FL clear title March 1972 born date Highlights and why more desirable - notice only early 72 cars have the low bumper not covering that smile and carry over engine from 71 so higher HP. 335 500ft tq. Early 1972 Lincoln MARK IV little over 40,000 original miles has the higher HP 460 sporting Moondust blue metallic exterior paint and dark blue leather with a white top. Not as common as other colors seen in these beautiful pieces of history. This car was picked up by a family from the original owner. His aunt/uncle had since new, I have the owners Manuel, brochure and other papers. The car was highly optioned above the base Lincoln MARK IV. The paint shows well in the pictures but has some blistering on the hood and trunk, the car has lauqer paint and not to bad in dim light or 10ft. Tires are basically new, the a.c. does work but has a leak, and the antenna isint going down, i havent attended to any of that yet, might be working soon ,everything else works. The car has new parts and maintanced items that have been done. You can hop in the car fire it up and cruze down the road with no worries of mechanical problems. Interior is in very great shape with a crack on the driver side door panel plastic area, headliner and everything else appears to be gorgeous. There is no rot or crazy rust, or any real rust I can see. Now all cars have surface rust in areas as we know but this car is nice. I will upload more pictures later. Finished in a white pearl, this handsome car certainly looks expensive in every way and is just a little bit more interesting than the original basic white. Fit and finish are good, but you have to remember that these were hand-built cars, so they aren't going to be perfect no matter how much money you throw at them. The chrome that is on the car is excellent and experts will spot that little scoop on the quarter panel, indicative of factory A/C living within. The bespoke interior is black and white leather that is impeccably tasteful in every way. The upholstery appears to be entirely original and in good condition with normal wear. The instrument panel was influenced by both aircraft and clocks, with wonderfully detailed dials and levers for the HVAC controls, making for a very unique driving experience. A tachometer was standard equipment, more a curiosity than anything else in 1956, and the lovely textured face of the dash still has a bright finish. Power windows, power seats, and power locks were part of the package, and as I mentioned, the factory A/C is a very desirable option. The original AM radio is still in the dash, too! The trunk, even with the A/C system tucked behind the front panel, is truly massive and has been nicely upholstered in black carpet for a luxurious look. The 368 cubic inch V8 was ostensibly the same as those powering With a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust, it's effortless but there's also a lot of mass to move, so while it's not a drag racer, it does have a feeling of inevitability and there are few finer highway cruisers. The engine was rebuilt to stock specs save for an electronic ignition system, and the beautifully ornate valve covers and gold engine enamel signify something special is under the hood. It features a proper air cleaner, a reproduction battery, and those wild exhaust manifolds that dump out through the inner fenders. A 3-speed automatic transmission and 3.07 gears ensure that it's comfortable at any speed and the suspension is so smooth that you hear bumps more than feel them Some minor things to point out... It has a small dent in the rear bumper and a small part of the chrome on the front of the bumper damaged. (See photos) Also a blemish or two in the paint. Nothing major to speak of. Restoration was completed in 2002 with receipts totaling over $170k! This is Bella, she is one of 11,060 Lincoln Continental Coupes made in 1967. She has a rebuilt 462 engine. The C-6 Transmission has ben overhauled, new Dynomax dual exhaust, New inner and outer tie rods and centerline. These are just the major things that I have done over the past 5 years. The car runs and drives Great! she has a straight body and all the trim and moldings are intact. No cracks or chips in the windshield. These are the Few downsides. Number one the dash has ben removed[but is intact}. There is a small rust spot under the driver side door, And a crack in the rear taillight. selling this for a good friend here in sarasota,fl.we are in the AACA car club together. this is a 1963 lincoln convertible with large V8 and auto trans. with only 82,905 miles on the speedo. This lincoln runs,drives,and stops as it should with a well maintained car. with new suspension to get the correct ride height. The white paint is very good looks to be a repaint done very well.with no rust at all.the chrome is very good for almost 60 years old. there is a small ding ft right fender trim see pic. also some small pitting on some of the pot medal just to let you know but not bad at all.The interior is very good condition and was redone in high grade vinyl for long durability. things that i see dont work are the radio and a/c blows but not cold. overall condition,this is a very nice driving car very solid,I would say to rate it -2 to a +3 according to old car report,with 1 being the highest.If you have questions please call 941 -232 -0298 and as always if you wish to look at the car it is here in sarasota,fl.also if you would like to buy it and we can hold it for a month or 2 untill the weather gets better we may work that out too.thanks for looking
