1997 Ford F-150 Extended Cab 3 Door Lariat, 4.6L Auto transmission with 3.55 posi rear and towing package. I have owned this truck since 2001 and it has been the best vehicle I have had. I just replaced the plugs, wires, battery and master cylinder. Several years ago the water pump, hoses, coolant, idler pulleys were replaced just to be safe. Interior is good but drivers seat has some tears and headliner has come loose, pretty typical for a 17 year old vehicle. Drivetrain is rock solid, engine and tranny were always maintained, does not use oil or smoke. This truck would make a great work vehicle. Back in 2005 or 2006, the truck was hit in the rear at a stoplight, damaging the bed and rear section of frame rail. I installed a new bed (Original white paint from a salvage donor) in perfect shape, and bolted in a new rear frame rail section with grade 8 bolts, stronger than before. The vehicle was issued a salvage rebuilt title but drives identical as before, as no other damage was present. I even installed an extra leaf spring to increase the carrying capacity. While the bed was off I also replaced the fuel pump as well. The truck is ready to go. Only reason for selling as I purchased a 2007 Avalanche and I need the room, too many vehicles.
