Up for grabs is a nice 1976 MG Midget convertible. It is a restoration project, as the engine and transmission are not in the car, and the interior needs to be restored. With the car you will receive TWO engines and TWO transmissions, as well as a manual and a number of parts. The body and undercarriage are solid! The odometer shows 12,281 but only has five digits. I am unsure as to whether the odometer has rolled over or not. This will be a great restoration platform for an original restoration, or a toy hot rod of some kind. I would encourage anyone to come and take a look prior to bidding if you are able. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, and will need to be towed to its destination. This is my 1979 MGB and I love it. I have used it as a daily driver for the last 18 months and it's one of the most fun cars I've owned. I recently got a new car though, so it's time to sell this one so someone else can experience it. First things first, the engine is not in perfect condition, it has a hard time starting. However, I have a spare engine and transmission for this car that will be sold with it. Along with the spare engine and transmission, I have two spare doors, and 6 spare tires(5 with rims). I can provide pictures of all if needed. This is a showroom quality car that just needs a little engine work, but with a spare engine, that shouldn't be too hard. The paint job is a beautiful Racing Green, scratch-free, and looks like new. The leather convertible top is new, and when you put it down on a nice summer day for a cruise, you get a lot of looks.All in all this car has been great to me and I would love to sell it and pass it on to the next owner so they can begin their MG experience.

MG Midget 1974. 1275cc and 4 speed transmission.Cat starts and runs great, smooth running, great oil pressure. No weird sounds or noises. Transmission shifts fine in all gears. Brakes seem fine and stops car well. Tires have decent tread.Interior is in excellent shape for 40 years old- no major rips or tears.Body work is fair to good. There are signs of rust in A post and sills. Floors and all major parts are rust free and in excellent condition. Paint has been touched up in a few spots and is starting to fade- again 40 year old paint.... Trunk floor is good and has spare tire and factory jacket/ tool kit.Soft top is torn at stitching.Electrically it's not bad. Turn signals are not working presently- fuse lasts about 1000 miles then blows. Is missing a switch or two. But a complete whole dash comes as a spare. Windshield also has bulls-eye, but a good used glass and frame comes with car.Rear shocks have dampness on them and will need repair - have a set of cores to send away .Many more parts comes with car including early bumpers.Car comes with a lot of paper work from perverse owner showing $6k in maintenance from about 1999 to about 2010.This car is not perfect, but is a great opportunity to buy a classic which is very usable and can be driven while carry out work.Inspections are welcomed.
