Up for sale is my 1965 Ford Galaxie Convertible. It was purchased from my friend, who’s father used it very sparingly prior to his passing. His son kept the car for 5 years and had the vehicle repainted approx. 5 years ago. His father was a machinist by trade and rebuilt the current 390 engine himself to factory standards. I can personally attest to the quality of this rebuild, which is a term that gets tossed around fairly casually in the classic car world. This rebuild was exemplary in quality. The oil stays cleaner between changes than any other car I’ve worked on. The car has about 20,000m since the complete engine rebuild. I have personally driven this car from Minnesota to Atlanta with no issues at all. No overheating at speed or idle, no smoking, no engine noises. Perfect highway car, 2700 RPM at 65 MPH. I have spent a great deal of time and money making sure this car performs flawlessly as a daily driver. I have completely flushed and sealed the fuel tank and installed a new fuel pump, Holley 750 carburetor with electric choke, and a quality fuel pressure regulator. As for ignition, all new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, Pertronix ignitor, and flamethrower coil. I also did a complete coolant flush and installed new belts and hoses. All new filters, power steering flush, overflow tank for radiator, new battery and dedicated transmission cooler. Just about every detail has been addressed to make this engine utterly reliable. The transmission is flawless and was rebuilt last month($1700) by a local specialist as the gears were beginning to slip(12 month warranty). The non-matching #’s 390 (car was 352 originally) exhausts through true duals with extra-long glass packs that are pretty quiet actually with just the right amount of sound. The car has new rear coil springs and isolaters, four new shocks, a new heavy-duty polygraphite front sway bar from Performance Suspension Technology and four new Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires and a brand new, unused spare tire. I replaced all four front ball joints in addition to adding brand new inner and outer tie rod ends, idler arm, and pitman arm. The front end was then aligned. It has great handling with all the suspension updates. It offers a confident driving experience. Cosmetically, this car outshines the competition, as seen in the pictures. It has a super glitzy, sparkling vibrant metallic candy green paint. This paint job is by far the number one compliment about the car by passerby. Everybody takes notice, everybody loves it. Get used to hearing, “what’s that color? I love it.” every time you take the car out. Old school Cragar SS wheels finish off the exterior. The stainless steel is in good condition and the bumpers in good driver shape. It has a brand new convertible top professionally installed. It’s a high quality Electron brand-name top, not a no-name cheap top from the internet. It cost $1435 installed, and the receipt and blank 5-year warranty card are included with the sale. Power top motor works perfect raising the top from the down position, but it needs a little helping hand for the first few inches to put it down. However, it’s very easy to operate with just one person using a couple fingers. As for the interior, it is a gold velour for the upholstery and door panels. It’s extremely beautiful and super comfortable for long drives. Plus, it stays pleasant in both cold and hot weather, unlike vinyl. It’s very tastefully and professionally done, and in excellent condition. I had new gold carpet installed with new gold seat belts and door sills. The dash is in perfect condition, no cracks or fading. All the gauges work and are clear and bright, all dash lights work perfectly. It has the original radio in the dash and a new aftermarket CD / IPOD. We replaced the frightening single-circuit master cylinder with a new power dual system running the 4-way drum brakes. The front brakes are completely new. The heater, windshield wipers, and all exterior lights work perfectly. It has a triple gauge pod mounted nicely under the dash to display oil pressure, engine temperature, and voltage. Tachometer on the steering column. Original FoMoCo windshield washer system—and it works great! Undercarriage looks good. Floors are solid as can be and there’s NO inch-thick layer of undercoating to hide rust issues. This car has nothing to hide. Au Natural, just the way it should be. The body has a few dings and a couple paint chips here and there. Not perfect, but so unbelievably nice. To conclude, this is a gorgeous car that’s ready to own, enjoy, and collect. It’s not 100-point perfect, nor is it #’s matching to a fault. It’s a classic that any car guy would lust for. It’s a classic you can be damn proud of. And, it’s eye-catching and unique to the nth degree, a true one-of-a-kind. I am a private owner and the vehicle title is shared with the bank as the car was financed through Collector Car Lending. The car is located in Atlanta GA safe and sound under covered parking. The odometer shows 34,231. No warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for shipping if applicable. I welcome personal or third-party inspections and test drives for serious buyers. The vehicle is for sale locally so the listing may be ended without warning. If you want the car, don't hesitate to call me! 678-528-1936 Leave a Message ad Phone Number. No soliciting. DO NOT TEXT. As you can tell I have put a lot of time and money into updating this car mechanically. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

I.V.E. Auto Sales 335 E. Solomon St Griffin , GA 770-233-0060 1965 Ford Galaxie $37,950 Year: 1965 Make: Ford Model: Galaxie Trim: Stock #: 65gal59 VIN: 3S601010101 Transmission: Automatic Exterior Color: Black Interior Type: Leather Mileage: 0 Primary Contact: IVEautosales.com Phone: 770-233-0060 Vehicle Comments The 1965 Galaxie! Once seen that's what you will call this 1965 Satin Galaxie 500 5.9 Cummins! Yes I said a 5.9 Cummins Turbo Diesel powered by a built automatic transmission with a manual valve body, putting that 500+hp through a DANA rear end. Im going to tell you...It's the coolest car we have ever owned...I say that to tell you when you drive this Galaxie that 5.9 rattle turns heads (Everyone is looking for a truck) when they see this beauty they lose their mind...this ride turns almost every head on the road. We here at IVEautosales.com we love the satin look, we picked satin Black with a satin gold roof accented in gloss contrasting emblems. The interior we had done in flat black with beautifully completed black seats with brushed gold piping. The headlights have been upgraded to ballasted xenon's which looks great, reminds me of the Green Hornet. This is one good looking ROD. Below is a article from Bangshift.com from a couple of years ago on the car::::::::::::::::::As youll see more of today, the diesel swap in a car thing is gaining more and more steam by the week. From 1980s economy boxes getting smallish turbo diesels to cars like this 1965 Galaxie getting a face full of wicked up Cummins power, the economy and performance of these engines is really taking the hot rodding world by storm. Never in a million years did we see this combo coming, though! We have to thank Chris Cabe for the tip on this Galaxie that is currently for sale by IVEautosales.com. With a 500hp Cummins 6BT engine in the front, a Dana 60 axle in the back and a rebuilt and refreshed overdrive automatic trans between the two, this thing has to be awesome to rattle down the road with. The seller is claiming 30mpg and we have no reason to dispute that. With a slightly lowered stance and larger wheels, the car has a whiff of a pro touring vibe. The one thing we would change if we took ownership would be to go with a set of body colored steelies with some fatter meat in the back to give it more of a street racer/drag racer look. Were not knocking the car at all, just a personal stylistic choice, thats all. The 500hp output of the engine means that it is barely breathing hard at this point. There is a TON more power to he had there. In fairness, it is making prodigious torque and enough horsepower now to be hilarious to drive but this thing could be made into Captain Insano levels of fun by standing on that inliner a little harder. A six speed manual transmission would also add to the top end fun here, but again, were just dreaming out loud. Four wheel disc brakes on the corners, a beefy Dana 60 axle out backwhats not to love here? Yes, the Cummins weights in at about 975lb wet and thats a few hundred pounds heavier than a 427 FE engine would be so corner burning may not be its thing, but scaring the pants off of unsuspecting street squirrels sure would be. The want is definitely strong here.
