Up for sale is this beautiful 1956 Chevy nomad, finished in sierra gold and adobe beige. Having been painted sometime around 1990, it shows a minor amount of patina, but over-all is very acceptable. It has been a California and Arizona car most all it's life and is totally rust free. Engine is an LT1 from a 1995 Trans Am with 1996 Corvette LT4 heads and fuel injection. It is freshly rebuilt with about 5000 miles and runs with no issues. Transmission is a fresh 700R4 and differential is a Ford 8.8 inch with 3.27:1 gears. With this combination the fuel mileage is about 23 on the highway and 20 driving locally.The upper control arms have been replaced with tubular units, steering box is a CPP 500 unit along with dropped spindles with GM style disc brakes. Wheels are 18 and 20 inch Budniks. The interior is redone in original stock style using a kit fromC.A.R.S. Inc. All chrome and stainless are excellent. Guages are VDO, sound system is Kenwood with usb, bluetooth and an external amp. Steering column is from Ididit and steering wheel is 1959 Impala. Pedals are from Lokar. Air conditioning, heat and defrost are compliments of Vintage Air. The spare tire compartment was removed and a custom compartment was made to house the battery and amp for the sound system with a little extra space for a few tools or whatever. Gets more looks and photo's than a new Ferrari 350 CI stroked with 250 shot Nitrous, 700 R4 Transmission with a 2000 RPM Converter. 500 HP/435 ft/lbs (without the Nitrous) Lexus power bucket seats, interior done in Kid leather with Ostrich panels and trimmed with red piping, fresh carpet and headliner. PPG base clear less than 2 years old. Classic gauges, Toyo tires, Colorado custom rims 18” Front and 20” Rear, custom carbon fiber center console, Kenwood Excelon DNN990HD GPS, Custom Twin P&G Amps, Flaming River steering column with matching Colorado Custom billet steering wheel with red and black leather trim. Custom brake and throttle pedals. Art Morrison Tri-5 custom 4 link coil over frame, powder coated to match the car. All frame accessories are either polished stainless, billet aluminum or chromed, bars, springs, Strange axles and shocks, power steering (chrome rack), Electronic Boost Braking System with Wilwood Disc Brakes (all 4), 411-Ford 9". Polished stainless rear battery and Nitrous custom box in rear with polished stainless steel floor in rear of car. Much more to list under the hood, seeing is believing, this is a real head turner.
