The Dart received a much larger engine for compartment to make room for the new V8 option which included a variety of trick GTS V8 options. The GTS weighed in at less than 3,000 lbs and could be had with the 383 engine with a 330 horsepower version available in 1969. Take that, Nova SS! These specially equipped cars came with highflow exhaust systems, the Rallye suspension and the unique color palette available with the MOPAR line up. Dodge made some suspension changes to the GTS when the 383 was ordered including a larger front torsion bar and front sway bar, as the power was on the high side for these smaller bodied cars. This 1969 Dodge Dart GTS is a super sleeper equipped with the potent 383 CI 330 HP engine, heavy duty 727 transmission and 8/34 rear end. The car has just test miles on it since a complete rotisserie restoration back to original specification. It is beautifully finished from top to bottom and ready for your collection. The car comes with the build sheet and original fender tag. The GTS is finished in Dark Green Metallic over a body that was stripped down to bare metal and completely redone on a rotisserie. The paint is a base/clear job that has a fine polished shine to it and the body is very straight. The chrome on the car is new, and all of the trim which was removed for paint was polished before it was put back on the car and looks wonderful. Even the often neglected wing windows were rechromed. All of the rubber trim on the vehicle is new from front to rear and the doors and trunk close with ease. The engine is not the born-with motor but is date code correct for the car. The motor was just completely rebuilt as was the 727 transmission and 8 3/4 rear end. The engine compartment is immaculately detailed and features all of the correct lines, hoses, clamps and finished. The VIN of the car is stamped on the radiator support. The interior is all new and features the correct factory color. The car was originally ordered heater delete from the factory! I guess someone was going straight to the track! It now has brand new Vintage Air A/C. The seat covers have excellent fitment as does the headliner and dash. It also has brand new seat belts in the front and back. The car has the correct solid state AM radio as it did from the factory and it is in good working order. All of the gauges work as they should as do all of the interior and exterior lights. VIDEO AT BOTTOM OF AD! YOU ARE BUYING A 1966 DODGE DART 270 2 DOOR HARDTOP WITH 54,520 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS DART HAS A 273 V8 ENGINE WITH A HOLLEY 2 BARREL CARB, AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. IN 1966 DODGE ONLY PRODUCED 6,600 OF THE 2DR HARDTOP'S IN V8'S. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT AT A STORAGE AUCTION RECENTLY WHERE IT HAD BEEN SITTING SINCE 2010. I WAS GOING TO START IT AS A PROJECT BUT CHOSE SOMETHING ELSE INSTEAD. INSIDE THE CAR WE FOUND 3 RECORD BOOKS FROM 1984, 1985 AND 1986 SHOWING EVERYTIME THE CAR WAS FUELED UP AND HAD ANY REPAIRS DONE TO IT (THESE BOOKS WILL COME WITH THE CAR). THE LAST ENTRY IS FROM JULY OF 1986 AND THE MILEAGE WAS 54,298 MILES. AS OF RIGHT NOW THE CAR SHOWS 54,520 MILES. PAPERWORK FOUND IN THE CAR SHOWS THAT IT WAS A RELATIVE OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER SO WE ARE THE 3RD OWNER OF THE CAR BUT THE 2ND OWNER NEVER DROVE IT AS IT WAS APPARENTLY INHERITED/PASSED DOWN. CAR ALSO HAS THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL. INSIDE THE TRUNK OF THE CAR IS AN EXTRA RADIATOR, EXTRA SINGLE BARREL HOLLEY CARB, AN EXTRA A/C COMPRESSOR UNIT, A POER STEERING PUMP, SOME SPARE COOLING FANS, AND LOTS MORE. (SEE PHOTO) LOOKING AT THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR, IT APPEARS TO ONLY HAVE ABOUT 55,000 MILES ON IT. THE INTERIOR NATURALLY HAS HEAT/SUN CRACKS BUT THE DOOR PANELS AND THE GAUGES LOOK VERY NICE FOR THEIR AGE. THE WINDOW CRANKS AND OTHER CHROME ON THE DOOR PANELS ARE WEATHERED/PITTED. THE IGNITION LOCK WORKS SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WIGGLE IT SO PROBABLY NEEDS A NEW IGNITION. I DIDNT EVEN ATTEMPT TO RUN THE A/C KNOWING HOW LONG THE CAR HAS SAT BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO BURN UP THE COMPRESSOR. THE REAR INSIDE PANEL THAT IS MISSING IS IN THE TRUNK AS IT APPEARS SOMEONE WAS SLOWLY WORKING ON THE CAR. WHEN WE BOUGHT THE CAR A COUPLE WEEKS AGO, IT WAS MISSING A COIL, SOME SPARK PLUG WIRES, AN AIR FILTER AND THE GAS TANK WAS IN THE BACK SEAT. THE GAS TANK IS EITHER BRAND NEW OR WAS FRESHLY REDONE AS IT IS SHINY BLACK. WE HAVE SINCE MOUNTED AND INSTALLED THE FUEL TANK, A NEW SENDING UNIT, A NEW FUEL FILTER, A NEW COIL, SOME USED SPARK PLUG WIRES, AN AIR FILTER, FRESH OIL, NEW OIL FILTER AND FRESH COOLANT AND THE CAR RUNS! OBVIOUSLY IT SMOKES A LITTLE AND RUNS ROUGH AS IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR 30 YEARS. ALL WE HAVE DRIVEN IT IS UP AND DOWN THE STREET A FEW TIMES, SO IT NEEDS TO BE RUN TO REALLY FLUSH OUT EVERYTHING. THIS CAR RUNS BUT IS NOT ROAD WORTHY AS THE TIRES ARE PROBABLY 30 YEARS OLD AND IT HAS NOT BEEN TEST DRIVEN A LONG DISTANCE. WHEN THE DRIVER WAS DRIVING UP AND DOWN THE STREET THE SPEEDO WAS WHINING AND THEN JUST STOPPED AND STOPPED WORKING SO I THINK THE CABLE IS PROBABLY SNAPPED OR WORN FROM SITTING SO LONG AND NOT BEING GREASED. THE CAR DOES HAVE SOME BONDO REPAIR TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE BEHIND THE DRIVERS DOOR AND THE DRIVER DOOR HAS SOME HEAVY DENTS AT THE BOTTOM AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS . OTHER THAN THAT, THIS CAR IS PRETTY STRAIGHT AND HAS NO HEAVY RUST THAT WE CAN FIND,JUST SURFACE RUST. THE WINDSHIELD DOES HAVE A HUGE CRACK IN IT BUT ALL THE OTHER GLASS LOOKS GOOD. OUR MECHANIC DID SAY THAT HE THINKS IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THE PHOTOS YOU WILL SEE IT WAS PAINTED BLUE AND SOMEBODY MADE THEIR OWN BRACKET TO SUPPORT IT UNDERNEATH THAT IS CRACKED. THIS IS A NICE CHANCE TO BUY A CHEAP STARTER CAR FOR YOUR COLLECTION OR FOR YOU TO REBUILD WITH YOUR KID(S). I FOUND A WEBSITE THAT DECODES THE NUMBERS/CODES ON THE FENDER TAG AND THIS IS WHAT IT CAME UP WITH:1966 Production date April 22, 1966 Shipping order 06255 Car line DODGE Dart Price class High Body type 2 door hardtop Trim Grade High [32H] Seat type Bench vinyl [334] Trim color Blue [34B] Paint 1 Medium/light blue metallic [27D] Paint 2 Medium/light blue metallic [28D] Paint scheme Mono tone paint [291] Upper door frame paint Medium blue Engine 273 2bbl 8cyl 180hp LA [373/381] Transmission Transmission-Torqueflite automatic [395] Cleaner Air Package Cleaner Air Package [471] Power equipment Power brakes [451] Radio Radio-AM Music Master/economy 2 W [421] Heater Air conditioning w/ heater [411] THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION SO THE HIGH BIDDER WILL WIN THE CAR. THE CAR COMES WITH CA LIEN SALE PAPERS THAT WE WILL THEN GIVE TO YOU WITH A BILL OF SALE FROM US. NO PLATES COME WITH THE CAR AS THE STORAGE AUCTION ALWAYS REMOVES THEM. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTATION. STORAGE IS NOT AN ISSUE FOR A FEW WEEKS AS LONG AS CAR IS PAID IN FULL. BELOW IS A VIDEO THAT WAS FILMED ON 5-24-16 SHOWING THAT THE VEHICLE DOES IN FACT RUN AND DRIVE.

This is a Classic '74 Dodge Dart Swinger Green 2 Door Coupe Muscle Car. The car has a 318 V8 engine with automatic transmission. It's interior is all green with wood trim. The car comes with new tires and many other new parts. The car runs and drives strong but still needs some body, interior and mechanical work done to it. The door floor & rear quarter panels are rusted out. The front right fender of the car was replace but still lines up nice. The front seat will need new upholstery & springs. The left side of the front seat sinks in because the springs are broke. The car did pass inspection and is registered in Delaware until 2017. It's a nice original classic car that just needs some T.L.C to showcase! You can refer to pictures for more detail information. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have on the car. My name is Dave and you can reach me at 609 680 8330 if you like to call. Also, I'm willing to ship the car at buyers expense. I want you to buy with confidence so please check my feedback! Let me start of by saying this car always draws a lot of attention and numerous compliments. The most asked and most complementary question is, “Is this car real”? The answer is and always has been, no it is not. I would be remiss if I didn’t say thank you to those who helped in this build.1.Dan States at Superior Muscle Cars who once again allowed me to work with with him side by side on a daily basis for this nut and bolt restoration.2.Darin Rumple (previous owner of the Bob Lambeck Hemi Dart) whose help was invaluable. Darin provided the motor work, brought in Bruce Crandall of Total Engine Service for the head rebuilding, graciously sold me numerous real Super Stock only parts that he was keeping for himself and kept me on the straight and narrow as to correctness and detail work.3.Skip Lisell for crafting the custom built headers from scratch, they are a work of art. The ability to to install the passenger side headers in one piece from the underside and the drivers side in two pieces with the motor installed and the front suspension in place is truly unheard of.4. My wife for once again putting up with me during the build, never once complaining and for being interested in the work being done. The Mission Statement here is simple: Build a Hemi Dart in the as delivered look, paint the exterior, build it as correctly as possible and make it street friendly. If you know, understand and love these cars like I do, I believe you will agree that this best and most correct tribute car built to date. It certainly contains more real, original and correct parts than other builds and with several that are Super Stock specific. The car itself originally came from the Southwest and still retains all of its original panels. The only rust repair necessary was one small dime size are on a lower quarter panel which was repaired properly. The body was media blasted top and bottom. It was painted in PPG DBC base and Concept clear, QQ1 color code and black in the engine bay and trunk. The bottom of the car is painted in grey single stage urethane to resemble the original primer color these cars came with. Almost all other surfaces were either gun painted or powdercoated. The only parts I recall using a rattle can on are the engine pulleys. The motor is a correct date code 1966 426 Hemi block. It was rebuilt, is .030 over, never windowed, cracked or sleeved. New pistons, standard crank, completely rebuilt heads with all new components, new cam and lifters, new pushrods, original magnesium crossram intake, original carbs-rebuilt and perfectly tuned, original correct numbers aluminum water pump. original 033 radiator with new triple core, original one year only NOS mechanical drive dual point distributor, original correct pulleys, original valve covers, rebuilt correct alternator, seven blade aluminum clutch fan, Hemi K-Frame powdercoated, MSD 6al-digital hidden behind glove box. Motor was broken in on a dyno and made 552hp @ 6500 rpm with 500 ft. lbs. of torque. The remaining highlights are as follows: 8 ¾ rearend-4:10 gear-pinion angle set for car-perches moved for the offset leaf springs, new super stock springs, wheel wells and driver shock tower modified to match original Hurst work, superstock battery in trunk with correct trays and tie downs, original style battery terminals, all new brakes-drum rears and disc fronts, big bolt pattern front spindles, passenger side under dash air box is original and quite rare, new ?” fuel line and sender, new brake lines and hoses, new shocks, original Hemi Dart seats and brackets-also quite rare, original mirror delete plate, correct radio and heater delete plates, Stahl period correct mechanical tach,Darin rebuilt the 727 tranny-upgraded to handle engine horsepower and more,Cheetah shifter-reverse manual pattern, front wheels are original Hurst 5 spoke-serial numbered, Goodyear front tires 7.50-14, rear tires are Mickey Thompson Radirs-30x10.00-15, rear wheels are 15x7 powdercoated, mini starter, front end completely rebuilt with Moog parts and aligned by Skip Lisell, rechromed bumpers, master cylinder relocated and installed as Hurst did it, as much as possible I used all original correct fasteners-yes a couple are not, there is an original “blue box” transistor ignition box mounted on the firewall under the dash-it is for looks only, interior has all new carpet and headline, fenders from AAR and hood from Cynergy Composites. These are the highlights and I’m sure I’ve missed some things. Happy to answer any serious inquiry. All shipping costs to be paid for by buyer. Additional pics upon request-please serious inquires only. E-mail [email protected] Bucket Link: http://s1228.photobucket.com/user/ww2weaver/library/?sort=3&postlogin=true&page=1

IT HAS BEEN STORED IN MY GARAGE SINCE. I HAVE A NEW MOTOR TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY ON THE ENGINE STAND READY TO GO. IT HAS BEEN DYNO TESTED AND TUNED. I HAVE A NEW INTERIOR AND MOST OTHER PARTS TO FINISH IT. ALL THE PARTS ARE NEW OR PROFESSIONALLY REFURBISHED. THE REAR WHEEL TUBS HAVE BEEN WIDENED BY 3" BUT KEEP THEIR STOCK APPEARANCE. THE REAR END HOUSING HAS BEEN SHORTENED AND THE SUPER STOCK SPRINGS HAVE BEEN MOVED IN TO ALLOW FOR A WIDER REAR TIRE. I AM SELLING THE CAR AND ALL THE "A" BODY PARTS I HAVE ACCULULATED OVER MANY YEARS. IT'S TIME TO CLEAN OUT THE GARAGE. THE CAR IS SOLID AND NOT PERFECT AND WOULD MAKE A FINE CAR WHEN FINISHED.
