This is Mooncraft Moke Sport which is based on Mini Moke. Designed by famous race car designer Takuya Yura, the owner/president of Moon Craft Co., Ltd. They designed many formula cars, GT cars, Japanese F3000, GC, and some Le Mans cars for Mazda(1979-1983), etc,. There are Moke Sports race series in early 1990's in Japan and only 27 units of Moke Sports ever built for the one-make equal condition Moke Soprts race series. Mechanical is all stock, Moke chassis, driving position had moved to far back, high quality fiber glass body. Lowed and modified suspension.Spax shocks and Panasport competition wheels. Stock 1,000cc engine, single carb. This Moke Sports had been stored and displayed for long time, after it had only 710km(445miles) since new.I am driving it here sometimes and the car now has 860km. All new tires, new battery, steering rack boots, fuel filter, muffler mount, etc.. Also, the gas tank had been removed and cleaned. The car had original tires but they were too old. Now the car has fresh tires. Ready to drive. Has California title and registration. It is one of a very unique example of popular Mini based family. Fantastic fun!! 1973 Innocenti Mini 1300cc With everything from major rallying and saloon car racing success to being the outright star of films such as The Italian Job, the Mini is a true icon of the 20th Century, not just as transportation, but as pop-art and contemporary design. But fifty years ago, to many, its designer Sir Alec Issigonis included, the notion that the Mini might have a future as anything other than basic transport was ridiculous and the idea of a high-performance version was laughable. One man though, saw it quite differently. Racing car manufacturer John Cooper already knew quite a bit about tuning BMC's A-Series engine - he was running the company's Formula Junior effort at the time - and a test drive in a prototype Mini convinced him of the car's competition potential. The result, launched in September 1961, was the Mini Cooper, a car that offered a size/price/performance package that was nothing short of miraculous. Italian manufacturer Innocenti, under ownership of British Leyland, manufactured the classic Mini under license from the mid 1960s to 1975. Arguably a more stylish version of the British car, it was exquisitely built and sported 1300cc power, making for a quick truly European sports coupe. The example on offer here, was imported from Southern Italy a year or so ago and shows only 70,000 km (less than 44,000 miles) from new. Starting with a clean, rust-free shell, the car was fully restored. Repainted in stylish black with an old English white roof, the car shows really well with the Minilite-style wheels. Glass is all excellent, and chrome trim and brightwork shows well. The interior is sporty and as stylish as the exterior. White seats and panels contrast well with black dash and bright red carpet. And brand new dark red seatbelts set the whole thing off beautifully. Mechanically, the car is excellent throughout. The car starts easily and idles well, fresh from a full service to ready it for sale. It has fantastic and responsive power, running through an excellent 4-speed manual ‘box with excellent clutch action. It accelerates well by modern eco-box standards and will happily cruise at freeway speeds. Brakes are excellent, pulling the car up in a perfect straight line; steering is taut and has the great feel of a good classic Mini, while the suspension is excellent, all representative of the massive success of these little power-houses in rallying and racing. The car is simply a blast to drive! It feels bright and eager to run, and I would genuinely drive it anywhere without consideration and have great fun doing it! This is a great opportunity to buy a turn-key icon of British/Italian motoring and enduring symbol of "la dolce vita", which seats four comfortably and garners attention, waves and cheers wherever it goes. Not to mention, that it is a piece of cake to park and about as cheap to run as you can get!!

With three victories at Monte Carlo (back to back in 1964 and 1965), these pint size racers were formidable competitors. Their lightweight and decent power combined with great reliability made them a popular choice among drivers. Finding original Cooper Works cars is nearly impossible and even original Cooper S examples are becoming scarcer. To not only have an original Cooper S with loads of rare early Works components, but also history at the Monte Carlo Historique is a ticket to all kinds of exciting world wide exclusive vintage auto events. Although we do not know the specifics of this Mini’s early life, we have a suspicion that it might have been involved in rally racing back in the 60’s. There are too many unique components that were usually reserved for Works or competition cars. Furthermore, many of the early Cooper S features like original upholstery/carpet, 120mph speedo, chrome trim, wheels (off car), badging, etc. are mostly unrestored. It has not been driven in any other events since then and has mostly been a showpiece. It was imported to the U.S. in 2009 when the current owners purchased it. The owners are avid vintage vehicle collectors specializing in historical racecars. The have been participating for decades at the Monterey Historics as well as other exclusive vintage race events around the country. Besides using this Mini around the pits, their ultimate goal was to take the car back to Europe and continue racing in events there. Since this Mini had all the right papers and history, they thought it would be perfect. Their first goal was to make sure everything mechanically was in tiptop shape. So, they hired one of the best – Huffaker Engineering, Inc. of Sonoma, CA. Joe Huffaker was a 6+ time SCCA National Champion in a vintage Mini Cooper and is known for building not only the fastest vintage racers, but also some of the most reliable. He is not inexpensive, but he is one of the best. In total, over $15,000 was invested less than 100 miles ago rebuilding the drivetrain and other repairs. The paint and body are in very good condition with minor signs of use. The trim and Plexiglas appear to be original or excellent older parts. The real Minilites wear Yokohama A008 tires with near full tread. The interior is in equally nice condition with what appears to be mostly original upholstery, carpet, and headliner. All the gauges function properly and light up at night (including the Haldas and stopwatches). Even the interior dome light works. This is a functional vintage rally Mini Cooper that is turnkey and ready for any vintage event. Of course, the best part is the way it drives. It feels extremely light and nimble. The combination of increased power and custom gearbox provides excellent power with nice low-end torque. The steering is extremely precise and shifting is very smooth and easy. The pedal position is perfect for easy heal/toe work. The brakes are not only responsive, but have excellent pedal feel. In total, this set up inspires driving confidence. Rarely do we see this high level prepared vintage FAI competition rally cars available in North America. I imported the car from England approximately 11 years ago, so it does have very minor surface rust bubbles in 2 corners of the rain rail, at the bottom of door pillar and in the spare tire well. Even though it is the original paint from England, it is not the original paint from factory. The body has been maintained over the course of its life while in England. The reason for the original paint is the fact that the original British number plates currently on the Mini actually date the car. British vehicles were only allowed to be fitted with sticker number plates until a certain year, then they were only allowed in plastic form from that time on. I traveled across the "pond" and located the Mini in Sidcup, England and I purchased it from the 7th owner. It was prepared for shipment in Peeblesshire, Scotland. The car was shipped to Port Hueneme, California and I hired a customs broker for all the appropriate government inspections. It was inspected, cleared and first registered at the California Department of Motor vehicles. It is currently titled in New Mexico, USA and is still on record in California Department of Motor Vehicles database. I have all British documentation, MOT's, etc. and records on the car. All records and receipts on the vehicles build history are available upon request. The car has won many trophies and awards in British motorcar events. It has appeared in fashion magazines and displayed in art galleries. All literature pertaining to the car is available for the future history of the vehicle. I've owned this classic mini prepped vintage race car for a short while. I purchased it to get into vintage racing, however I have changed plans and the car is up for sale. The car is fully set up for vintage racing and has a fully built race drive train, however it still retains the look and function of a street legal car. The body remains all steel, with all original glass except the rear window. The headlights, brake lights and turn signals all function. One headlight opening is currently being used for the secondary radiator, however it can be easily refitted and is included. I have the car registered for street use in CA, and I have been enjoying driving it on the street. It has a large muffler that keeps the exhaust note down for street use. I purchased it from its previous owner in Manchester U.K. These cars are extremely rare her in the U.S.A. because this model of Mini was never imported here. This car in not original. The car was converted to dry suspension by the previous owner (considered by many to be an upgrade), and a sunroof.
