This was originally the Half Cab, so these are rare. When I bought it it did not come with the half cab top, it came with the full size top. So I just restored that top. The half cab tops are out there tho! When I would drive this Jeep I never even had the top on, in fact after I restored it and got it home I took the top off and stored it. Never put it back on. When I took the top off there was a little paint rub. So I took it back and had it all redone. So it's clean as a whistle. That's the only reason why I never bought the half cab top, i was never planning on even using the top! I only drove this in the spring/summer/fall months. Once the salt on the streets come out, it gets garaged. Then when the rains cleaned the salt in the spring, it would come out of the garage. You can be assured that this is rust free. If you're wanting to restore a Jeep like this, don't waste your time, this one is done for you! It was a lot of work to keep it as original as possible. Including finding all the little random parts. All lights work. Directionals work. Windshield Wipers works. Heater motor works. AM Radio works. Gas gauge works. Temp gauge works. Speedo works. Horn works via additional button.

1969 Kaiser Jeep/ Jeepster Commando. Engine is the rare Dauntless V6. It does run! Manual transmission (3 speed i think?), manual transfer case. Jeep does NOT have a title. I grabbed it at the junkyard before they could shred it! Someone put new tires on it before giving up on it! It has 3 of the original hubcaps. It has a lot of floor pan rust that was replaced with a riveted sheet of galvanized steel. The frame is surface rusted but does not have any rust through holes in it! This is a perfect chassis and drivetrain for your resto project. Plus, you get a lot of body parts that are in great shape. The doors aren't rusted out at the bottom. The tailgate still has the original spring latches. All the exterior lights seem to work. The steering works well, the brakes aren't frozen up and all the driveshafts are intact. There is one seat in the Jeep but, I don't know what it came out of. I have knocked some of the dents out of the front fender since the pics were taken. And the original air cleaner housing was cleaned out and installed (see pics). There were no keys to the Jeep but I'm going to find a replacement ignition (key) switch to install in it. I can tow it to Wilmington NC to a shop where a transporter can easily pick it up. You will have to arrange for shipping. Any questions or more pics needed, please TEXT ONLY to 910-789-0832. Hello, Thanks for looking at my Jeep. It is a 1969 Jeepster Commando. Pretty rare. It has had a frame off restoration. The frame is as clean asevery other part on it. I'm not a photographer so the pics don't do it justice. It has a brand new hand built (not a crappy crate motor) high performance 350backed up by a 700R automatic transmission. It has gears to crawl or cruise. It has brand new 35x12.50 mud grips sitting on gorgeous chrome 20's.It has dana 44's front and rear (no lockers). All the correct geometry and pinion angles. Many custom stainless steel fabricated pieces since the man whobuilt it owned a fab shop. The interior is new and very comfortable. Cranks right off, sounds mean. All new upholstery, all new sound system with lots of bass.Top and doors come off for that cruising in the wind thing. It is set up to enjoy and not have to wrench on. Paint is shiny and gorgeous. Not a spotof rust anywhere. Drives good but it isn't a 2015 Cadillac so don't expect it to be. It's a 50 year old Jeep, even new Jeeps ride like a Jeep. Any questions just ask. I don't need help selling. I know the scams and won't take a check to give the money to your shipper or whatever the latest scam is this week. This is a beautifully restored RARE Commando. Kaiser Jeep reintroduced the Jeepster CommandoC101 in 1966 to supplement its successful production of the medium duty military trucks to the civilian market. In 1972 Kaiser's parent company AMC lengthened the wheel base to 104 inches and renamed the revised Jeep the "Commando C104". The front end was also altered to accept the 304cubic in V8 engine and the ne Commando C104 received a full width grille that distinguished it from earlier Jeeps. In '72 and '73 on 22,223 were produced. This is your chance to own a beautiful example of utility vehicle history. We purchased the vehicle from the original owner and after registering it, was able to keep the original title. This is an exceptionally good running and driving Jeep.
