1971 Jeepster Commando Details: · Rust free example of the last Jeep built before American Motors took over the brand and assembly o P/S, P/B, A/T, ice cold A/C o 4 Wheel Drive (Locking hubs) o New interior Front clip was completely removed to allow complete painting of engine compartment. Engine was removed and minor rebuild performed. New timing chain and gear set installed, rebuilt distributor installed. Compression test showed no rebuild of the block was required, engine was resealed and tested. Less than 2000 miles have been put on the engine/transmission since rebuilding. Details: · Motor/Transmission – Buick Dauntless V-6 with a GM Turbo 400 Transmission o New timing chain and gears o Rebuilt distributor installed o Tested and resealedo Transmission had fluid replaced, new filter, and was tested · Chassis - All shocks, brakes, hoses, replaced. o Power brakes o Trailer package added. bolts to the chassis, not the bumper.. · Body - Stripped to bare metal - etched, repaired, epoxy primed, and painted o Any rusted areas were cut out and patched or weld repaired o Painted original factory color (Yellow with a White Roof)o Chrome in nice condition.o Original factory hubcaps, new body emblems.o All gauges work.o Bucket seats with Console.o Tires have 90% remaining tread.
