In 1983 Leonard bought the Lincoln at Downeys Subaru in Centralia. Downeys was also a Texaco gas station. We have the bill of sale and mileage statement. Anyway the Lincoln had 51,920 miles at the time. So you can see it was not driven much. Leonard died and Patrick inherited the Lincoln and before he drove it to Seattle he had new tires and a battery installed. We had it serviced and safety checked so its ready to go. We also just had new mufflers installed. Its clean and runs and drives very well. Air does not blow cold. The head light vacuum system does not hold vacuum very long and the head lights will open. Up for sale is a restored 1965 Lincoln continental. Complete Professional Bare metal paint job, done right at a body shop, base/clear, cut & polished(25k+).   All new black (real)leather interior,  custom made by macs upholstery in Ballard. every single chrome piece, inside and out has been replated, and all Stainless trim pieces repolished.  plating/polishing work was Done at Fraser valley plating in Canada, highest quality. New completely rebuilt motor, rebuilt transmission. All new suspension, new brakes, new tires, new hard lines, rubber, hoses, weather-stripping. literally everything.  The list is endless, many, thousands of dollars invested. In the 60k range.  Please make no mistake almost every single mechanical part is brand new or rebuilt.  Currently it's sitting on original steels with coker whitewalls and restored hubcaps, but the black 20"wheelset with toyo proxes in the photos are included in the sale, those have 0 miles on them. The car was completely stripped down, every nut and bolt, and to bare metal. I never got to the very final tweaking and adjusting.  All the major restoration and hard work was finished about 5 years ago. And it's just been sitting since then. However it's not entirely finished, there is a short list of things that need to be done to have it perfect, it runs and drives, but needs some tweaking and finishing touches. And it hasn't been run in years, only has about 500 miles since the restoration. Here is the list of work I can think of off the top of my head. The interior is completed with exception to the rear door cup chrome pieces which I have.  1.  the transmission is new and rebuilt, by Seattle transmission, however the linkage needs to be adjusted as it won't shift into reverse. But goes into drive and shifts and functions flawlessly.  2. The a/c system needs to be flushed, and converted to 134. With the new motor came a new compressor with the belt system. I never completed the conversion.   3. Some dash switches will need to be sourced. There is almost no aftermarket for this car so all the switches are original, and some are worn beyond use.  I can't remember which ones. But some shopping on eBay should remedy the situation.  4. the brakes need to be adjusted, I believe it's the proportioning valve. It's a completly brand new system and it needs to get dialed in Those are main projects. I can't think of any other projects that would require attention.  Some small tinkering here and there. But understand, almost everything on the car is brand new, new hard lines, new rubber, 99% of the mechanics are new or professionally rebuilt.  it really is a complete restoration. It's a ton of car for the money.  Honestly, I just don't have time to finish it and enjoy it. Current insurance appraised value is 28,000. I'm asking 25,000.00 OBO, Please understand more than twice that was put into this car to bring it to this level. Note though, this car has just been sitting in storage, I haven't started it in years, it has stabil in the fuel. I will charge the battery, and start it up for you to pick up. I drove it back here from seattle, it's quite road worthy.

Dave Bruski 888-558-9474 13710 NE 20th Street Bellevue Washington 98005 ? ? ? ? 1956 Continental Mk II, Custom Show Car Vehicle Information VIN: C56C2238 Stock: 16953 Mileage: Color: Black Trans: Automatic Engine: 427FE V8 482ci MPG: Drivetrain: RWD ? ? ? ? 1 of 16 ? View Large Images ? ? Description 1956 Continental Mark II - Absolutely Amazing! Nearly every part on this car is custom machined, chromed or polished. The underside is painted and is as clean as the topside; everything is finished, including the welds being sanded to smooth finish. Craftsmanship throughout is to the utmost highest level and is displayed with every component of this gorgeous Lincoln. Found stock in West Covina, a suburb of Los Angeles. This custom project started with new underpinnings (steering and suspension) and an updated engine while keeping much of the exterior stock. Development on the 126-inch wheelbase chassis began with the installation of a Kugel Komponents 4.11:1 independent rear suspension system. The chassis had to be reworked out back to accept this rear end, and A-arms had to be fabricated for the front to complete the custom IFS setup. Click here for undercarriage photos Rack-and-pinion steering also went in, along with Wilwood disc brakes for each corner of the car. In keeping with the look of the original, 52-spoke, 17-inch, Tru-Spoke chrome wire spoke wheels were wrapped with a new set of white walls. The Mark IIs were originally equipped with the 368 Lincoln Y-block, which wasn’t enough for this project, so the stock engine was replaced with a Pro-built 427 FE from Robert Pond Motorsports. Robert Pond began casting his own version of the Ford FE engine block a number of years back and, from the outside, it looks original (except Pond's is all aluminum) but internally he improved on the design. Bored and stroked to 482 cubes, the big V-8 was assembled with a SCAT crank and rods, and uses a COMP Cams camshaft and CP pistons. The water pump and aluminum heads came from Edelbrock, and ignition is delivered via MSD controls. The headers and exhaust were made by Ronnie Koonce with polished stainless steel and were also custom fabricated for this Continental. For fuel delivery, it has a Dynatek classic fuel injection system with eight stacks feeding four Weber IDA-style throttle bodies. At about 4,800 pounds a low-ratio gear was selected to complement the 4L80E transmission that was hooked up to the FE. The 482 produced 642 hp on the dyno before being installed. That's 482ci of big block FE performance! Robert Pond Motorsports assembled the all-aluminum motor with their aftermarket FE block, boring and stroking to get the required cubes. A SCAT crank and rods were used, with a set of aluminum Edelbrock heads and a Dynatek injection system (the IDAs are throttle bodies). The V8 is mated to a 4L80E transmission with an adaptor and shifts with a Compushift computer-controlled system from Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford, TX. The car's body has custom smooth floorplans, in addition, custom inner fender wells designed and fabricated to help conceal the car's wiring. (The custom fuel tank is also concealed along with its wiring and lines.) Not cutting any corners the body was chemically stripped, the original joints re-leaded, then the body electro-plated before Dan Stacey and Brian Hatton completed the bodywork. Once done, Hatton sprayed the car using DuPont paint. Inside the car the master power brake cylinder and booster were hidden under the dash in order to clean up the clutter. And though power brakes were in 98 percent of the Mark IIs built in 1956, they didn't have what was added here: a power-activated emergency brake. A custom-built metal console (to accommodate the floor shift) and custom dash update the interior without making it look too "new." Bucket seats from a Mark VIII Continental were covered in red leather by Sandra Gregory and Chuck Bennett and the same material was used on the dash, headliner, and custom rear buckets. Controls for the Hot Rod Air system are in the console just below the Kenwood head unit, and Classic Instrument gauges fit neatly in front of a Billet Specialties steering wheel. Power activated emergency brake. Power windows, including vent windows, power locks, and power brakes and steering, - no expense spared.Click here for undercarriage photosTo discuss contact our eBay Manager at 888.558.9474 ?Directions to Dealer ?Contact Us Options and Standard Features Basic Information VIN Number: C56C2238 Stock Number: 16953 Model Year: 1956 Make: LINCOLN Model: Continental Mk II Exterior Color: Black DriveTrain Transmission: Automatic Contact Park Place LTD 13710 NE 20th Street Bellevue Washington 98005 View Map Ask for:Dave Bruski Toll Phone:888-558-9474 Primary Phone:425-503-0980 Contact: ?Contact Us Hours Monday - Saturday:08:00am-07:00pm PST Sunday:10:00am-06:00pm PST Terms Placing a Bid: Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this vehicle.
