Car has been in collection since it was new (100% California Car). ZERO RUST. Car was sold at Claude Short Dodge by Dan Cragin and has been maintained by Dan ever since. This car is entirely documented from time of purchase to services done every year. It has been driven every once in a while, so that it stays fresh and only taken to car gatherings, shows, etc... This car has 7,500 miles on her and the car is all original exactly how it came from the factory. This GTS is completely original paint and never seen rain. I currently purchased a brand new corsa exhaust system for the car and if the new buyer wants that with the car I will sell it. I just had it fully serviced as I do on a yearly basis. Everything from moldings to brakes, fluids, etc. Mechanically the car is 110%. All cosmetic molding, hood adjustment, door alignments, fluids, sway bar boots, brakes, and all other things needed to maintain a Gen 2 Viper have been done about a month ago. Tires are in Excellent shape. The paint and condition of this car is stunning. The car has been always kept clean and was recently detailed by legendary detailer Chuck Mason. Like all vipers the bottom of the front has a few scrapes that cannot be seen. The Interior is also flawless. Please feel free to contact me for detailed questions and history of the car. This magnificent 2009 Dodge Viper SRT is owned by one of the financial wizards of this era, And i have been fortunate enough to be asked to help market this incredible machine. I know quite a bit about it because i own a detailing company in Santa Cruz, Ca. and have been maintaining this work of art weekly for close to 4 years. It has been cared for like a member of my family. It is a remarkable example of the very few 09 SRT10 ACR models produced. Dodge Vipers scream American Muscle Six-hundred horsepower, zero-to-60 miles-per-hour acceleration in less than four seconds, a reported top speed of more than 200 miles per hour, an improved highway ride and exemplary race-track behavior are all available for a low reserve. This car has never been redlined. it has never seen a day at the races or even been on the track."SRT" stands for "Street and Racing Technology" Engineering, while "10" represents the number of cylinders in its engine. This Viper comes ias a fixed-roof Coupe, the wheels were factory ordered with the natural aluminum finish as opposed to the powder coating that normally comes from the factory on this model. the result is a more aggressive, striking wheel. The wheels are clear coated so there's no tarnishing of the aluminum that normally happens with bare aluminum. 38k miles, GPS, LOJACK and brand new tires.The ACR has exactly the same power and torque as the regular Viper-600 horses and 560 pound-feet. The engine drives through a smaller dual plate clutch that reduces rotating inertia by 18 percent and the latest iteration of the Tremec T6060 six-speed that includes triple-cone synchros on first and second, and 10-percent-wider gears to manage the torque. The GKN ViscoLok diff features its own sump to quicker generate the hydraulic pressure needed to actuate the limited-slip clutches faster, yet more progressively and with greater precision. Most of the time, effort, and development dollars have been spent on stuff that makes the ACR go faster through the twisty bits-suspension, brakes, wheels and tires, and aerodynamics. Especially the aerodynamics. At 150 mph, the regular Viper coupe generates 100 pounds of downforce; at the same speed, the Viper ACR generates 1000 pounds of downforce. That giant carbon-fiber rear wing is the most obvious reason why. But there's also a carbon-fiber front splitter that extends way back under the car and incorporates seven steps to diffuse the airflow. The new hood louvers unveiled with the 600-horsepower engine upgrade a year ago play a part, too. ARC suspension changes include race-style KW shocks all around that can be adjusted for stiffness and ride height, springs twice as stiff as those in a normal Viper, and a beefier front stabilizer bar. Forged "Sidewinder" alloy wheels save 30 pounds of unsprung weight, and new two-piece StopTech brake rotors save a further 30. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires-basically barely legal race rubber-are standard. The standard ACR is 40 pounds lighter than the regular Viper coupe. Up for sale is a red 1998 Dodge Viper GTS; it currently has about 40,000 miles. It is the 2nd generation Viper which has the 450 horsepower 8 liter V10 with a 6 speed transmission. The 1998 models also have forged pistons so they can easily push 700-800 horsepower before needing any bottom end work. Everything works, needs a few minor things done like: gas cap + headlights need polishing and rear wheels have a few small spots that should be scrubbed. The rear has a few spots that need to be touched up properly; when I had the stripes removed I noticed someone prior had attempted a touch up job which didn't come out perfectly.. They are about 6 small spots which add up to the size of a quarter (picture shows a dime). Pics show all of this. I have a copy of the Carfax in case you are interested. If you want to test drive it make sure to bring cash or have proof of financing ready. Some of the recent maintenance done by Dan Cragin of SPT Performance: oil change, brake & clutch fluid change and new serpentine belt. I'm looking to get a new Viper and when I sold my Gen 4 I took this car as a trade plus some cash. The car is in great shape overall; exterior is about an 8 to 8.5 and interior I would say 9.5. Car has also had a full paint correction and detailing done. PRICE: This is basically one of the lowest priced GTS (coupe) models out there but having said that, there is a bit of room for negotiation. The car is very clean overall. It's a great car for somebody wanting to get into the Viper world for relatively cheap or for someone who wants a stock car to build on. This Viper is certainly one of the nicest examples left in the wild and it has been meticulously maintained with a few must have add-ons. I am open to answer any and all questions on this vehicle and will be available to show the car to SERIOUS prospective buyers. I will not entertain joyriders, and please get the wife's permission before you schedule time with me to look the car over. This Viper looks better in person than in the pictures, it just was returned to me after a 5 hour detail job.This Dodge Viper features the 450bhp/ 490 lb/ft torque GTS V10. Fitted behind is the Borg Warner T-56 6 speed manual gearbox into a custom built 3.55 limited slip differential (3.07 gears were factory installed). The transmission was just fully rebuilt this week in San Jose. The 3.55 lower gears not only make this GTS much, much faster off the line, but they allow 5th and 6th gears to be usable at street legal speeds. Cruising at 70mph in 6th drops the RPM to under 2k and greatly improves fuel consumption. To even out the braking performance, I had a 2nd caliper fitted to the rear. Wilwood calipers and brake bias valves allow for better stopping power and allow for adjustment of the brake bias to the front or rear. Installed at this time were new stainless steel lines and new brake fittings. To help the V10 breathe better, custom side draft dual exhaust was added. The exhaust now exits in front of the rear wheel on each side and gives the Viper the true muscle car look and sound (I will include the factory dual rear exhaust with the sale). I had fitted chromed, staggered Generation I RT/10 three spoke wheels, 17x10/13. These wheels were ordered new at the time and really set the look of the GTS apart even further. The tires remain the factory recommended size of 275/40 and 335/35 front to rear and the tires have less than 1000 miles on them (included in the sale will be 2 NEW rear tires and 1 front). The interior has seen some expensive and tasteful additions. The front buckets seats were reupholstered 2 months ago in black leather. They feature the OEM look of perforated leather in the center sections (original seats were vinyl). A B&M chrome shift knob was added to compliment the wheels. Best of all, a $3,500 stereo was added. All ARC audio interior speakers are independently powered and play through a custom Kenwood stereo. Two Polk Audio 15 inch sub-woofers in a custom enclosure hide in the back hatch area and offer extremely low and responsive bass. This sound system will play as loud as your ears, or your neighbors, will allow if that is your thing. The stereo has a quick adjust bass knob installed in the interior, a Bluetooth microphone, and iPhone connectivity through a hidden cable. To keep you disguised if you so choose are the limo tint side and rear window glass, they also keep the damaging CA sunlight off the interior.Overall, this car presents in beautiful condition, drives flawlessly, and sounds as good as it looks.
