For sale I have a nice 28,600 mile 3.8L V-6 20th Anniversary Indy Turbo Trans am with clear IL title. Original miles and in great overall shape with modified engine. There were performance upgrades to this engine. All straight with matching Serial numbers on all doors, trunk & hood. All options. Great, very fast car. Paint is original best one can tell and does show it's age in areas but again overall very nice given its age. This Turbo Trans Am has the same basic engine as a Grand National. Only 1,555 were produced.. It has no known mechanical issues. Underside is as clean as the top side. Many receipts for maintenance & engine upgrades are included along with the window sticker, manual & 1989 brochure. Only issues are some paint chips and scuffs, the rear spoiler has a crack at the base by the hatch (common issue with these) and a couple small scratches in the rear truck area, the driver left side bolster is worn. power antennae doesn't go up and the cruise control does not always work. "I bought this last year from North Dakota. This Anniversary Trans Amhad had a lot of performance work already done to it and about 4,000 miles on it since rebuild with the following: A new short block built and the car tuned. "109" block . 020 over. billet #2 #3 cap. JE forged pistons. Edelbrock 204/214 cam kit. Harland Sharp 1. 65 roller rockers. Champion Racing ported and polished intake and heads with a new valve job. Ceramic coated headers cross pipe and 3'' down pipe. Aceel gen 7. 60 injectors. Alky control methanol injection. rebuilt TE61 turbo. Custom after market intercooler. Car also has the original stock I/C.. A/C is converted to 134 and blows cold. Car currently make 318 rwhp and 380 rwtq. This is on a break in tune and is only running off the waste gate (14psi). The manual boost controller and methonal injection are NOT hooked up. The car should be re-tuned and have the boost controller and methanol injection hooked up if you desire. 1971 Pontiac Trans Am 455 H.O. This is a very nice car, body on restoration. The paint job is second to none, just a year old only driven twice since repainted. New bumper, new tail light lenses, body mounts, new window and door rubber, new molding, new glass, new seat foam, new refinished dash and gauges, original am-fm red dot Delco radio. All gauges work. Body- Paint is new and very nice, correct color white and blue stripes, black interior very nice condition, body was taken down to bare metal - had two quarter size rust holes, this was a California car hardly any rust at all, underside of car is in very good condition, $14,500 was spent on paint alone. Body lines are great, lines up better that factory. New windshield molding and rubber. Engine- is correct replacement block replaced the first 6 months as original was damaged, block was replaced by Pontiac and all original parts heads round port, intake and card are correct exhaust manifolds are correct, the distributor is not original. New exhaust and muffler and tailpipes, new hoses, belts, wiper motor, new solenoids and wiring for the scoop, works as it should. New brakes, two sets of tires and rims. I have the aftermarkets and the originals rims and tires both sets of tires are new, only one set of wheel and tires are included with the sale of this car, if you choose the other set it can be bought also at a extra cost. With the introduction of the second-generation Firebird, the 1970 Pontiac Trans Am came into its own as a bare-knuckles brawler. Functional spoilers and vents abounded, while super-tough underpinnings and quickened steering gave it corner-hungry handling. The 1970 Pontiac Trans Am's standard engine, the 345-horsepower Ram Air 400-cid V-8, furnished low-14-second elapsed times at the dragstrip. The Trans Am’s engine breathed through a new rear-facing shaker scoop designed to capture cool ambient air flowing over the hood. A four-speed transmission with Hurst shifter was standard; the Turbo Hydra-matic automatic was optional. The 1970 Pontiac Trans Am's road manners received much attention. The padded Formula steering wheel directed quick 12.1:1 variable-ratio power steering. Stiffer springs and heavy-duty front and rear sway bars teamed with Polyglas F60X15 tires on Rally II wheels. Standard 10.9-inch power front disc brakes and 9.5-inch rear drums did the stopping. The 1970 Pontiac Trans Am wore the same impact-absorbing snout as other Firebirds, but Pontiac said its unique front air dam and fender air extractors created 50 pounds of downforce on the nose at expressway speeds.
