1987 Mercedes 300D turbo diesel with automatic transmission. Converted to run on vegetable oil using a 2-tank Greasecar kit with additional modifications including fuel injector line heaters and adjustable fuel return line. The dual fuel system runs on regular diesel fuel or vegetable oil. The tires are like new - they hardly have any miles on them. It has a recent alternator, new battery and a new fuel pump. I recently had the fuel injectors out for service and upgraded some fuel system components. The engine starts instantly when you turn the key. The odometer stopped working soon after I bought it at around 165K miles and I estimate it has about 225K miles now. The paint on the top surfaces of the car is oxidized. The windshield has a crack on the passenger side. The A/C does not work.

1982 Mercedes 300D. Well taken care of. I daily drive the car, averaging 30 mpg or so). Tons of receipts. New white wall tires. Lowered 2". New triple chrome factory wheels. Clear side marker lights. CD player with all new interior speakers. Morningwood steering wheel. Reprinted 5 years ago (shows well, not perfect). No rust. New AC compressor retrofitted to 134A. Newer exhaust. Replaced glow plugs. New OEM starter. No oil leaks when parked. Replaced battery. CONS: tachometer works intermittently like most (easy fix/wire according to forums). Mileage counter just recently stopped counting (speedometer works, diy on forums as well). Rear glass will leak a little under heavy rains can be re sealed. Dash pad has cracks (covered with dash cover).

This 300D has been my daily driver since 2008. I have done a complete work through of the entire car which is referenced in the picture of the excel spreadsheet maintenance tracker. Although the mileage is almost at 229k, any professional diesel mechanic would tell you that with all the preventative and preemptive work that I've done or had done, this car will outlast most brand new gas burning cars on showroom floors today! For a fraction of the cost of a new car, you get to cruise around in a classic Mercedes at 26-27 miles per gallon while feeling safe in this full, heavy gauge steel body that doesn't have any rust. Here are some highlights of maintenance items completed: -Compression test in 2009: all 5 cylinders greater than 300psi (excellent) -New Timing Chain and Tensioner -New Valve Stem Seals -New Front Crank Seal -All gaskets and O-rings in engine compartment -All fluids/filters replaced regularly -All new rubber components throughout entire drivetrain -All new joints/bearings for entire steering and suspension system -New Paint in 2009 (shows some light sun damage now that would probably buff out) -A/C converted to R-134 with new compressor in 2010 (needs a recharge and new drier but works) -Rear seat reupholstered and front seats re-stuffed in 2012 -New front windshield -New front and rear windshield seals and all 4 doors and trunk seals all new-Rebuilt front brake calipers, new master cylinder, new brakelines and fluid flush/bleed in September 2015 There is more but too much for me to keep typing. I can provide more info if you like but you really just need to come drive this to appreciate it. I have a whole binder of receipts that all reflect the work annotated in the excel tracker picture. I don't really want to get rid of it but I have two other Mercedes diesels that take too much of my time plus the military told me I have to move so I offer you this deal. Thanks and have a good one!

This is probably the best '84 300 D Turbo on Ebay. I have had the privilege to help a guy sell this car, he used to own a repair shop in Norman OK for years. He's retired now and not in the greatest of health. It was driven by his wife every day, and if it needed something he did it. He also won awards at Pebble beach and other shows for his cars. All I did to get this car ready to take pictures was wash the dust off of it, no high dollar detail job to hide flaws. The engine compartment was very clean for a diesel. The tires might have 100 miles on them and it was just serviced, fresh interstate battery. The Becker cassette radio even works. EVERYTHING works on this car. If you are looking for a classic that will run for another 250k miles come get this one.

Hi there! For sale is my little Baby! I am looking for a new project. This car has been a deam of a car. We have replaced the door bottoms due to rust, which apparently was pretty common as the weep holes weren't there or were clogged. I have replaced the temperature controls on the dash, (almost $2,000) which is an updated system. New paint, replaced rear bumper as it corroded, and some other minor repairs. Over all the car runs and drives fantastic. I am certainly going to buy another project car. Tires are about 30 to 40 percent. Transmission is normal operating for a 300D (W123). Interior is great. Ther is one mark on the seat that is about the size of 2 dimes next to eachother, that is just a discoloring on rear seat. Some cracking but not huge on a couple pieces on the wood, but just the clear coat. The driver side door storage is cracked in one spot. aside from that everything is great! I had a professional vintage car appraiser give me an appraisal. He said it was worth $13,000 - $15,000. Please feel free to ask any questions. Have a great day! Steve P.S. Please feel free to call me with any questions. I am best reached at 715-212-6434. Please do not email. Thank you!

For sale by private seller is a stunning all original 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300DT. Estate vehicle with 1 OWNER until 2012. 77386 actual miles (no, the odometer is not broken). I have only driven the vehicle a little over 1500 miles in the past 3 years I've owned it, otherwise it just sits in my garage. Every mechanic has told me it is the nicest one they have seen in a very long time. CALL/TEXT 424-610-1780 Some facts about the car: - No rust anywhere. - No accidents ever.- Paint looks fabulous and has great shine. - All chrome trim and seals are in excellent shape and do not leak- Starts right up on literally the first crank, you can barely hear the starter turn. - All electrical and mechanical options work properly (Tach, sunroof, antenna etc)- A/C is ice cold and converted to 134 refrigerant- Fresh service just performed in June with oil change, diesel fuel filters, air filter, new brakes and tires. All service receipts going back to 1989 will be included in sale. - Just detailed by professional shop 08/26/2015 claybar, polish and wax. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car and you will not find any of the "typical" things wrong with it like my mechanic has told me about the usual 123 cars coming into his shop. Clean California title in hand. If the new owner would like to have the vehicle shipped, I can work that into my schedule and could knock the price down a little bit to help with the cost of shipping. Only selling because I purchased a new E250 bluetec and my wife is getting on me about keeping it.

I'm looking for a new home for my beloved 300D. An ideal buy for a diesel/w123 aficionado who would like to buy something in good condition and preserve it / restore it to car show standards. This car starts and runs smooth, better than most modern cars in my opinion. The exterior is in a good condition with original paint from more than three decades ago and the interior + leather seats are in a refreshingly great condition compared to most cars from this age. It is not a typical rust bucket that you will find on the east coast. I spent over 3 months looking for a 300D last year and I can assure you this was one of the best I came across and I made a trip to CT for this one. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested or have any questions. I would appreciate if only serious buyers get in touch.I have repair manuals (worth ~$75 value) that I'm willing to give away with the car. I also have a set of brand new Bilstein shock absorbers (front and rear) that I can sell for a discount.

I am sadly selling my beautiful Smoke Silver Mercedes, with the rare, black MB Tex interior that looks new. This car is incredibly reliable and has a great story. It, and another like it, was purchased new by an unmarried dentist with practices in two states. He would work up north during the summers, and come back to his native North Carolina in the winters. The dentist drove each car whenever he was at the particular house each was kept. He retired a few years ago, and had both cars in NC. He had them serviced at a well known Mercedes shop, when the shop owner and lead tech convinced him to sell it, so the shop could not only enjoy it, but also keep their "old diesel skills" sharp as they replaced the typical w123 chassis parts that tend to fail with age.Over the next year, the shop completed all service you would expect and more. All fluids were flushed and changed (oil, coolant, transmission, brakes, differential, fuel tank). Of course, the oil, transmission, air, and fuel filters were changed (and I have changed the fuel filters during subsequent oil changes). All V belts were replaced. The brakes were replaced, including a new master cylinder. The door lock actuators and vacuum lines were replaced. The shop used a smoke machine to track any other leak in the vacuum lines and replaced those, plus any that seemed ready for replacement. The fuel sending unit and exhaust hangers were replaced. The A/C was converted to R134. The shop installed a new power antenna. A new battery and four new Michelins were added at 107,000 miles, which is when I bought it. I replaced a rear door strap. This car starts right up, every time, runs like new, and it is very dependable. All of the gauges work, with the exception of the dashboard clock (but I have the parts to fix it). This car needs the A/C recharged, but I would drive it across the country if I needed to.Since I have had it, I researched everything about this car and purchased a ton of parts. I am handy with a wrench, having owned several other classic vehicles and motorcycles, and I was planning to proactively replace some items to ensure trouble free, long-distance driving for another 30 years. I really planned on keeping this forever, but my wife has convinced me to get something newer, so I now have a 1990 350sdl. I purchased, but have not installed, top quality replacement parts, maintenance items, and servicing tools. These include OEM transmission and valve cover gaskets, transmission filters, Bosch glow plugs, Monark Fuel injector nozzles (already balanced), several oil and fuel (primary and secondary) filters, any and all vacuum connections you can think of, several of each type of fuses (not like blade fuses), signal light bulbs, a diesel fuel nozzle pressure tester, engine mounts, a water pump, valve adjustment wrenches (I used them to check and adjust the valves already), a vacuum line tester, a glow chamber reamer tool, seat net repair kit, a new fuel tank screen and screen removal tool, new fuel injector lines, new vacuum lines, various service manuals, and a whole bunch of other things that do not come to mind immediately. I spent about $1,900 on these items and the buyer will have the option to take them with the 300D for a substantially reduced price. I also have a set of 15" Mercedes-Benz rims.I add a few ounces of 2-stroke oil to the fuel tank at every fill up, since the ultra-low sulfer diesel fuel that has been used since 2007 does not provide the same level of lubrication as the earlier fuel did. I also add an ounce of Naptha to the fuel tank at each fill up to ensure any microbial growth in the station's tanks do not survive in my fuel tank. I get a pretty consistent 28 mpg in a mix of city and highway driving. This car does not appear to have ever been in any accidents. The title and autocheck are clear. In fact, the autocheck gives it a very high rating compared to its peers. The paint has the typical age spots, minor dings, and oxidation. I had a quote to make it look like new for $1,200 from a reputable body shop - not a chain. There are a couple of cracks in the dashboard, and the right dash pod (vent) slips out of place because it needs to be replaced, they can be sourced for $25. The A/C needs to be recharged and two buttons on the A/C controller do not work. Please contact me with any questions or to set up a time to see it

I am selling my 1983 Mercedes 300D turbodiesel. Ivory/Tan. Car is in excellent running condition. Good: Runs Well, shifts well, starts well, most electronics and functions are working. New stereo, speakers and working electric antenna. All electric windows work but left rear only works from back window switch. (Needs new front switch I think) Heater works but sometimes needs to be shut off/on to get full heat. Tires are brand new, paint is in great shape. interior has a few tears on the back seat but still really good. Carpet is good, trim is decent . All lights, turn signals, brake lights, wipers, washer/motors work fine. Bad: Cruise control does not work, sunroof motor works but needs realignment, greasing etc. Power locks work, but when connected there is a vacuum air leak in the front right door (i think) so it is currently bypassed. Might need a new diff soon as it is making some noise and the brakes may need new pads soon. I may get this done before selling though... This is a great little strong running reliable car. It starts up and drives fine and gets you where you want to go and gets excellent gas mileage. It just needs a few TLC projects done at some point.

Right now there is a SLIGHT injector stick on idle. Very slight. We will put diesel cleaner in the tank to try to eliminate this but it is negligible and will eventually fix itself as the car is run.We will recharge the AC system so that it is operating cold. You can buy it now in the condition described above.Once we spend more time on this car and have all power accessories operating like new the price will increase to reflect our added expense, if any.
