1967 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 DeluxeProtecto Plate warranty booklet.Owners Manual. Paperwork, brochures, maps, business cards. The car was originally 1967 Chevelle 300 Deluxe, Radio Delete, 283 3 Speed on the column, AC, Blue, Blue interior. The car today maintains its original body panels, Original interior, 3 original of its 4 T-3 headlights, Original headliner, and glass, Its original bumpers, lenses, chrome trim, emblems.Original rubber flooring. The car is a impeccable time piece as an original survivor. A Big Block conversion was done on the car. 12 bolt rear end, 3:73 Gearing, Muncie M-21, 4-Speed, and a 519 BB. Check out the Original Red Cal Custom 4 speed shifter knob. I have the original Protecto-plate, Warranty Book. The transmission was rebuilt and shifts great.A Scatter shield was installed. The 12 bolt was rebuilt with new gears 3:73, and positraction center unit. The motor is still cabled down to the mounts, anti lift. New radiator large single core, switched dual spawn fans, 160 thermostat. MSD Coil and Ignition. 1/2" Custom aluminum fuel line, insulated. New Fuel Tank and sending unit, gauge works at dashboardThe Temp gauge misreads, it is off by 26 degree's, shot the block with temp gun.No heating issues. New Electric Fuel Pump on toggle, and filter. Dual Fans on toggle switch.New Tach was installed as the Stewart Warner that it came with did not work. Front Disc Brakes were installed, along with the master cylinder, lines etc. I replaced the old cool can with a Moroso Can at trunk. I installed the Hotchkis suspension kit and sway bar. Rear Mickey Thompson Drag radials on 15 x 8 black steel wheel. BF Goodrich Redline tires, Blue 15 Steelies, Poverty Caps are on the car. The car is a blast too drive and is scary fast. The car is set up as they did back in the day and draws a lot attention at shows. The workmanship and detail is what makes this car something special and quite different. If you look at the hood it is raised on its hinges too allow heat to disperse like a cowl hood. The car runs at 195 and no heating issues, and will run on 93 octane, it wakes up with 104. It is truly a great piece to cruise around town. This car was featured in Chevy-hi-performance and Muscle Car magazines. It was given the name PLAIN BROWN WRAPPER. It was also once owned by legendary Bonneville salt flat racer George Poteet. It is a stunning example of a grandma sleeper car that Detroit should have built. It has never been rusted or wreaked and retains all of its original sheet metal. The engine 1970 512 block 30 over 454 with Gm rectangular port heads. Intake is Gm 163 casting. 770 dual line Holly, headers are 2 inch ceramic coated exiting thru flomasters mufflers along with Quick-time electric cutouts.. The transmission is a tremec 5 speed. Rearend is a 3:73 12 bolt posi that has been rebuilt with new axles bearings and seals.It has an aluminum drive shaft and high-torque mini starter. an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.The vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes. 140 amp alternator and HID headlights .Paint is Sikkens bc/cc and is a 9 on a scale of 1-10. The car is equipped with factory guage pack and secondary guages mounted under the dash. Classic Auto air keeps everything cool and a hidden audio system plays the tunes. I installed Tmi Bucket seats for driving comfort. I have the original bench and rear seat, both of which are in excellent condition.All the bushing, and ball joint have been replaced The car also has quick ratio power steering.This car was built to mimic a 427 copo complete with steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps.
