For sale in our Detroit showroom is this 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. The first part of this beatiful classic that grabs your attention is the Pontiac graphic on the hood. Powered by the original numbers-maching 6.6L, 403 cubic-inch V8, and an automatic transmission, this Pontiac is easy and fun for anyone to drive. Inside you\'ll cruise in comfort in cloth hobnail bucket seats, with the option of removable t-tops so you can enjoy the open-air experience on a nice day. Also original is the paint and interior, which show very well for an unrestored car. Rolling stock consists of newer tires mounted on the iconic snowflake wheels with the red bird inserts. There isn\'t a part of this car that does not command attention. A true flashback to a time when auto manufacturers were not afraid to take chances and be bold with new designs, this is the car for you if you want to be noticed! With an unforgettable louvered black lens that streches from taillight to taillight, the losers of late night street races will at least have a great view as this Pontiac crosses the finish line! As if the great looks and originality wasn\'t enough, this Pontiac also has plenty of period-correct documentation, like owners manual, service manual, original Pontiac dealer brochures and posters, and even National Parts Depot, Classic Industries, and Year One calatogs if you want to take this 70\'s muscle car to the next level! Options on this Trans Am include: A/C, AM/FM radio with casette, t-tops, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, seat belts, and cloth interior. Recent mechanical work includes new tires, brakes, exhaust, and a rebuilt carburetor, so this Pontiac will be reliable during weekend car shows, or your daily commute to work! Finding well-preserved and unrestored survivor cars is becoming increasingly rare, so don\'t miss out on your chance to own this spectacular piece of history that you can also drive and enjoy! Located in our Detroit showroom, this \'79 Trans Am can be seen in greater detail, including HD photos and video, at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, or call (313)-982-3100 for more information. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a sharp 1976 Pontiac Trans-Am. The Firebird/ Trans-Am model was one of General Motors most popular models in the 70%26acirc;??s. Firebirds were a prominent car used in the Trans-am and SCCA racing series of the 1960%26acirc;??s and 70%26acirc;??s due to their impressive handling characteristics, and slightly lighter body weight. Pontiac first coined the controversial Trans-Am name in 1969 from those races. This Firebird has had an engine change to one of GM%26acirc;??s other popular power plant; a 383 Chevy stroker with a Dart II Sportsman intake, chrome Holly 4bbl carburetor, Hedman Hedders, dual exhaust and an aftermarket HEI distributer will get this F body to move. The Chevy%26acirc;??s power is transferred to the pavement through a 3 speed automatic 400 turbo transmission and a 10 bolt 8.5 posi-rear. The owner did make use of the T/A%26acirc;??s fully functional shaker hood scoop that was originally offered on this car. Unlike most Trans-Am guys that usually go with black with gold graphics this car was done in a very nice gun metal gray paint with a black bird and decals and looks great with the dark red vinyl and cloth interior. Options include: power steering, power brakes, seat belts, cloth and vinyl interior, raised white letter radial tires on 15x8 Pontiac snowflake wheels. For sale is a low mile, survivor 1978 Pontiac Trans Am located in our Indianapolis showroom. This awesome \'78 T/A is optioned with the W72 Performance Package and the WS6 Handling package and this option combination quickly established the 1978 Trans Am as the \"King of the Hill\". The W72 Performance Package was an engine option on the base 6.6 Liter 400 CID engine that provided an additional 20 horsepower over the stock engine and was labeled as the \"T/A 6.6\". Pontiac achieved this additional horsepower by beefing up the 4-barrel carburetor, adding a cam with 20 more degrees of duration, a new low restriction dual resonator exhaust system, and adding an air cleaner with a larger snorkel. Just so that everyone knew you had a T/A 6.6, the callouts were affixed to the shaker and chrome valve covers. This car is also optioned with the WS6 Handling Package that consists of stiffer rear springs, larger rear stabilizer bar with polyurethane link bushings, tighter shocks, a new steering gearbox with a 14:1 ratio, and 225/70R15 steel belted Goodyear Radials wrapped around a set of 15x8 inch wide snowflake wheels. This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am is powered by its original 6.6L 400 CID V8 engine , backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, running to a Posi Traction rear end with 3.42 gears with only 13,909 actual miles! Options on this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am include: Factory Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Rear Window Defogger, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, and Raised White Letter Radial Tires. This beautiful survivor is still sporting its original black paint with the unmistakable shaker hood and Firebird decal on the hood. The interior is also nicely preserved in its original black vinyl interior and gold gauge bezel that makes this car pop. This car also comes with the build sheet that outlines all the factory options that were ordered on the car. This is a true collectors piece that will only continue to increase in value over time and is looking for a new home.
