This was an original owner Corvette until June 2016 - car has always been meticulously cared for and stored in a climate controlled garage. Looking underneath appears as if it hasn't been driven in the rain either - all factory markings and stickers are still in place underneath also. Originally bought in Oklahoma City and still remains in Oklahoma City. Michelin Pilot Sport Run Flat tires have about 200 miles total on them. Tires installed by Chevrolet Dealership as well as complete service and inspection. Everything works 100% correctly as it should, there are absolutely no squeaks, rattles, or known issues mechanically. The last 3 pictures show the known blemishes on the exterior (1 on the left rear fender opening above rear tire, 1 on the front passenger side of the bumper, and 1 on the passenger right fender) --- all could be professionally touched up, factory GM supplied touch up paint is also included. Interior still smells new as well and looks incredible. The odometer currently reads 8931 original miles, this is subject to change if test drives are conducted, but will not be anything drastic. I looked for a true 50th. Anniv. convertible before I found this one owner doctor's car in southern California about a year ago. It was a long way from Tennessee, but it had the best carfax I had found of all the ones I found.The only thing I found wrong with the car was the HUD wasn't working. I had a stroke a couple months ago and am not able to get in and out of the car very well is the only reason I'm selling. I replaced the stock wheels, which I still have and will go along with the car with 2016 style Z06 chrome wheels that look very nice on the car. Vehicle Overview Chevrolet introduced the redesigned 2003 version of its muscular sports car early, and this Anniversary Edition marked the 50th birthday of the fiberglass-bodied Corvette. Corvettes have what Chevrolet called the industry’s fastest, most powerful real-time damping suspension. Known as Magnetic Selective Ride Control, it controls wheel and body motion using magneto-rheological fluid in the shock absorbers. The system also integrates traction control. Exterior The overall styling of Chevrolet’s two-seat sports car — which dates back to 1997 — stands pat. Familiar cues include side air scoops, hidden headlights and quad taillights. All Corvettes have fiberglass bodies atop a steel frame. The Corvette rides a 104.5-inch wheelbase, measuring 179.7 inches long overall and stand just under 48 inches tall. Service and Inspection Report: We brought this nice Corvette in for service and found a few things to do in order to make this car just right. The prior owner had kept the vehicle very clean and maintained, otherwise. We started by doing an oil/filter change using the correct Mobile 1® 5W-30 synthetic oil and a Delco oil filter. While under the vehicle we didn’t note anything else in need of attention. The air filter was in good order as was the remainder of the underhood items. With our Snap-On Solus® scanner, we moved our attention to the vehicle’s chassis systems, we found a few latent codes for both the ABS (anti-lock brake) and ride control systems that we serviced. The ABS module was replaced with a new GM component as the early Delphi unit is known to fail. The ABS is now code-free and as designed. This vehicle is equipped with GM’s ride control which allows the driver to choose between touring and sport suspension settings. It’s a sophisticated system that is now on most newer vehicles including premium brands. We detected a code related to the steering angle sensor and replaced that sensor for you, clearing the cause of the code. This procedure requires removal and installation of the steering column for changing the sensor. We did that for you! That system now works as designed, as well. The brakes looked good front and rear. We scanned the remainder of the vehicles systems and found them to be code-free. The vehicle’s battery appeared to be about six years old so we decided to install a new correct-rated battery for you! Finishing up, we noticed that the climate control was a little low on refrigerant so we topped up the system and added 2 oz of compressor oil to assure good lubrication. We do our own air conditioning service inhouse and hold a valid certification through MACS, unlike some other guys. Shop around and then ADD IT UP! Why buy one that needs work? How much will that cost you in addition to the car itself? The items that we serviced would easily cost you $3,500 if you did all of this after the sale. Buy from Grove.
