This car runs great, a real eye turner. she has all new springs, shocks, brakes, brake lines, new dual exhaust, and a complete engine tune up with many upgrades. Have extra bumpers front and rear, also have a 2 barrel carburetor with manifold, air condition pump that works great, and many other original parts for this car, if so desired to use. I've installed a Pioneer Stereo with back Top mount Speakers that will crank, but has also the original radio that works, and a Kraco 8-track/FM player under dash.I have had this car a few years, has some bondo in rear quarters, I believe. Given this vehicle is 45 years old the condition is very clean. Smoke free environment. There are no mechanical problems that I can identify. Recently the struts were replaced along with the radiator, belts and hoses. New plugs, points, condenser. Check the power steering fluid, there may be a leak somewhere. There is a slight dent in the rear bumper. Touches of rust on left and right back corners and approx. a 6 inch scrape on the passenger side, rear door panel. Weather stripping needs to replaced between front and rear window, passenger side. Interior is green. Cloth/Vinyl seats. Drivers seat has tear in cloth and tear in vinyl. Very easy to repair. Carpeting on floor , all original and in great shape. Back floor carpeting and passengers floor carpeting like new. The vehicle features power steering and factory air conditioning. There is an aftermarket sunroof that pops up. Looking at it, I would say it was installed in the seventies. All original , including the hub caps with the red insert. Interior lighting and signals all work, all original. I purchased the vehicle in 2009 in Asheville, North Carolina. I am not the original owner. As far as I know it was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. The person I bought it from lived in Reno at the time, where he purchased it. I am selling an original 1960 Pontiac Catalina 2dr.Automatic.It has its orignal 389 Cu In V-8 engine with 2bbl Carb.This is an orignal #s matching car.Car is blue with a white vinyl top.Car was in storage for years and has an original 50,604 miles on it.Car has sat out for the last few years.Car was a 1 owner car purchased new in 1959. Car will need total restoration. Car may also be used as a parts car as well.I do have the original bill of sale from the date the car was purchased in 1959 and a clean PA title in my name.Frame under car is in good shape, but body needs a complete makeover!! Glass is all intact and clear.Pass side glass cracked.Trim on car is hurting as well,alot of bends and scrapes!! Engine is a 8 Cylinder automatic on the column.Engine turns free by hand but have not tried to start it yet!!Floor boards are in very rough shape,along with interior.Previous owner used old road signs to try to create a new floor.Car would need quarters,rockers,floor pans,possible trunk floor and alot of TLC. Both bumpers would need re-done.This would be a big project car to re-do.Would be a beautiful car to totaly restore.would be excellent for a resto mod car!!Checked the Vin# that was in the door jamb of the driverside door. Vin tag reads (160W3959).I also checked this on the front of the block of the engine and it also has the same Vin#s on the engine block. Checked body code tag as well.Body tag reads as follows,(Style-60),(Body 8W),(379),(Trim 207),may be a digit off on the "7",and (Paint FC).Orignal #s on the engine block, on the right front side of the engine above the one previously mentioned.These block part #s are located on passanger side font of the motor,by the water pump stamped into the block below the head.The part #s are (063878) and (A1).This is the original motor for the car.The body tag reads as follows on the car--- On the cowl tag it is actually BODY BW 379 which refers to the Fisher Wilmington Delaware Plant where the body panels were welded together and the 379th production unit. The VIN tag 160W3959 indicates 1=Catalina, 60= 1960, W= assembled at the Pontiac Wilmington Assembly Plant and is the 3959th Catalina unit.
