This auction is for my 1969 z28 rs with original #'s matching 302. This car was built in the second week of December 1968 in California at the vanuys los angeles plant. that is why it is not a x code car. I could not get a clear picture of the vin stamped on the block but is visible by eye and matches vin on dash. also stamped 1206 DZ for December 6th. I am not sure if the Muncie trans is original to car, the #'s stamped vertical are: A37476 or 5? horizontal #'s across top are 3925660. tailshaft is 3857584 GM. Rear end is BU 1101G1. The engine and trans have been rebuilt with less than 300 miles. The car runs very strong and drives great as all mechanicals are newly rebuilt.The z28 has only had 1 repaint which is now fathom green but was originally light green special order.the car is amazingly about 98% complete with all original rally sport equipment, even has the headlight washers still in place which you hardly ever see.I have the original DZ carb but is running a new holley now.The green deluxe interior is in very good condition, seats and headliner are very good,door panels are cracked on arm rest, has the original carpet which is faded, rust on dash by windshield like most I have seen, original rosewood steering wheel with only one small crack.original console gauges.floor boards and trunk pan are solid. rockers are solid and straight. both quarter panels have some rust which I will show in pictures. lower fenders have small rust bubbles.this car has its original sheet metal. I am selling it for the original owner, who was the General Motors Executive in charge of the Camaro line of cars at the time of this race. Up for sale is a super nice 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. I have set the reserve at a very reasonable figure for such a nice Z28. To the best of my knowledge I am the third owner of this Z28 that was originally purchased from the local Chevy dealer. At the time of purchase the original owner had it Ziebart undercoated, because of that and the fact that it has never been in any snow, salt or even left outside for any period of time it is a rust free, rock solid, super straight Z28. When I purchased this Z28 over four years ago I thought I was going to be able to keep it so I went through it from one end to the other and have all receipts to prove what has been done to it. I also have both build sheets. Body: The body is super straight with very nice lines. The paint is mostly original paint. The nose has ben repainted along with a few spots here and there with a perfect paint match. Decals are very close to perfect with just a couple small spots where they lifted and repaired. Suspension: Every wearable part in the suspension has been replaced including but not limited to: ball joints, springs, all bushings, tie rods, sway links, & shocks. After all the parts were replaced a complete alignment was performed. The spec sheet is available. Engine & Transmission: The original engine had a lifter noise when I purchased it. So it was removed, inspected and rebuilt by Foster Racing Engines of Jackson, MI. with all machine work done by Precision Engine, also of Jackson, MI. It is the original block bored .30 over with all the original tin and crank. The original 194 heads were junk when GM made them so they were replaced with a set of drilled GM LT1 2:02 camel hump heads that were also completely redone with all new valves, springs, guides and seals. Everything else in the engine is new including but not limited to Eagle, Speedpro, Edelbrock, Melling the list goes on. When the engine was out a complete new LUK clutch kit, OEM fork and pivot ball were also installed. The transmission shifted perfect but was still inspected. New bushings were installed in the shifter along with two U-joints. Interior: The interior is very nice with a perfect dash. The seats and belts are original and very nice. New components include but not limited to sail panels, headliner with trim, rear armrest, package tray, carpet, door trim. The end result is a super strong running and very nice driving Z28. This 2001 Camaro SS with 47,318 miles has been meticulously cared for and mainly taken to local car shows, where it has won multiple trophies. Up for sale is a real 1973 RS Z28 this is not a clone! This car is originally from California and is a rust free original body. You will not find a nicer Z28 anywhere! We just completely restored this car from bottom to top and everything is in new or excellent condition. The underside of this car was so clean and straight all we had to do is clean it and then apply a few fresh coats of satin black paint. The black interior is in excellent condition and everything looks as if it were new. The exterior of the car has a complete professional show quality paint job it is a beautiful burgundy metallic with the black Z28 stripes completely buried in top of the line PPG clear. The clear is so perfect you can't feel the stripes when you rub your finger over them. The paint is much better than how it would have been from the factory! We also replaced all of the chrome trim, emblems, front nose and grill. The engine is a brand new show quality 383 cu. in Chevy small block! This engine isn't original but is completely upgraded and has over 400 HP! The engines all top of the line components including a Scat crank, H Beam rods, Probe forged pistons, Aluminum heads, Roller rockers, Aluminum pulleys, All billet dress up items and a quick fuel carburetor! We have also replaced the clutch. The car has Air Conditioning and it has been converted to R134A. The exhaust is all new Magnaflow and is completely stainless steel!
