HERE IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE EVERYDAY. A 1951 BUICK SUPER CONVERTIBLE. THE EXTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH THE PAINT SHINING BRIGHT. THE WHEELS AND TIRES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE INTERIOR IS ALSO IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO RIPS IN THE SEATS AND THE DASH LOOKING REAL NICE. THE 8 CYL. MOTOR RUNS VERY QUIET AND HAS PLENTY OF POWER FOR A LARGE CAR. THE 3 SPD. TRANSMISSION SHIFTS NICE THROUGH ALL THE GEARS. OVERALL THIS IS A REAL NICE EXAMPLE OF A 51 BUICK. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP GOES UP AND DOWN WITH NO PROBLEMS. ALL THE POWER WINDOWS FUNCTION AS THEY SHOULD. I WOULD SAY THE NEXT THING THAT COULD USE REPLACING IS THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. IT IS SHOWING SOME FADING AND STICHING IS STARTING TO WEAR HERE AND THERE. FOR A LARGE CAR IT DRIVES BEAUTIFUL

It takes a brave man to paint an MGB black, or at least one confident in his bodywork, and it certainly shows here. It's the product of an exceptionally thorough restoration that turned this fun British roadster into a cut-above prize-winner (it already has taken home some nice trophies in the last few years.) That's because all of the usual concerns have been addressed – the doors fit well, the hood is flush, and the decklid sits right, framed by a pair of gorgeous MGB taillights. All the details are there, from the MG badges on the nose and tail, to the chrome sport mirrors and polished gas cap. Chrome bumper cars are popular with MG enthusiasts due to their classic roadster looks, and against the black paint, the brightwork on this prize sparkles and glitters like something very, very expensive. And speaking of chrome and expensive, the 72-spoke wire wheels are the kind of craftsmanship that create attraction from a distance, and create awe up-close. These were hand-built cars, and this one really sets the example of how they all should be.
Showing just 71,309 original miles, this E-Type can justifiably be called a survivor. By 1974, the E-Type had grown, and was more of a grand touring machine than corner-carving sports car, but that's exactly the right place for it to live. This one has been carefully maintained over the years and repaired as necessary, but never fully disassembled or restored. It's easy to spot E-Types that have never been rusty or damaged, because their enormous bonnets fit well and the doors open and close easily, just as they do on this roadster. The vintage paint offers a soft vintage gloss that draws attention to the length of the front end and the curvaceous rear fenders, and few cars are better at attracting a crowd than this one. Sure, there are a few signs of use and age, but with the collector car world's current fascination with originality, it would be a real shame to repaint it. In addition, the chrome is very good, including the grille and bumpers, although the federally mandated rubber overriders don't do the styling any favors.
SUPER SLICK RED PAINT, SMOOTH RUNNING MOTOR, NICE BEETLE READY FOR THE ROAD!
Sometimes, you just can't go wrong with the basics. This nicely finished 1969 Volkswagen Beetle isn't wildly modified, but bright red paint definitely makes it stand out in the crowd. It also offers the charm of the early, pre-Super Beetle era, including small marker lights and a flat windshield, which are preferred by collectors.
Bright red paint looks great on the trademark Beetle curves, but to really make it shine, you need to get a straight one. Unfortunately, a lot of folks don't think VWs are worth the restoration investment, and that's why you need a good, clean original. Even though the paint is now a few years old, it's obvious that this was always a good, clean southern car and the paint has held up quite well despite this being a car that's hard to resist when the sun is shining. This unmolested Beetle fits together extremely well and the doors open and close with just a light touch. There's a single strip of bright trim running the length of the body that dresses it up, and the rest of the chrome appears to have an excellent original patina.
If you own this Chevelle SS, you want to drive it; if you get passed by this Chevelle, you want to own it. That's the desirability of the sought-after Tuxedo Black paint that highlights the exceptionally straight body. Plus, the black vinyl roof was a great way to show off you had some extra cash to splash around. White SS stripes on a functional cowl induction hood, and the hood pins, are a big part of the appeal of the Super Sport model. But this one goes much further to get the details right like the blacked-out grille, all the correct badging, and the correct SS wheels. Nice chrome bumpers and polished stainless fender trim help complete a package that looks ready for a weekend's worth of cruising.
The black bucket seat interior has the same desirable mean and clean attitude as the exterior. The carpets, door panels, headliner, and seats have all been looked over in this one, and anything that didn't feel factory fresh was replaced. The result is a great place to spend some time. You hop in and your right hand is instantly attracted to the iconic horseshoe shifter in the center console. The correct full round gauge set includes a tach, and just below the dash is an auxiliary gauge for oil pressure. The upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo system has features like big speakers and a digital tuner, but its knob-style setup looks period-correct for the dash housing. But what really puts this over the top as the overall best anytime cruiser is the air conditioning.
