Clean stock 1st Series Chevy 3100 pickup, beautiful tan paint, gray interior, brown vinyl seat, factory correct original matching 235 cid inline 6 motor, original 3 speed manual transmission (3 on the tree), newer factory looking exhaust, original oil bath air cleaner and original aux oil filter, New: brakes, tires, shocks, water pump, fuel pump, carpet, seat cover, battery, all new 12 volt wiring. All electrical components converted to 12 volt. New 12 volt alternator looks like original generator. Everything works as it should. Refinished hardwood bed with matching wood side rails This is a great example of a factory stock 1st series pickup that would be a great addition to anyone’s collection. Powered by a complete professional rebuild of a 283 c.i. Chevrolet V8 that has been mated to a professional rebuild of a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. This outstanding truck is equipped with power front disc brakes, power steering, factory air conditioning that works as new. Under the hood everything has been either completely restored or replaced. The engine has a Holly four barrel carburetor that is atop a Holly aluminum intake manifold and is cooled by new large capacity aluminum radiator. All suspension components have been replaced or refurbished. A complete new exhaust system has been installed in the factory location. The brand new tires are 255/55/18 Cooper discovery that are mounted on chromed aluminum five spoke REV wheels. It has been professionally finished in a bright red that is the perfect choice for this unit. All the chrome and bright work are in show condition as well as all the glass. The interior has been completely restored including the carpet, seats and trim. The dash includes a complete gauge package including a factory located tachometer. Called the Advance Design Series, the trucks were sleeker and slightly bigger than their predecessors. First available for sale in June 28, 1947 and sold through March 25, 1955, the trucks went through gradual changes in styling and options during that period. This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Step Side Pickup Truck is a nothing short of a work of art. The Metallic Green paint is immaculate and the same goes for the wood-slat bed and chrome finishes, including the Chevy “steely” hubcaps. The interior is also pristine with a custom tan leather bench seat, door panels, and headliner; all three have matching leather stitching. Other noteworthy features include a freshly restored Inline 6-cylinder engine, smooth 3-on-the-tree manual transmission, foot starter, and a split windshield (1953 was the last year for the split windshield). This truck is reliable and willing to please at any car show. It runs and drives extremely well and every detail has been considered in the restoration. You simply cannot build this truck for the price offered here. And with the steady rise in collectability for these 50’s step side trucks, the price tag is more than reasonable.
