garage space for it. Any questions, ask me.
