Lasting Luxury…. Mercedes – Benz 420 SEL The Mercedes-Benz W126 is a series of S-Class automobile manufactured by Mercedes-Benz between 1979 and 1992. Premiering in September 1979 as the successor to the W116 line, the W126 was the second generation to officially bear that prestigious designation, an abbreviation for the German Sonderklasse or "special class." The 116.965 engine was introduced in 1986 for the revised S-Class. It featured 9.0:1 compression and had from 204-231 PS (150-170 kW; 201-228 hp) depending on year and export market. All engines were mated to the Mercedes-Benz 4G-Tronic transmission. In North America, this engine was only used in 420SEL models featuring 204 PS (150 kW; 201 hp.) @ 5200rpm and 310 N·m (229 lb./ft.) @ 3600rpm. I am pleased to present this 420 SEL comes in a very nice done believe to be the original Gray Pearl maintained very well, with the matching Gray leather interior is extremely clean and comes with all of the prestige and power that comes along with every Mercedes. This comes with all the standard features that are all still fully functional like power windows, and locks, as well as seats and actually powered headrest, this car still has the according to owner original first aid kit behind the back seat! The only none believed to be original accessory is the updated radio that sounds great and will keep you rolling down the street. This is a great car that runs and rides wonderfully and would be a great addition to any garage! YOU ARE LOOKING AT A PRETTY CLEAN MERZ 420 SEL THAT RUNS AND DRIVES SUPERB!! THIS CAR LOOKS AMAZING AND GRABS ATTENTION EVERY PLACE WE GO!! IT SHOWS VERY WELL!! REAL PICS NO FILTER OR TRICKS WITH CAMERA!! The exterior is about an 8/10 few minor flaws in paint. The exterior is in pretty good shape as well. Engine runs awesome!! I drove this car over 150 miles last week and it rode amazing! The previous owner was a professor who routinely kept INCREDIBLE maintenance on this thing!! I have records over 15 yrs of history showing he spent well over $12K on maintenance. From oil changes to transmission replacement. The records will go with vehicle. The flaws: radio is inoperable as usual, few scuff marks in front of vehicle, looks like paint spilled in back of trunk, a piece of the chrome missing in grill. BIG issue is the back left door will not open. I FEEL MY PRICE IS FAIR... A COLLECTORS GEM THAT NEEDS JUST A BIT OF TLC!! PRICE REFLECTS WORK NEEDED...

Up for sale is a 1988 420SEL. It has many new parts and was restored earlier this year. This car is 100% road ready and looks excellent. New paint job earlier this year with PPG paint. The chrome bumper trims and grill were color matched. This was not just a quick respray. Suspension has been gone through and it has new ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks and springs. New brake pads and rotors. It has a new exhaust from the exhaust manifold back (new catalytic converter also). Tranny rebuild before it was parked back in 2013. A/C blows cold. It has brand new tires on e55 rims. (Front - 245/40/18 Pirelli P7 Cinturato & Rear - 285/35/18 Pirelli P Zero Nero). Wheel centers were color matched to the car. Lowered on H&R springs. The Palomito interior is in great shape for its age. There are no tears on the seats or door panels. It has an upgraded Pioneer radio. All gauges work as they should. All maintenance is up to date car runs as it did back in 1988. An overall beautiful car gets compliments and turns heads everywhere I go, come check it out.
