Up for grabs is a nice 1976 MG Midget convertible. It is a restoration project, as the engine and transmission are not in the car, and the interior needs to be restored. With the car you will receive TWO engines and TWO transmissions, as well as a manual and a number of parts. The body and undercarriage are solid! The odometer shows 12,281 but only has five digits. I am unsure as to whether the odometer has rolled over or not. This will be a great restoration platform for an original restoration, or a toy hot rod of some kind. I would encourage anyone to come and take a look prior to bidding if you are able. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, and will need to be towed to its destination. Please feel freet o ask any questions PRIOR TO BIDDING. Good luck!

All- I'm listing this car for a friend of mine and the description below is his not mine. The car is available to be seen and driven anytime during the auction. I have no financial interest in the car just selling her for a friend. Up for auction is my 1976 MGB with New top - Newer tires and just had $2000 spent on her. She is a 4 speed with non-overdrive. The wire wheels look great and sets this car apart from most you see out there. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanically: The car runs great. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. Last week the following work was completed by a professional MG mechanic and cost a small fortune. New Complete Distributor, New Coil, New Ignition Wires, New Spark Plugs, New Alternator, New fan belt, complete oil change, transmission & rear end fluids serviced, New Brake Master Cylinder, New front brake calipers, New front brake pads, New rear brake cylinders, New Clutch Master Cylinder, New Clutch Slave Cylinder, New Clutch Slave Cylinder Hose and NEW Complete exhaust system was installed. Also, the battery was recently replaced. At this time I know of nothing the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. Electrically: This area is in very good condition and the only 2 things I know that are not working is the horn and the cigarette lighter. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in proper working order. Interior: Nice presentable driver quality as shown in the photos. Exterior: This is a driver quality exterior. While it does look nice in the photos but you should plan on painting the car at some point. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Soft Top: Is brand new and was installed last month. Covers: The car comes with a top cover, Tonneau cover ( cover the cockpit when the top is down ) and a car cover. I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time

This 1979 MGB is a wonderful foray into a time when the cars were elemental and pure, and the driving experience wasn't measured on a clock, but instead by the size of the grin on your face. The MGB is one of those cars that everyone loves to see because they know it's built for pure pleasure. The compact proportions are ideally suited for carrying two passengers, and there's no extra fat to steal performance. The taut bodywork is now an icon that is pure retro cool. The chrome trunk rack adds a bit of class and is something you'll find useful on your next weekend getaway. But what really makes this roadster standout is the paint. Red was a factory color, but next to those, this MGB will look like a premium upgrade thanks to a respray in a hue borrowed from the Mercedes palette. This is not the kind of cushy interior that comes from a turnpike cruiser, but if you've read this far, you already knew that. Instead, the entire inside envelops the driver like a second skin. The space between the three-spoke wheel and the stick shift (both with factory optional wood accents) is exceptionally close for comfortable and quick performance. This entire interior feels quite original right down to the AM/FM/cassette stereo. The driver gets a full set of gauges with a large speedometer and tachometer as well as dials for other vitals such as oil, fuel, and water. The tan interior is in great condition, and over the coming years it will resist UV fading much better than the black ones. Since you'll be spending most of your time with the top down, the included tonneau cover will certainly come in handy. Power comes from a sprightly 1798cc four-cylinder motor. With a sporty exhaust note and a willingness to rev, the engine lives up to its British roadster pedigree by offering a mighty experience in a small package. The sound of the powerplant, the slickness of the four-speed gearbox, and unmatched tight handling are some of this car's many virtues. There is a surefooted feeling on the road thanks to the iconic alloy wheels with disc brakes behind the front set. This car comes with maintenance records and the owner's manual, so you know it has lived a cared for life. But if you do feel like spending a weekend tinkering with this one, the parts are easy to obtain and install. The MGB is one of those rare affordable icons. It's as easy to own and maintain as a VW Beetle but runs in much cooler circles. This is my 1979 MGB and I love it. I have used it as a daily driver for the last 18 months and it's one of the most fun cars I've owned. I recently got a new car though, so it's time to sell this one so someone else can experience it. First things first, the engine is not in perfect condition, it has a hard time starting. However, I have a spare engine and transmission for this car that will be sold with it. Along with the spare engine and transmission, I have two spare doors, and 6 spare tires(5 with rims). I can provide pictures of all if needed. This is a showroom quality car that just needs a little engine work, but with a spare engine, that shouldn't be too hard. The paint job is a beautiful Racing Green, scratch-free, and looks like new. The leather convertible top is new, and when you put it down on a nice summer day for a cruise, you get a lot of looks. All in all this car has been great to me and I would love to sell it and pass it on to the next owner so they can begin their MG experience.

Up for auction is a very, very nice 1979 MGB with 4 speed manual transmission ( non-overdrive ). This is a low mileage car with only 64,320 miles and has been well cared for. The car has had a ton of work done to her and is ready to be driven and enjoyed. Mechanicals: The car runs like a dream! The engine compartment looks awesome. The car just had a tune up and oil change. About 1500 miles ago the following work was completed: new timing chain, complete new exhaust system, new complete clutch kit, new Webber carburetor and intake manifold, new brake master cylinder, new front brake hoses, new front brake pads, new hood insulation padding, new engine compartment seal, new trunk seal and a bunch of other stuff I just can't think of right now. The handles great and has new high quality Uniroyal " Tiger Paw" tires. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds great oil pressure.. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises from the transmission or the rear end. I would no hesitate to drive this car anywhere at this time. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, the blower fan works, horn works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand all of which are in working order at this time. Heck even the original clock works!! Interior: Is in very, very nice condition. Recent improvements included: new seat covers ( correct pattern ), new door panels, new door caps, new kick panels, new carpet kit, new inner door seals and new MG logo floor mats. Exterior: The car sports a like soft new top and new tires. The paint is fairly new and looks very good. All glass is original Triplex and is clear. The car sits nicely on the ground with no sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Note: there are 2 paint scratches that don't show up in the photos. One is just in front of the drivers side mirror and the other is to the right of the drivers side door handle. Hard Top: Yep the car even comes with a nice hard top. It is in over all good condition but could stand a good clean / buffing. Tops / Covers: The car does come with the high end and highly sought after top cover, Tonneau cover ( covers the full cockpit ) and a car cover. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire, jack , lug wrench and top / tonneau cover support rails. Underbody: As seen in the photos the car is rock solid and looks awesome. Manuals and Books: The car does come with and owners manual, repair manuals and a restoration guide book Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. With a massive aftermarket and knowledgeable enthusiast network, buying one is like going to summer camp. These are reliable, and easy-to-repair cars that are ideal for the hobbyists who likes to drive their hardware. This 1953 MG TD is an extremely nice example that's ready to take the long way home today. An MG TD represents the old world style of craftsmanship. There was a lot of Detroit iron being produced in the 1950s, but this roadster is proudly supported by an ash wood frame. Because of this, owing an MG stands out in the crowd, and this one even goes one step further. Most of these roadsters have either been painted British Racing Green or red. This one doesn't totally skip the crimson, but it uses it as an accent color on the wheels to complement the factory-spec black paint. These cool little roadsters are best for sunny day outings, but if the weather does turn wet, the folding roof and side wind deflectors will help keep your dry for the drive home. Inside the motto should be, "No radio. No windows. No problem." These MGs are a great lesson in purist motoring. A grippy steering wheel, clear gauges, and a manual transmission - that's all you get because that's all you need. Your senses will go into overload as the wind whips through the interior and you help create the wonderful soundtrack from the motor. Being a minimalist does not mean lacking in style. Attention is guaranteed when you park this British invasion among the big Detroit metal at car shows. This TD is especially nice as the red vinyl interior matches the painted red wheels on the exterior. The engine is a 1250 cc inline-four, and it helps the car really shine. It's an overhead valve unit with twin SU carburetors. The motor was built for you to go out and row through the gears of the four-speed transmission and get the most out of this little motor. Just like the legs on a little dog, the MG's engine has a peppy attitude that's happiest when it's kicking just about as fast as it can. The light body weight, and independent front suspension, all contribute to this sporting attitude. But to get the most fun out of this roadster, it requires you. That's what makes these MGs so popular, you are connected with the machine. This car needs you to get to the destination, and so when you arrive, it feels like an accomplishment. It's tough to deny yourself this classic fun when it's this affordable. Even more importantly, there are plenty of people who will see the investment potential, and so it won't last long in our showroom. Up for auction is a my very, very nice 1969 MGB with its original engine ( this is a numbers matching car ). It is a 4 speed with a non-overdrive transmission. I purchased the car to use as my weekend lake car but due to unforeseen boat repairs I must pass this little girl on to the next person. I have spent well over $3000 on the car recently so please take time to read the auction in full as there are very few if any 1969 MGB's out there in this condition. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Mechanicals: The car runs great. The car was recently serviced which included: new points, new plugs, new ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, oil change, new oil filter, new air filters, coolant fluid changed, all fluids topped off, both carburetors ( front and rear ) rebuilt, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new fuel sending unit, new speedometer cable, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder fluid hose and some other things I just can't think of right now . The car sounds great and it should given I just had the exhaust header replaced and the entire exhaust system from the header to the tail pipe replaced. Also, last week the car had 4 new high quality radial tires installed. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The engine is "drum tight " with no signs of any fluid drips anywhere under the car at this time. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises what so ever from the transmission or the rear end. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition with no signs of the dreaded Lucas electrical Gremlin on this car. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, blower fan works and the radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand. Interior: Is in very, very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note: About 12 to 14 months ago nearly everything on the interior was replaced. Exterior: The car looks great but still driver quality and should not be considered a "show" car. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded MGB "Leaning" issues. Look at how well the body, hood, trunk and doors fit. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are laser straight. All glass is original Triplex glass in very nice condition. Also, less than a year ago the front bumper, front grill and rear bumper where replaced ( they look fabulous!! ). Underbody: The frame and inner sills / rocker panels looks very good but at some point the floors where replaced ( common on these cars and just about any car that's 42 years old ). While I'm not and expert in my opinion the floor repairs where done to a very good standard. Note: I don't have any photos of the underbody at this time but I'll see about getting some and posting then to the auction Soft Top: The soft top is brand new and was professionally fitted and installed last month. Tops / Covers: The car does come with the high end and highly sought after top cover, Tonneau cover ( covers the full cockpit ) and a car cover as well. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire and wire wheel. As you can see the trunk has a new carpet kit installed and does come with a "MG" logo spare tire cover. Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time.
