1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door Sedan This car presents a very unique buying opportunity from our dealership, McGill Chevrolet. This Bel-Air was originally sold from our dealership. The original invoice is in a plastic sleeve on the right rear window along with the purchase check dated July 8, 1955. The car has only had 2 owners throughout her entire life, and our dealership re-purchased it from the estate of the second owner. We have decided to sell it to someone who we hope will give it a good home. ... It is a good Chevy that possesses the original 235.5 cubic inches (3.9L) Blue Flame I6, paired with the timeless PowerGlide automatic transmission. Details/Features: • 235.5 cubic inch Blue Flame I6 (136 original hp) • Power Glide 2-Speed Automatic Transmission • Aftermarket Radio • Door Handle Shields • White Wall Tires • Original spare tire 2 Total Owners Low Mileage: 19,966 The engine idles well, and starts well every time. The engine will run, but for extended periods of time the transmission leaks and there is an oil leak. This is probably related to the gaskets, as the car has had very little road time. Steers and stops with the standard steering and brakes (no power steering). Drives straight down the road with no unusual vibrations, pulling, etc. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive! The original color of this car was India Ivory/Shadow Gray. It was painted black with a white top in the 70’s, and the paint coat looks beautiful. Now for the minor issues: no rust issues to worry about with this car, other than a couple of dots here and there which are pictured and are not structural. The smaller portion of the drivers-side window has a small crack in it, not affecting vision. Also pictured are two tears on the drivers portion of the cloth seats, easily repairable. Selling my 62 wagon car was original from Ca. made it's way to east coast. has factory tinted glass and factory air but missing compressor and brackets. Car was sitting inside from 1982 till last year. Motor is a 1965 327 with double hump heads edlebrock intake and carb. pertonics electronics ignition, motor was rebuilt back in 1981 and doesn't smoke make noise or burn or leak has about 8500 miles on it.trans is a aluminum powerglide that shifts perfect no leaks. stock rear. I put 4 wheel power disk brakes new brake lines and cables for e brake. changed the power steering box to a modern box . new custom dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers. new 15" mag wheels and tires. Car is straight never hit,all stainless and bumpers excellent. new paint has 1966 gto bucket seats new carpet and insulation. vdo gauges tilt column car runs and drives excellent. Has small hole in the spare tire well but rest of the underside is rust free no flake or scale or patches. needs a headliner and the power window motor in tailgate not working. asking $19500.00 or bo trades pre 64 hotrod ,streetrod. no junk or ratrods Car is for sale local and could end at anytime thanks for looking
