1990 Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon. Roomy, comfortable, and smooth, the last of the big wagons, this Mercury is loaded with power everything, leather, dual exhaust, 3.55 posi rear, 5.0 l v-8 gets 19-20 mpg on highway; 14-15 around town. Never been hit. Driver's airbag. It does drip oil and has a couple of spots of surface rust, and a small exhaust leak. A/C controls act wonky sometimes. New alternator. 16" police car wheels and tires at 70%; front and rear sway bars; new brakes, Bilstein shocks, tune-up and Mobil 1. Only 75,000 original miles. Beautiful pale blue with woodgrain. Rear seats fold down to haul stuff. Drive it home.

Do not buy this car if you do not like attention! Guaranteed to get smiles, waves, thumbs-ups, and comments at gas stations. We've even had notes left on the windshield. Not many of these on the road anymore, and I was happy to help this one survive a bit longer. Purchased 5 years ago and fixed it up a bit for a daily-driver for my wife and kids. (Yes, this has the kid-favorite "jump seats" in the back, which can be folded down along with the back seat for plenty of storage… I've routinely carried my mountain bike back there). Maaco paint job is just a couple years old, with custom real wood veneer (Cherry, stained & varnished) accents along the rockers and tailgate. The good: classic wagon (you'll hear "Family Truckster" comments from total strangers)seats 75.0 V8 motor (302); AOD overdrive tranny runs like a sewing machineplush leather seats LS model was top-of-the line: auto headlights, auto temp control, opera lights, cornering lights, etcnot too high mileage for 30 year-old carnew heater core (that was not a fun job)aftermarket sound system (CD, aux input, 6x9s in the rear, hidden amp, remote) The bad: classic "old-car leaky"; drips when parked A/C doesn't work — I prefer windows down on these old cars, so never even looked into it (fuse? motor? compressor? don't know)headliner starting to droop a bitbottom cushion of back seat torn; we use a color-coordinated Mexican blanket (looks great)driver's door needs to be locked with key (all other doors lock with power)wood accents starting to peel up in a couple of places — easy to fix in the summer temps when more pliable Located in Golden, CO. Options include power windows (only one works but I have three brand new lock motors that need to be installed) power locks, A/C, tilt steering wheel, illuminated exterior locks, cruise control, digital clock, rear facing 3rd row seating, power seats, luggage rack, bumper rub strips, rear window defrost, aluminum wheels, side body moldings, rocker moldings, tinted glass, and a few other options listed on the original window sticker. The wagon runs and drives excellent and is what you would expect for a low mileage car: tight steering, smooth ride, strong engine etc.. The exterior isn't perfect and looks flawless from 10 feet away. As you can see the bottoms of the doors have rust. The tailgate and the passenger front suffered the worst rust on the whole car. Otherwise the body panels are solid and pretty straight. The original white paint is a little thin on the roof and hood. You can see in a few spots it has been buffed through to the primer, but only in a few small areas. The front bumper has a couple small blemishes in the chrome which I have photographed. The wood grain is in pretty good shape overall but has some missing decal on some of the body molding. The doors shut perfectly. All of the glass appears to be original. This car was never in an accident and retains the original body panels and finish. The interior is beautiful, the rear seats looks like no one ever used them. The front seats are also in excellent condition. No cracks in the dash, no issues with the gauges no functioning. The steering wheel isn't cracked, the tilt wheel is tight, the radio isn't all cut apart everything was maintained to be original and its in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect. It is difficult to find these in good condition, especially with documented low miles and with original paperwork. It will be difficult finding another with this combination for sale anywhere. The wagon runs and drives excellent and is what you would expect for a low mileage car: tight steering, smooth ride, strong engine etc.. The exterior isn't perfect and looks flawless from 10 feet away. As you can see the bottoms of the doors have rust. The tailgate and the passenger front suffered the worst rust on the whole car. Otherwise the body panels are solid and pretty straight. The original white paint is a little thin on the roof and hood. You can see in a few spots it has been buffed through to the primer, but only in a few small areas. The front bumper has a couple small blemishes in the chrome which I have photographed. The wood grain is in pretty good shape overall but has some missing decal on some of the body molding. The doors shut perfectly. All of the glass appears to be original. This car was never in an accident and retains the original body panels and finish. The interior is beautiful, the rear seats looks like no one ever used them. The front seats are also in excellent condition. No cracks in the dash, no issues with the gauges no functioning. The steering wheel isn't cracked, the tilt wheel is tight, the radio isn't all cut apart everything was maintained to be original and its in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect. It is difficult to find these in good condition, especially with documented low miles and with original paperwork. It will be difficult finding another with this combination for sale anywhere. I have a recent estate find with only 51,600 miles, this 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Colony Park Station Wagon is in very good condition. It recently went through a tune up and mechanicals are in good working order. It was purchased new in 1991 and driver 26,733 miles until it was traded in during March of 1995 at Don McAuliffe Buick of Villa Park. The 2nd owner bought it and drove it sparingly for the next 19 years until I purchased it with 51,433 miles. It has been stored inside and covered. It is a great example of the last full size station wagon the Ford Motor Company produced. I have a copy of the original title, bill of sale from the 2nd owner and oil change window sticker documenting the miles. All the power windows work as they should including the rear power window. It has a switch on the dash as well as a special key that operates the window from the rear door. Cruise control, intermittent wipers, sentential lights, power locks, dual powers seats, power antenna and all interior and exterior lights work. The car rides very well and handles excellent. The paint has been well waxed over the years and the wood decals are in great shape with minimal wear or fading. The interior is in excellent condition. I was surprised to find the interior of a station wagon in this good of condition. The leather seats are supple and soft. The rear seat and third row look like they have been barely used. I could not find any stains on the brown carpet or seats. This car was not smoked in nor does it look like it was eaten in either. Typically in a station wagon, you will see the rear cargo area has scratches in the metal surface and along the plastic side areas. This one has barely any. I was shocked when looking at the condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should. The dual exhaust is in good condition and makes no noise. The engine sounds good with no ticks, knocks, or smoke. The car drives straight and the brakes respond well. All the brake lines have been replaced within the last five years. The rear three way door works effortlessly and the door looks like brand new on the inside. It appears to be the original spare still in the rear cargo area. I am unsure of the age of the tires, but they have good tread and appear to be in safe, driving condition. Here are the cons: Since it has been a mid-west car there is some rust on the rear quarter panels. It is limited to the lower pillars between the rear doors and wheel well. It is also a little at the bottom of the rear quarters. It is not completely rotted out. The previous owner did some preventative maintenance to the lower panels behind the wheels and it looks to have stopped it from moving forward. Also, there is slight bubbling behind the wood grain decals at the same location. Otherwise, the rest of the car is rust free. The under carriage also has surface rust, but nothing has rusted through. There is minor corrosion on the wheels where the clear has cracked, but they are still in presentable condition. The radio does work, but only on the AM station. I was able to get the FM station to work once, but that was it. Also, the air is not ice cold. The temperature control unit's fan and location switches do work. The front fenders, doors (including rear), and rest of the exterior of the car is in great condition. Of course there are the minor nicks and scratches that are expected in a 23 year old car, but it is a nice car. I've included pictures of the car, but it does not do it justice. This is a must see in person! I've listed it with an aggressive 'Buy-It Now' price, but am open to offers. If it wasn't for the minor rust, I'd be asking a lot more. I haven't seen an example like this on E-Bay in a long while in overall good shape like this one. I accept cash upon pick-up and am not willing to take a check. This car must be picked up or I may drive it within a reasonable distance to the Chicago land area after the buyer comes to inspect the vehicle. I will not drive it to you to inspect. Payment and transfer of the car's title is expected within seven calendar days of the close of the auction. It is being sold with a clear Illinois title and I will provide a bill of sale too. 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park LS Woody Wagon 5.0 V8 Fuel Injected engine, automatic transmission. The wagon was garaged most of its life and has minimul rust – small spot on rear quarter shown in photo and also a bit under the spare tire. All original paint with only minor damage to front fender that is barely visible – see photo. The paint shines nicely but there are plenty of dings, marks, scratches etc., that don’t show up in the photos. The car looks better in pictures so I encourage anyone interested to see the car in person so there are no disappointments. Perfect surf wagon or pull your camper/trailer – hitch and light connections on bumper – see photo. Low mileage, just 87,162! Starts right up and runs great with no smoke and shifts strong. The only thing I noticed was the car could use a wheel alignment since there is a vibration felt in the steering wheel while driving. The brakes stop well but might need pads or adjustments. Looks very retro like wagons from the 60s Country Squires and Colony Parks but has all the modern technology for a dependable cruiser. Most of the interior is very nice, dash looks great, no tears in the seats or headliner. Carpet is original but pretty dirty and would benefit from a good cleaning.
