2006 Sprinter 2500 170 Inch Passenger Van (Low Miles) I have my 2006 Sprinter 170 Inch passenger van for sale. I purchased this from a dealer as I am second owner. I will list all up-grades I had installed at a local Dodge (Sprinter) dealer. I had this re-painted back in August 2014.This Van has never been in a wreck and has been taken excellent care of, as you will see from the extensive Carfax report. If you’ve been looking for a quality pre-emissions sprinter with the most unique options you may have just found it. It’s my 1-Owner Dodge 2500 High Ceiling Sprinter 140” wheel base passenger van with the low roof and only 103k miles. I don’t think you will find many of these sprinters built like this, it’s almost minivan size but it’s diesel and gets 27MPG. The body, drivetrain, underbody and interior are well above average, I believe you will not find one this year and price range any nicer. Read on for a full description. Mechanically this van is superb. The original owner purchased new to haul the elderly around to run errands and it’s been fleet maintained right here in Elizabethtown it’s entire life. It’s obvious by looking at it’s condition and the way it drives that this van was always serviced on time and cared for. The local Dodge dealer had traded it in from the original owner and had put it through their shop to put for sale on their front line. It did not sell on their lot within their allotted time frame (60 days) and they wholesaled it to me. Here is what they have done to it to get it up to new car dealer standards; New tires and alignment, new front and rear brake rotors and brake pads, new battery, all new fluids and filters to the tune of $2,500. It’s a great van and ready to be put into use without any extra repairs thats for sure. The 2.7 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel is quiet and powerful and also gets 23-27 MPG fully loaded or empty. It drives down the road great with no pulling or wondering, brakes stop straight as well. Undercarriage is clean and dry with no leaks or rust at all. You will not have to spend a dime and this truck, drive it to California and back it’s that good. Cosmetically this truck is the same way, well above average for the year. The paint is straight and shines very well in this attractive color (white...blah!). If you've been looking for a clean, well cared for Sprinter passenger van with good miles, than my 2006 with just 115k is for you. Mechanically this van runs out strong. Motor sounds healthy through all the RPM's. Trans shifts great through all the gears. Drives down the highway nice. Steering is nice and tight. Brakes feel good. Has a good PA inspection. A/C is cold. No lights on the dash. Overall a well cared for Sprinter. Cosmetically it's in great shape as well. Paint shines nice in the sun. Body is nice and straight with the exception of a door ding or two if you look for it. Underneath is nice and clean. Interior is fresh and hasn't been smoked in. Seats are all in good shape. Has a few little smaller than dime sized rust bubbles that are shown in the pictures. Overall a very clean Sprinter all the way around. Selling my beloved Shamoo. I don't want to sell it, but I need to move on to a smaller van as my business model has changed. I used it to move furniture for restoration- its worked great for me for years. The padded walls are built-it moving blankets. Unfortunately, I do not have the seats, but I recently saw several on eBay for sale, They ARE available. The van accepts 3 rows of seats (see photos). These vans have a colt following and have been huge in Europe for decades; now they are the #1 van to own in the U.S. The Mercedes 2.7liter In-Line 5 cylinder motor is one of the best engines ever made, most will say they are even better than the current V6- NCV3 vans have. It should easily drive 500-700K miles before needing rebuilding, in fact, I have a lot of friends with these vans that still drive their sprinter everyday with over 500,000 miles on it. This diesel motor consistently brings 17-20MPG, with a good combination of highway and city miles. The van is made by Mercedes Benz, and sold through Dodge in 2004. Mine has 232,427 miles as of right now. Since this is my daily driver, I will put several more miles on it before it sells. I am the second owner of this van.Clear title in my name, no liens. The van has an UPGRADED SOUND system that runs CD's and plays DVD's. I have installed a BACKUP CAMERA for safe baking up, it comes on when you put the van in Reverse. The van has a class III TRAILER HITCH with the 4-prong wire hookup. I can put a 32' extension ladder in between the seats, and I have 14'-3" between the back of the seats and the back door. I've added LED CARGO lighting so you can see anything you need to find at night. I have moved the entire contents of a house with this van alone. It can haul anything!The van runs great, with no mechanical issues- I drive it everyday, and would not hesitate to jump in and drive it to California right now. There are a few cosmetic things in the paint that can be fixed. Since I don't have the seats, I hope to sell this to someone who wants a nice looking work/cargo van. Worried about the windows? cut 6 pieces of plywood to block them out. I personally have dropped chairs, dressers, hand trucks and myself into the windows and I've never broken any of them. The floor mounts for the seats become convenient tie down points for furniture, tools, etc. This van has the optional Espar Heater Booster, to help you get the van warm inside during the winter. The rear door has been re-enforced with a steel L bracket, to ensure longevity of the doors. Before the custom paint was added, I had them do rust neutralization and body work, That means this van is now 98% rust free!Recently, I have the following service done:Oil change, Radiator flushRear Differential serviceNew harmonic balancerNew steering fluidRust removal, bodywork and paint jobFront headlights restoredAC chargedTransmission service, fluid and filterNO Fuel injector problems (I checked)Fuel filter replaced in the Summer, 2015COLD AC and HOT HEAT, all systems checkedThe front tires are good for another year of driving, the back tires should probably be replaced before winter. Brakes are good. Safety inspection is good through 3/2016. I DO NOT have the AC ductwork. I DO NOT have the sliding passenger door panel. All doors lock and unlock manually only. They need to be greased and lubricated, and the Sliding Door mechanism replaced before you can operate the Automatic Lock/Unlock. This van has the optional rear air conditioning, but to save on gas mileage, I have taken off the belt which drives it. The fan works fine, but it will not cool down until you reinstall the belt. I only have ONE KEY, no FOB or automatic unlock, although these are available from the dealer, or aftermarket. Feel free to call 703.347.508eight for a test drive today! Very nice Dodge Sprinter in very nice condition inside and out. Low miles and well maintained. Overall this unit is in excellent condition. It drives perfectly. Trakcs straight and stops straight. No engine noise as expected from a 52,000 mile diesel. The body is straight and rust free. We note only a few minor blemishes (view pics) but overall it shows nicely. Clean interior with Navigation, all bench seating, AC/Heat climate control, DVD with remotes (disconnected but present). All glass and trim are in great shape and the wheels look great. The tires are at 15% up front and 50% on the rears. We considered putting tires on it and would be happy to help with the installation should you wish to replace them. We can also price out new tires if you wish....in fact the owner offered to chip in towards the new set! This truck is nice inside and out and mechanically sound. The carfax notes a rear impact in 2007 which dented the rear door (see pic). It was a parking lot dent and left alone since it didnt damage the paint. Nice 2005 Dodge sprinter 3500 Passenger van, Camper, Party Bus, Hunting Cabin on Wheels, etc... and yes it gets 23 MPG! I am selling because I needed to get health ins. and can no longer afford the payments. It runs and drives great. we have taken it across the US. several times and love the room inside. If you have kids you will love this van. It has the high top so you can walk around in it. The color? You will never forget witch row you parked in again. ;-) My wife already says she will be missing that. It has a heater and AC unit it the back for a comfortable ride. The van has a hitch and tows beautifully. I bought this vehicle down in Pennsylvania so for the year there is hardly any rust. The paint clear coat is pealing in some spots, and the window tinting for the back windows are pealing some to. There is the drivers side door grab that is missing. I have one on order so that will be back in place soon. On the right side of the steering wheel there is a single din blank cover that is missing as well, that to I have on order to replace. I also have some more seats for the back if you would like them, they would go to the winning bidder. Don't let the high miles scare you, I have seen these vans still going strong over 500,000. I have two wireless remotes to open and close the side door just FYI. Great to have when your arms are full.P.S. Just had new back brakes put on, also tires are fairly new.
