1968 Ford F 100 SHORT BOX TRUCK This 1968 F 100 in its original black color scheme came from the factory with the " deluxe" package including power steering , power brakes , sliding rear window and wood grain trim . Also includes the factory hood ornament and rear cab bed light , signifying a deluxe package. The factory original 360 engine has undergone a COMPLETE recent rebuild, during which, the engine was bored to 390 specifications. Exhaustive rebuild includes complete dis-assembly and rebuild, new valves and head rebuild, new water pump, alternator , enlarged aluminum radiator for balanced reliable cooling etc... To much to list in detail The transmission underwent a simultaneous rebuild as well so that ENTIRE POWER TRAIN IS FRESHLY RESTORED !!!! The factory gauges have been newly restored with ford blue LED back lighting added to brighten the notoriously 'dim' back lighting on said gauges and a superb result has been achieved! Also added is the retro sound radio with MP3 input and electric antenna providing quality sound for modern enjoyment. Original factory radio comes with truck. The brakes are factory drum all around and BRAND NEW ALL THE WAY AROUND!!! ( installed new hydraulic actuators , pads , etc... ) does not stop on a dime but stops as well as new from the factory! The trim on these trucks is incredibly extensive and I am happy to say that this truck sports ALL of its correct original factory trim from side molding to lower trim, to wrap around cab trim, to ranger emblems etc... In short ...this truck has " ALL THE ORIGINALS BITS " that make restoration so very difficult if they are not already present. The undercarriage is in excellent preserved condition as I have tried to include photos to attest. I first purchased a 1968 " long bed F- 250 " but later became enamored with the much rarer " short box f-100 " After an extensive search, I originally purchased this truck to give it to my son ..... to mutually enjoy the experience of classic issue automotive history and all the "appreciation " for the big 3 American manufactures competing for the working farmer/ ranch Man's hard earned dollar. Having spent a significant amount of money to improve the quality of my original purchase ...The time has now come to pass this history lesson to the next conservatoire of history. I wish you happy bidding and a desire to preserve the great vehicles that made America the wonderful country of dreams it was in 1968 with its rewards for the working man back in the day. I have clean clear title in my name on this truck. Truck is currently registered in California
