Up for sale is a beautifully restored 1960 Chevrolet Corvette. This is a true restored original with all numbers matching and all original components that came with the vehicle. All body panels and major chrome pieces are also original to the car. I am the 3rd owner,I have owned it for 7 years, the second owner having owned the car for 53 years. So the mileage is documented. The original 283 engine was rebuilt at 90,000 miles (12K ago). The engine was not bored out,the carburetor,alternator and starter are also original to the car. The wheels and hub caps are also original to the car. The transmission (4-spd) is original and the clutch was replaced at 90K miles as well. Some of the brightwork has been replaced with NOS replacement parts. The carpet is new as well as the dash,the seat belts are new (the originals go with the car). THERE ARE 90 PICTURES UNDER THIS LISTING!!BUY IT NOW OR MAKE OFFER on this 1966 Corvette Roadster that has fire damage, We were able to get the car started by pouring gas in to the carb and hear it run a little. The main area where the fire was is the left front fender on the top, left side of firewall and the wiring under drivers side of dash, the gauges have black smoke between the glass and gauge. The top and upholstery look good with not much fire damage. When the fire department went to put the fire out the cut the hood off and also cut the fenders and header panel with the cutoff wheel. The car can be and easy winter project, the engine sounds good(not matching numbers), the paint(driver quality)on the rest of the car looks good, tires are all in good condition. The car does have a Nevada Salvage title that can be rebuilt title after it is fixed. This car is sold with the understanding that it has a salvage title and has fire damage it is in need of total restoration and is sold as is where is. We did put a piece of sheet metal over the burned part of fender, there is no hood. The matching 390HP 427 engine is balanced and the clutch feels perfect as it smoothly engages the 4-speed M-21 manual transmission. Positraction helps keep the radial tires on the pavement but they can be broken free – if you want to. Power steering and four-wheel disc brakes help you take command. The underside is solid but ugly, not meant to be shown off but needs no apologies either. No, everything is not fresh but nothing needs to be attended to for miles and miles, perhaps years and years. The black interior is all Corvette, simple and complete. It is not perfect but nothing is crying out to be replaced either. It, like the rest of the car, is driver-quality. You can climb inside, turn the key and enjoy! The exterior is nice, not perfect but nice. The chrome is outstanding with nearly every piece being show quality. The stainless could be polished but doesn't stand out as needing it. The red paint on the other hand is an older repaint from Nassau Blue with multiple flaws. Ten feet away, most people will not see the imperfections but the closer you get the easier they are to spot. Of all the C2 Corvettes we have driven, most concour-quality, something about this car stands out. She is uncharacteristically fun and easy to drive.
