2004 Chevy C6500 Flatbed Truck This auction is for a used 2004 Chevy C6500 Flatbed Truck. Trouble with Clutch or Transmission, currently will not get above 30 mph. Lift gate and bed need light metal work, but both function fine. Small chip in top center of windshield. Broken step up handle on passenger side, easily replaced or removed. Everything else including AC/Heat, Radio and Engine are in good working order as of listing.Batteries were replaced and the starter was rebuilt within the last year.Bed is 20 ft x 8 ft Please see picture(s) more for condition details. Called the Advance Design Series, the trucks were sleeker and slightly bigger than their predecessors. First available for sale in June 28, 1947 and sold through March 25, 1955, the trucks went through gradual changes in styling and options during that period. This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Step Side Pickup Truck is a nothing short of a work of art. The Metallic Green paint is immaculate and the same goes for the wood-slat bed and chrome finishes, including the Chevy “steely” hubcaps. The interior is also pristine with a custom tan leather bench seat, door panels, and headliner; all three have matching leather stitching. Other noteworthy features include a freshly restored Inline 6-cylinder engine, smooth 3-on-the-tree manual transmission, foot starter, and a split windshield (1953 was the last year for the split windshield). This truck is reliable and willing to please at any car show. It runs and drives extremely well and every detail has been considered in the restoration. You simply cannot build this truck for the price offered here. And with the steady rise in collectability for these 50’s step side trucks, the price tag is more than reasonable.
