Up for auction is my F250 XLT Lariat 4 door Bronco, also known as a Metropolitan by Magnum Corp. Ford could not make a four door SUV back in 1991 so you'd buy your truck and they'd ship it up to one of two conversion shops up the road, Magnum or Centurion. Between the two companies I have heard only about 5,000 of these were made. Magnum put out fewer total vehicles than Centurion. This one started out as a single cab Ford 4WD F250. Per the Magnum brochure, the conversion cost was $10,535. Additional options included rear speakers, overhead console w/ CB and antenna, special paint, brake controller and wiring package, overhead rear A/C, extra gas tank (now over 50 gal), removable 3rd row seat, roof racks, rear window defogger and brought the price up close to $3,000 more. I've owned this truck for almost 3 years and it has a strong and responsive 7.5L 460 V8, cold AC (DUAL, front and rear) and hot heat, with its automatic transmission and transfer case rebuilt in June 2016. It also has 4.10 gears, Goodyear air bags, electric brake and 26k tranny cooler if you plan on towing anything. It tows our 30' travel trailer with ease. Power windows (up front) and rear window works (both from key switch and button on dash). Aftermarket CD/receiver and overhead DVD player both work, too. There are a few wireless headphones that come with it, too. I think only 3 of 4 work, however. The overhead console lights work as does the CB radio (removable antenna on roof). The dash cover keeps the otherwise clean dash free from the sun's rays. All items work in this truck and the driver seat where the fabric is coming off the piping is the only thing I would consider wrong with it or not working as expected. Newer tires with LOADS of tread on them, load range E. This thing runs great, has plenty of pickup and power and is pretty comfortable considering what it is. It still is the original paint, and look at the roof. You don't find them like this one. Any rust that I am aware of is limited to both sides of the roof and rain gutter (see 1 pic). We caught wind that the Bronco had been in a accident and insurance deemed it a total loss! We knew how spectacular this Bronco was and had to acquire it and save it! This old gal was far too nice with its low miles and shape to let it waste away in a salvage yard or God forbid be parted out! We purchased it with a NY salvage certificate. We looked Bronco over and had to have it! The sheet metal damage we had repaired was hood, drivers fender, radiator support, ac condenser, bumper filler and front bumper. We had paint digitally color matched and it looks great! We went a step further and had Bronco inspected by the state of Ga and it passed no problem and was issued a rebuilt Ga title and is now able to be back on road to enjoy. This Eddie Bauer still retains just about 90% of its factory original paint and pinstripes and they look amazing! All the weather stripping all looks great! Super nice chrome and way cool Ford accessory front bumper guards! The original windshield and leading edges of the roof and hood show almost no rock chips at all. Actually I couldn’t even find a chip on the windshield. Under the hood the engine compartment looks nice and the fuel injected 2.9L V6 runs great. It also has original hoses, ing wires, stampings and paper stickers and grease pencil marks and paint dabs. The interior looks almost brand new and still smells the part! The driver’s seat cushion especially the edge closest to the door shows no wear at all. The cushion shows no deformation. The brake pedal and gas pedal show great. The carpet and upholstery all look fantastic and show that glisten! The headliner and sun visors are not sagging at all. It also retains the original Bronco II floor mats. The undercarriage shows great its rock solid and has new front and rear Monroe Gas-Matic Shocks! Correct factory alloys with New 235-75-15 inch Goodyear Wranglers 200 miles ago! Out of the road the truck behaves like a vehicle with only 32k miles should its very tight, smooth and quiet. The fuel injected 2.9L V6 has plenty of power and the automatic shifts smoothly and firm. I have a 1993 Ford Bronco project to offer. Runs and drives, 4 wheel drive works. New tires, complete rear end just changed out. Have 2 new brake calipers for front, 1 installed the other not. The front brake rotors need immediate changing. Previous owner got the Bronco stuck in mud and wrecked the old rear end. Like I said, I replaced it. The truck will need TLC throughout. Window motors work but rear window and passenger side off track. Windsheild is cracked. The vehicle has a clear title. When the previous owner got her stuck he pushed the gas peddle all the way to within 3/4 of an inch to the floor. There are no issues with my bronco. The only thing that has been done to it is replaced radiator a couple months ago and new battery.
