FOR SALE 1998 DODGE RAM 2500 4X4, QUAD CAB, SLT, 2-OWNER DEALER MAINTAINED, 269K MILES, $12,500 Up for sale is a strong 2-owner Diesel 4x4 with a documented dealer maintained history. This is a Texas Truck with no rust, no leaks, no blow-by and just under 15k miles per year for 18 years and runs great. Cosmetically it shows normal wear from use. Mechanically this is a very solid truck with Dodge Dealer warranted maintenance. This is a 1998.5 model so it has the 24-valve turbo diesel engine. We bought this from a friend, the original owner, who used this as a family vehicle and a commuter. We have kept up with all maintenance. There is an extensive list of new parts to keep this running strong for many more years. Most notable is the new MOPAR transmission with a 3-year warranty and a re-built VP44 high pressure fuel pump with a 1-year warranty. These trucks are highly sought after for the great diesel engine which is capable of well over 20 MPG. This comes with the original window sticker, original owner’s manual and 2 original keys. It is the QUAD CAB model so the rear doors open. We upgraded the 2500 4x4 steering with MOOG HEAVY DUTY RAM 3500 STEERING with all new tie rods, tie rod ends, bushings and ball joints, plus a new power steering pump and lines to keep things tight for many more years. The suspension has expensive THUREN COIL SPRINGS and SPOHN PERFORMANCE TRACK BAR with EXTREME DUTY FRONT END LINKS for 2 inches of lift up front. The rear has a 2 inch ADD-A-LEAF on top of the FACTORY AUXILLARY REAR SUSPENSION GROUP. These are topped off with FOUR BILSTEIN 5100 SERIES Stainless Steel Shocks and a ROUGH COUNTRY Steering Stabilizer. The Differentials and the transfer case have BG PRODUCTS fluid service. New parts have been installed: Radiator, Water Pump, Serpentine Belt, Two Heavy Duty Batteries, Positive Battery Cables, Negative Battery Cables, Heavy Duty Starter, and Alternator. The lift pump (fuel) was upgraded from the original type to the 2015 RAM inside the tank fuel pump, with new fuel filters and a new VP44 High Pressure Fuel Pump. New Brakes (Front and Rear), New Front Hubs and Bearings. It has a new Turbo-Back 4-inch exhaust with a deep powerful sound. It has a rubber bed mat and a large locking tool box. Inside it has a new headliner, new dash, new bezel and a Kenwood stereo with 4 speakers and an Amplifier. It is already wired for Dual Subwoofers and a Sub Amp (not included). There is over $120 in Audio Wires and connections that are routed from the back of the radio, under the carpet to the speakers and amps. Outside is has new LED Cab Clearance lights and TOW MIRRORS with LED markers. It has a huge RANCH HAND front bumper that was refurbished and powder-coated by the RANCH HAND factory. It has new front head light assemblies and a new front grill (painted to match) with a CUMMINS emblem. It has 5 matching GOODYEAR DURATRAC tires that are 315-70-17 (34.4 inches tall, 12.7 inches wide). These are more robust than the stock tires. The spare is not mounted under the truck (too big) but has not been used. The 5 matching wheels are 17x9 (ATX181 Artillery), with TEFLON coating. Finally, this is an 18-year old truck that shows all the cosmetic wear that happens over time. It could use a new carpet. It has small dents and plenty of scratches. The driver side seat is torn and the power seat works, but is stuck in its current position. The AC, Heat and Defrost work, but the fan does not blow the air very well. We have focused on mechanical maintenance. It is very strong. It could be made to be very nice looking as well.
