Description 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Hardtop A nice driver in the very desirable Bel Air Hardtop body style. Starts and drives and stops like it should. Improvements in the past 18 months New clutch disc and pressure plate, flywheel resurfaced. New transmission mount Four new Coker Classic 6.70 X 15 correct size whitewall bias ply tires Rebuilt carburetor New complete exhaust system from exhaust manifold back Rebuild kit in idler steering arm 4 New shock absorbers including new front shock mounts Optima 6 volt battery and both battery cables with a upscale battery cutoff 6 Volt alternator replacing the generator Rebuilt NAPA starter motor Fan belt and all hoses with new thermostat. New front and rear chrome bumpers with correct bumperetts and rear license plate holder & light New chrome horn ring New emergency brake handle Electric fuel pump – used to prime carb when car has not been started for several days. New plugs, points, condenser, distributor cap and spark wires. Rebuilt master brake cylinder Improvements done earlier New water pump complete brake job including shoes, hoses and lines. Parking light lens and housings new taillights windshield and gasket side glasses door sills repainted Further comments The clock does not work. One of the two horns does not work but I think it is just wiring, the dome light does not work The original radio is out of the car as I was going to have it rebuilt, but is included. the rear trunk latch needs to be replaced as the spring is broken, the lock works I have a new 6volt electric wiper motor with new wiper arms and blades (Cost $300) which needs to be installed. The paint job is a 10 footer, up close it has some fisheyes which will not buff out, looks good from 10 feet, no dents or apparent rust. The interior is worn original but very useable. No rips or tears. Carpet has been replaced Original owner’s manual included Selling to reduce my collection.
